hey Sue M exactly my thought !!!

i hv a gv but not cl !!!!!!Budget was stretched enough getting this !!!

But man the oats look good !!!!

:rotfl: Yes, poor us, having to suffer with a GV room at BC

I'm hoping that Marlton Mom will hide me some CL stuff, and leave me the map! Seeing as I won't be there till Aug, I think it's best that she just sticks to the booze, as that's the only thing that will keep :goodvibes

I see you decided on staying :)

I hope to get 2 queens too, and a full balcony. Even though there's just 2 of us, my daughter (25) & me. I really want my own bed, and don't think my daughter will be thrilled getting the day bed.
I only have full balcony request, but will do as Teena & others suggested, and when I check in, ask if the room has a full balcony & 2 beds.

Well there are always those 'Lunchables' in the Beach Club Marketplace.... I hear they last FOREVER!!!!

Hi all! I wanted to share a little something off the YC/BC topic tonight. Over the past month I have been reading this board and getting excited about our first trip to the BCV and surprising my 13 year old. Tonight I had a blessing beyond miracles I wanted to share for all of those I have been praying for and all of those who might need a little encouragement.
Two years ago my family moved from a little town outside of Charleston,SC called St. Stephen, SC to Kentucky. It was not an easy move but we felt God was leading us away. My mother and her husband and my two best friends still live there. Tonight I was out celebrating a day early with my husband our 12th anniversary talking about our trip and even talking to the table next to us about their upcoming first trip, when my cell phone rang. It was my best friend Valerie. She was crying and shaking, tornados Heather tornados and then the phone went dead. Here I was several states away and I felt my world end. See shortly after I left the house next to my girlfriend's house to the left of her caught fire. Tonight a tornado took the house to the right of her. My mother lives a street behind her and my other friend lives a street in front of her. The tornado took a church on the main road in front of my mother's house, skipped her house she is renting (but closing on a nother house in a near by city in a few weeks) cut a path through trees and a field in I diagonal, hit the house next to my girlfriend's home, continued cutting a path through the field across the street heading for my other best friend's home and then lefted up back into the sky and touched down in the forest 5 miles down the road. When I got back in touch with my friends and mother, I can not tell you how wonderful their voices sounded! God blessed my family and friends beyond belief tonight! Others lost there place of worship and homes but not lives in this little town.
My best friend says when she goes to sell she is going to put in the ad "This house is wrapped up in God's hands"
For those who pray please send some prayers towards St. Stephen, SC tonight and the other places that where hit with these storms.
Thanks for my little interruption. Here are some pictures of the house just to the right of my girlfriends house and the church that was leveled.

:scared1: those pics are scary. Glad your friends are safe. I can't imagine living in an area prone to tornados. Well, we have to worry about earthquakes here.

Yes I have stayed in the wedding Gazebo view old standard room, now garden view room. It was on the 4th floor. Lovely room, nice and peaceful and the view overlooked the wedding gazebo. If this works, this is a photo from my balcony

We stayed in room 4131 last week at they YC and this was our view (they had three weddings while we were there):

I'm happy to hear that your family/friends are okay. They will be in my prayers.

It's very easy! We usually get to the kiddie area by walking straight down the Crescent Lake path and turning right at Hurricane Hanna's sign into the pool area. If you go in and walk past Hurricane Hanna's, you'll see a lifeguard on the left near the towel bin checking cards and handing out wristbands. The kiddie area will be there on your left - very easy! :) If you'd like to get over to the kiddie pool at the base of the pirate ship, just turn left instead of right where you see the Hurricane Hanna's sign.

Thanks as always! :thumbsup2

How many "entrances" are there to SAB?

Personally, I do not think you would be changed from a LV CL room to Deluxe room, as this would not actually be an upgrade. The deluxe room is actually less expensive than the LV CL room.

Hope that puts your mind at rest. :)
Thanks for your reply and what you said does help.

How many "entrances" are there to SAB?

Just off the top of my head, I can think of three: 1) the one that I mentioned right past Hurricane Hanna's; 2) one on the other end of SAB where the big slide lets out into the pool (closest to the lobby and accessible from the path along Crescent Lake); and 3) one near Beaches and Cream - also next to a towel bin. Maybe someone else can think of others, but those are the ones that we've used in the past.

