**2011** Epcot Food & Wine Festival HAS ENDED. 2012 Festival 9/28 - 11/11

Well I waited until after noon to call and book the Tequila Tasting for DH and I and didn't have more than a 5 minute wait to talk to someone to book it for 10/2. Unfortunately DH didn't pay much attention last week when I asked him to look over the Food and Wine festival information and let me know if there was anything he would like to do so hopefully when he finally decides, whatever he wants will still be available.

I don't want to schedule too much for us this trip but I would like to do a few of the seminars. And the Wine and Dessert and Beer and Food pairings in Italy sound good too! I just have to narrow down what we want to do now because this trip's budget just got bigger :rotfl:

I do remember that, thanks. We will be in WDW for the last one, but not that crazy about the winery. We have booked the Chef's Counter for another night that week. I like their wine list so we should have a nice dinner. Since our dinner is two nights before the "big" dinner, maybe they will practice on us! It is more fun to be at an official event though, where you can chat with the other people getting drunk at the table.

So true, so true

Hi! It's a PDF, so it can be read on any device that supports PDFs. There are ways to put it onto a kindle, but the formatting might be a bit strange!

To the OP - You can download a tool called Calibri and use it to convert the pdf to MOBI, then move it to your Kindle via USB or email to your Kindle email for download (I use this method). This should improve the readability of the book on your Kindle.

Where did you find it? I can see my c/c purchase pending, but I would LOVE to view it somewhere to see. I booked the Dessert and Wine Pairing in Italy. It's not showing up in the "My Reservations" list.

My Italy Dessert & Wine Pairing isn't showing up either and when I input the info to "find a missing reservation" the system can't locate it. CC shows the charge pending so I'm not really worried, but I would like to see it for myself!! :goodvibes

Yes! Exact same for me. Well, if it's the same for both of us, maybe we're good?? :)

Kathy, If it does not show up under your dining reservation list by tonight, I would call first thing tomorrow morning! You do have the reservation number, right?

Curious did anyone book the Radeberger beer signature dinner? Would really like to have a review when you get back! This I think is a first time event.

I called DVC Member Services this afternoon to book a culinary demonstration and a wine "seminar"...the little 45-minute presentations. The CM had no problem booking my culinary demonstration, but it *blocked* my wine seminar...it said that my age couldn't be verified. I laughed a little...I told her that my birthday is the 16th (trying to book the event on the 15th) but I was well-beyond the legal drinking age:laughing:. I told her that I'd be turning "21 with 16 years of experience". She tried repeatedly, putting me on hold and contacting IT a few times, all without any luck. She told me she would follow up on it and get back to me by the end of the week. I hope she can get it for me. She said that it is still available, but I hope it is still available if/when they figure out that I am an adult:rotfl2:.

There's so much I wanted to do, but since I'm bringing my DSiL on her first trip to WDW, we need to spread out our time between all of the parks over 4 days. I figure that the two demonstrations will give us a nice little "sample" of the F&W Festival:lovestruc.

Does anyone know if cast members get a discount on Food & Wine events?

the only time I've ever heard of this is for the last two PFTS in November. They've done half-price tickets for cast for the past 2 years. Doesn't mean they will do it this year.

Well I did not call for anything....

I was planning to do a PFTS with Wine View Lounge but I looked at my travel schedule.... I may just go to Las Vegas instead :) I will be out there working....

This would have been better if Disney had not changed the plan and offered the event the first weekend...

Yes, I have my confirmation number. Thanks for the advice.

This caught my eye but is not when we will be there - if it was I might have sprung for it but part of me keeps saying you'll be drinking Radeberger Pils which is only like $14-15 bucks for a twelve pack and available in pretty much any store. Same reason I skipped the Italy beer pairing. Chances are they will be serving the same beers for both that they offer at the countries and nothing unique.

The reservation system this morning was BONKERS! My DH was on the phone for 70 minutes, after the first 30 minutes it rang and then told him his call could not be completed so then he had to call again and waited 40 minutes and was finally put through to a CM. Luckily, we were able to book the Buddy Valastro Sweet Sunday on 10/9! :) So happy!

I must of been one of the lucky ones. Called right at 7 AM when I was on my way to work and got right through. I had a very efficient cast member, booked PFTS for October 22 and was off the phone in 10 minutes. Cool!!! Now the waiting begins........

Dumb question -- I booked the events, now what? Are there tickets that I have to pick up somewhere?

Thanks, that's what I was looking for. I knew there was another step I needed to take.

For your own records, print a listing of your dining reservations at http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/ ("My Reservations").

At each event that you paid for, the host will have list with your name on it. They may ask for a drivers license, so have it with you.

At some events, such as wine seminars, you will get a ticket when you check in.
