What dates are you there? They're doing other wine dinners at FF that aren't "official" Food and Wine events. You might be able to do one of those!
Oct 6th - Domaine Serene
Oct 13th - Wines of Spain
Oct 20th - Wines of Chile
Oct 27th - Wines of Alsace- Sparr
Nov 4th - Markham Winery
These aren't open for booking yet are they? And when they are does anyone know how you would go about booking it? Thanks!
Yikes! That's cutting it close.I called WDW Fest at 6:30 p.m. and within five minutes had a confirmation number for Taste, Shake and Indulge Like the French on Oct. 22. Our flight out of MCO is at 7:10 that night ... could be interesting![]()
Yikes! That's cutting it close.
"Taste, Shake and Indulge Like the French" goes from 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. It's held at the Bistro de Paris -- and it's not as if you can just hail a cab in front to the Bistro.
How are you getting to the airport? Where will your carry-on bags be? When do you want to be at the airport?
TSA lines can be awful at Orlando International Airport. I usually like to arrive there 2 hours before scheduled flight time (or 90 minutes before boarding to put it another way).

That is cutting it a bit close, but a 4:30pm cab from the Beach Club should get them to the airport in plenty of time, even with rush hour traffic.
Has anyone heard of any PFTS that are close to sold out? We want to book November 5, but I didn't think to do it this morning (it was awfully early for me here in MN).
I booked the 11/6 Discovery of Chocolate and the 11/10 Italy Dessert and Wine Pairing. Got in right at 6am my time, 15 min wait, 15 min to book those 2 events.
I'm in the same boat as you. Six of our seven events show up in my reservation list online. All seven have posted to my charge account. When I search for the missing reservation with my confirmation number, the system cannot find it. I tried searching with both my home and cell phone numbers. I keep getting a message that reads "We are unable to find a match. Please reconfirm your details, or call (407) 939-6244." So, that's what I'm going to do... first thing in the morning.Yes, I have my confirmation number. Thanks for the advice.
We did the French Regional Lunch with an early evening flight for the last two years. Last year, our lunch was from 12-3:30pm on Sunday, October 24. Our flight from MCO was at 6:05pm. Like you, we were staying at the BWV and had stowed our bags. We just walked back to the BWV, hubby retrieved the stowed luggage while I hailed the cab, we loaded up and headed out. Both times, we had no trouble at the airport. HOWEVER, both of these trips were pre-scanner days. I haven't been through MCO since the scanners were installed (we drove for both our March and our May trips). Does anyone know how much delay there is now that the security is a bit tighter?DH is on the road this week (someone has to pay for my Disney addiction). He looked at what I successfully booked at 7 a.m. and asked what are we doing on Saturday

Called right at 7:00, on hold for about 15 minutes. We got both of our reservations!
3-D Dessert Discovery, Sweet Seats: October 28th
Party for the Senses, Wine View Lounge: November 5th
We'll be spending the rest of our weeks sampling at booths, doing a few demonstrations, and of course, park touring...can't wait!!
Hey, Debbie!.... Hoping to book the French Regional Lunch Nov 5 -- now Cotes du Rhone, no longer champagne.
Got it for November 6 -- somehow got a wacky Disney site that lists the dates as 5 and 7 -- maybe from last year?
Hey, Debbie!
Where do you see the F.R. Lunch listed as Cotes du Rhone for Nov 5?I hope that is from last year, cause I booked the Champagne Frunch for November 4... that is what I am expecting, (and hoping is not changed) because that is what I booked.
goodvibes Me wants Champagne!!)

I don't think it's anything to do with the scanners. Even before they got them, I have been at MCO where the security line took upward of 45 minutes to get through. If you hit something like that you are just out of luck if you didn't arrive early, especially if you had to stand in line to check luggage before going to security.