I am soo excited to rejoin the DISboards. I was on quite a bit last year leading up to our April 2010 trip. I have just booked a June 24 to July 6 WDW vacation for my husband and myself! We will stay at a time share off property for a week and then spend 4 nights at Disney's Beach Club! We stayed at the Beach Club in 2005 when our daughter was in the college program. This trip will be in celebration of our 35th wedding anniversary.
Looking for suggestions for our anniversary dinner.

How is the soundproofing between connecting villas at BCV? We are currently booked at BWV but are hoping our wait list will come through for a 1BR at BCV in November. I think I've read that some are dedicated 1 Bedrooms & others are lock-offs with connecting studios. Can you hear the people next door? This will be our first deluxe villa stay & I can't wait!! :cool1:

Wow... I finally caught up!! This is what happens when you don't read for 2 days! Only took me 2 hours this thread is moving!!

So glad everyone who was involved in the storms yesterday seem to be ok. It was raining so hard last night in NYC the rain came through the bricks of my apartment so it was raining in my kitchen... crazy!

Anyway today was my 7 month window and I was able to switch the first 2 nights of DD and my Thanksgiving trip.. BLT 1 bedroom Lagoon view here we come!! DD was dying to stay at BLT ever since we visited the Disney Vacation Club store in Long Island. So now it's two nights BLT then to YC for 6 nights on the platinum plan (tours tours tours followed by food food food) then to the DVC home resort AKL 1 bedroom CL for the last 2 nights. I really can't wait for the 180 day mark so I can book all the reservations for dining and the tours. I love the planing but the spreadsheet is making me nuts!

Continuing to keep everyone in my prayers.

~Nannette

I was wondering when it comes to the Lagoon View Club Level rooms at the Beach Club, is there any "bad" ones when it comes to it's location and is the view going to be basically the same no matter which one we get?

Thanks as always! :thumbsup2

There is a 4th entrance near the door that leads into/out of the Yacht Club by Yachtsman Steakhouse.

Congratulations on 35 years of marriage!

And how fun to celebrate at Disney. We celebrated our 8th & 10th anniversaries there ... the 8th we stayed at WL so our dinner was at Artist Point. Our 10th we stayed at Beach Club and dinner was at Narcoossee's.

Last year, DH & I had a night out and ate at Shula's and it was definitely the best meal -- the most yummy steak, also lobster tails and the best key lime pie. Since it is so close to Beach Club, I highly recommend having dinner there. We also enjoyed our dinner at Narcoossee's so I would recommend that as well (we still go there each trip, just hasn't been on our anniversary).

Ok - I'd like in BUT we have a 5:35 ressie at Yachtsman!! I'll at least try and check in with Teena. Perhaps everyone will get along so well - it will still be going on after dinner. ::yes::

Any chance of making your ADR a little later? We had a ball at the last Dis Meet!

Congratulations on your anniversary! My DH and I will be celebrating our 3rd anniversary on our upcoming trip in May. We are having our anniversary dinner at the California Grill.

We went to Victoria's and Albert's for our anniversary dinner and it was amazing and romantic and extremly pampering. I would suggest it if you have never been. If you guys are foodies you can request the chefs table, they seat you in the kitchen privAte dinning room and the chef explains everything to you.

Hi Teena ,

i hv a garden view booked as i was under the impression all rooms had two queens !! we r trvg with two 7 year olds so def need two queens .do i need to request for that instead of full balcony as i def need a good nights sleep !!!!!!

puneeta

ps i also sent you a pm as did not want to crowd this growing forum !!!!

If there are four in your party, you will get a room with at least two queens in it.

For those who have reserved a Lagoon View - Club Level room at the Beach Club I was wondering have you ever been upgraded to their Deluxe Club Level room? Now I want to say I don't expect this to happen when my family and I check-in to the Beach Club this August and if we wanted to we could have reserved their Deluxe Room when we decided to stay there. However we choose not to reserve it because the Deluxe Rooms aren't located on the 5th floor where the Club Level lounge is, so that's why we reserved the Lagoon View. So I am wondering has this type of upgrade ever happened to you or anyone you know, because chances are if it happened to us we wouldn't want it.

Believe it or not, that's a downgrade. The price for a deluxe club level room is cheaper than the price for a Lagoon view club level room. Club level prices are: standard, garden, deluxe and then lagoon (unless they changed it again).
