**2011** Epcot Food & Wine Festival HAS ENDED. 2012 Festival 9/28 - 11/11

I am attending the french regional lunch for the first time 10/28..I was wondering is there a dress code? I know there is a slight dress code for dinner at bistro de paris but was not sure if there is one for the lunch..Not worried about myself more my husband he is all about tees and shorts at disney.

To each his own - I've had great experiences at Kouzzina. My family of 12 went down last year around this time, and we struggled at a lot of restaurants that just couldn't handle a party that large (even though they took our ADR!) But Kouzzina was great - they got us in and seated on time, they were extremely attentive, and the atmosphere was great for family bonding. Also, we loved the food.

Then my mom, dad, husband and I went again in May to celebrate my husband and I (finally!) graduating college after 8 years of part time studies, and when they announced our celebration to the room, instead of just the normal Opa! the whole room cheered for us and came over and congratulated us - it made us feel really special about our accomplishment. And again, the food was fantastic.

I've had bad experiences every time I've eaten at California Grill, though, and I know plenty of people swear by their experiences there - so to each his own ;)

The reason it matters, though, is that a lot of people booked these signature dinners with the sole intent of seeing her, and Disney is being very elusive as to whether or not she is actually going to be there. I love my Kouzzina meal, but as previously mentioned I can do the chef's table for cheaper - I'm paying the premium to meet her. I talked to a friend that had the signature dinner on the 30th booked, and she got a call that it was cancelled. I've tried to find out 3 times now if mine is cancelled and every CM I've talked to thinks I'm completely crazy and tells me only the 28th is cancelled, despite many reports to the contrary. For that much money, you'd think they would be a little better about disseminating information.

I agree, we have only dined at Kouzzina once and it turned out to be hands down the best meal of trip, and we did several signature restaurants that trip as well. Because we were so impressed, we booked the signature dinner on the 25th to meet Cat Cora. Now we're waiting on our refund and have booked Kouzzina for the regular menu dinner on another night.

Now that Le Cellier is Signature for dinner, do they have a dress code for dinner?

My signature dinner is on the 28th. I have received no notification that it has been cancelled and it is still among my reservations listed on the Disney website.

The only cancellation calls I'm seeing evidence of at this time are for the signature lunch that was scheduled for 10/30. I'm currently unaware of anyone who has received a call to cancel their signature dinner. I am sure it's pretty difficult for Disney to deal with the cancellation of six sold-out events, and they're still a month away, but I know I'd like to know what my options are.

sorry, should have clarified that they kept repeating that her appearance at the 10/28 kitchen memories was cancelled. if the CM read me the statement one more time I was going to hang up on her, which I never do.

The one I went to last year had people in normal park attire to business casual.

From going to the French Regional Lunch last year, I would say you need to wear stretchy pants!!!

Just received my weekly All Ears newsletter and saw this:

"Due to last-minute scheduling conflicts, Chef Cat Cora is unable to appear at this year's Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. All of her appearances have been cancelled, including those scheduled to be held at her restaurant, Kouzzina, on Disney's BoardWalk. Also, she will not host the Kitchen Memories event scheduled for October 28. Guests with pre-paid reservations for these events will be able to reschedule or obtain full refunds for the cancelled events. In her place, Chef Charles Mattocks, known as "The Poor Chef" will be host for the Kitchen Memories demonstration. Mattocks has been seen on the "Dr. Oz" show. The new price for the event will be $110 per person, plus tax, gratuity included. Alternate experiences at Kouzzina will be available, and will be announced soon. Kouzzina's Chef Dee Foundoukis will lead the 3 p.m. culinary demonstration on October 29 that Cora was supposed to lead.

There is no dress code that I am aware of. I am going to one on Friday and wearing a tee shirt and capri pants.

No. They don't.

Signature restaurants don't really have a dress code either. It's pretty much just suggested that you not show up looking like you just got out of the swimming pool.

I saw pictures on easy wdw as well as reading allears.net

I am very excited they have made a smaller pour of beer (6oz) and wine (3oz) they seem to be in the $3 to $4 range. Now I get to try more in a day!!!!

Does anyone know if I am correct on the assumption? I can't find any info on exactly how big the new WINE samples are, but I'm guessing for $3 they can't be that big.

They are pretty small. My guess would be 2 oz. maybe 3. I'm basing that on previous years versions. I don't remember ever paying more than $4 for a wine sample & those were small. I sure hope it's not smaller than what they were serving before even if it is $3.

I read somewhere it was 3oz, should be in that range...certainly not more than a 1/2 glass.
