2011 Planning - join me!

Count me in too! We are coming April 1st 2011 and can hardly wait!! We went this past February and had such a blast...we almost planned for 2010 but then heard 2011 was the 40th anniversary and thought that would be a cool time to go!!!

So we were looking at going April 1st of 2011 and Easter doesn't fall until the 24th...for some reason my daughter's spring break falls earlier. I figure the crowds will still be high, but will it be a little less because Easter isn't until towards the end of the month?
Thanks!

Please count us in - we had to cancel our Feb. 2010 trip, but we're now planning on January 2011. :woohoo:

Ack! I can't decide when we should go in 2011 or where we should stay. Ideally I would love to go in January and October, but I think we may only be able to go once. I'm worried about the weather in January since it will probably be too cold to swim, but I don't know if I can wait until October. We could also go in early April, but it will be more expensive and crowded.

Not sure when, but sure hope it will be sometime in 2011! Thanks for starting this so I can dream along and plan with you!! :thumbsup2

hello everyone!

we are planning on going the last week in march to celebrate our twin daughters' 5th birthdays. it's their first trip!

i'm hoping that since easter falls on the 24th, we'll be able to avoid the crazy crowds...but cross your fingers for us, please. ;)

We went January 2008 and plan to go again Jan 2011.
My Top 10 Reasons for Jan date choice:
1. Dates limited because I am a teacher
2. Lowest costs for moderates of the dates I can go
3. Hate the heat (it was actually freezing when we arrived last time but within days it was 75F - pools were all 80F and we do swimming in cold anyway)
4. Christmas decorations were still up and parades etc for holidays still on when we arrived and then we got to see the non holiday parades too!
5. One water park open when we arrived, then the other opened before we left
6. Few rides closed when we arrived (we checked which would be closed while we were there and made sure to ride them first)
7. I need the sun in the middle of our dark and rainy west coast winter
8. Crowds strat out big but quickly disippate by theend of our stay
9. Flights are low cost
10. There is no bad time to be at Disney if you plan well!

Did you gothe the first week in January? That is when we are thinking about going. At least now it's only a year away! :woohoo:

Hey! We can all say we are going to Diseny World next year now!!!! I get to make reservations this year! Happy New Year :woohoo:

We currently have a Bounceback booked for Dec. 2010 at AKL, but my DH wants to change our dates to early Feb 2011. I really don't want to let go of our awesome BB rate that we have for Dec. and begin the quest for a Feb. discount...it's always so stressful waiting/searching/hoping for a deal. :headache:

Does anyone know if they will honor our BB rate that we have for Dec.'10 for a room in Feb.'11 once the 2011 rates are posted?

If not, do you think that we should go ahead and book for Feb. and then apply any discount that might b/c available to our ressie? Hmmm... :confused3

Yes we arrived in the cold Jan 1, 2008 (you know its cold when someone from Canada found it cold!) Not too cold for sons to be in the pool since they were heated - just no lounging at the side of the pool. By the next day the weather improved and we were at the water park on Jan 4. We went home with nice tans. So nice to be out in the sun in the middle of the winter since we experience many cold rainy days here in the winter. We were able to hit both water parks during our trip since one was open when we arrived and the other opened before we left (Disney generally refurbishes one water park at a time in Dec/Jan) It is omprtant to check what wll be closed before you do your plans. I am pretty sure that spash mountain is always closed at that time.

We had planned a June 2010 trip at the Poly with a great PIN code, but are now seriously thinking of postponing our trip to 2011 due to some craziness and uncertainty at work. I'm a bit sad because June 2011 seems so far away, but I know June 2010 will be here before I know it and then it's just 356 days from there. ;)

We are already planning to be there the week leading up to Christmas. 2 nights at AKLV Concierge and then 5 nights at the BLT in a 1 bedroom MKV. We were just there this past Oct for MNSSHP and 2 years is a long time away but we have a wknd planned at Disneyland in Sept so we will still get our Disney fix

It has been 13 months since our last WDW trip...I'm going through Disney withdrawals! At least it is a new year...now I can say...next year I'll be at Disneyworld!

Has anyone booked a BB for 2011 yest? Would love to know what is being offered in January or February 2011. Looking for approx Feb 11 to the 27th.

Thanks
Ted

Welcome everybody!! I can't wait until August when the 2011 packages are released so I can book the trip.

For those of you planning to go in January, when are you booking? Are you planning on booking a room only ressie and then switching to a package or are you just going to wait until August to book?
