2011 Free Dining is Extended! New dates as of 8/3

I just got off the phone with "Dante" a few minutes ago, actually!

It ended up being a room discount, unfortunately, not dining. On the upside, he wished me a magical day, so that was still nice! haha

Oh well, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Friday's big announcement being FD!!

Ditto, this mama desperately needs a vacation and first trip to Disney with FD is just what the doctor ordered.

Last time they were posted around 6am central time... but thats just when I happened to check so it may be sooner

I really think it's coming. I called specifically asking for free dining. Said I would upgrade to a deluxe from my moderate. At first the CM was not going to say anything. Asked if I had gotten a pin via email. I said no that I had been having trouble with email since they were stolen. Asked if he would be kind enough to look for me or if I should hang up and call back to get someone who would. He looked, no pin, but I then asked you don't know of any free dining coming do you. All he said was to be sure to check the website and my profile in the next few days!!!!!

I just called as well and had a PIN for free dining, but not for Sept. when we'll be traveling. I told my CM that I would just wait and see what the "Big Announcement" was on Friday. She said, "OK, we'll look forward to talking with you again on Friday". Hmmmm.......

No, DVC members are not entitled to Free DDP using their membership. They would have to book & pay for a seperate package just like everyone else.

I can only wish and hope! I'll be keeping my fingers, toes, eyes and ears crossed for me and everyone else here!

I guess only time will tell if we will be pleasantly (should I say ecstatically) surprised!

Free dining 2012 offer now up on Virgin's site for UK travellers. Hopefully this will also be offered by the other airlines. Looking good for my May 2012 trip.

Hi all I was reading alittle bit on here last night before bed. Got up this morning not feeling all that good, but know if I'm making to wdw by sept I have to get up. When got to kitchen table I found a flyer from Disney Destinations for a Disney Presentation for this coming sunday. Anyone ever go to one of these? Any chance of getting free dining, great discount? Anyways my day is looking better and I haven't even left the house.

The offer on the website doesn't mention free dining AT ALL for value resorts....only moderate and deluxe. Hmm....

Note, however, that the UK offer is for dates in 2012... not 2011. While I remain hopeful, I won't get my hopes up too high (free dining was offered in April/May for our travel dates (late August/early Sept) every year we've gone since 2006 - unfortunately we didn't book by Dec for this year's trip).

I'm in the same boat. I didn't even know it was being offered

Also, if I"m not mistaken, the UK deal is always for Delux and Mods only. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I hope you're wrong. We are hoping to visit POP in January. The UK site also has a 5 night minimum requirement, which would not work for us because we are staying just 3 nights.
I guess I'll just wait and hope like everyone else.
If it's not offered, we bring a lot of our own food, and eat minimally. That won't be too bad because we'll be going on a cruise and will definitely have a lot to eat there
