Our dream trip to BC-CL was a trip DH won from work. We have to go through a travel agent. Well, I have done my research and I knew exactly what I wanted. Garden View-Cl room (or SV-CL or LV-CL if booked). She just emailed me and told me my only choice was a 2 bedroom suite at BC to get CL for $9800. So, basically, I could book my dream vacation through Disney but she can't. This doesn't seem fair and I don't get it. I am waiting to hear back from her about why I can't have the room I can see on the Disney site but I am sick thinking about having to give up BC-CL. Does this sound normal for using a TA?

Is the quiet pool just for guests of the BCVs or can guest of BC use it too?
Is there another hot tub other than the ones at SAB?
Does the quiet pool have the same hours as SAB?

There are three quiet pools at the Y&B. One is by BCV, one is by the BC and one is by the YC. If you are staying at any of those three resorts, all the pools are for your use as well as SAB.

There definitely is a hot tub at the quiet pool by the BCV. I honestly never walked by and looked to see if there was one by the BC and YC quiet pool.

The quiet pools do not have lifeguards and therefore are open whenever you want to use them.

From Page 1:

Quiet Pools are available at the Beach Club and Yacht Club 24 hours/7 days per week and at the Beach Club Villas (Check Posted Hours).
No lifeguards on duty.

Hot tubs may also be found at SAB and at the quiet pools.

Teena - I took your advice and kept checking for rooms opening up. I was able to get the first nine days back up to gv cl. Still have sv cl for the last six. I'm going to try 1. keep checking to see if the other dates open up for gv cl, of 2. when we check in beg to be able to pay the difference and stay in the same room!

They really were stingy in releasing the rooms. There was apparently only one room available with the 30% discount gv cl. I had to upgrade my in-laws to lagoon view cl. Of course you know they won't let us book the lagoon view because we are the dreaded "party of five"!

I have been checking every day too...in the hopes a GVCL room becomes available...if not...we will still have a great time at BC:goodvibes Glad you scored one!

we are the dreaded "party of five" too ;)

I'd have her double check and make sure she is booking the right dates. She should have access to the same stuff you do.

No- that's CRAZY!!!! Something smells fishy... double check those dates! (and what about YC CL?)

Teena, did you get my PM?
Can't get Disney out of my head, back to reality is for the birds!!!

Hi CR Resort Fan! We've stayed at BC three times in the past year (March 2010, July 2010 and February 2011) and I think the hours were relatively consistent each time. Someone else may be able to confirm.

I can confirm that seating is available! Here are two photos I took of the seating area in February:

To clarify, all of the tables with blue umbrellas are available for HH seating (not just the one in front of the towel bin!) During our last stay, guests didn't need to go past the lifeguard "checkpoint" and show your KTTW card/get a wristband to sit at the HH tables in the photos. Hope that helps!
Thank you for that reply and those pictures.

I know in July HH's was open until at least 9:00. There were nights when we filled up on appetizers from the CL lounge and cancelled our ts dinner. We would go swimming and later in the evening (around 8 or 8:30) we would order from HH's.

HTH.
Well I guess I will need to see what their closing time will be once we are there, however at least I know they will be open for lunch and won't need to worry about that when it comes to time.

How many in your traveling party?

Apparently they are being really stingy releasing the gv cl rooms. For the whole week there was only one available. We took the gv cl and bumped my in-laws up to a lagoon view cl.

I don't know how BC compares but for example Yc only has 5 GV CL rooms. Five! That seems soooo few to me. Plenty of lagoon and standard. So maybe this is Bc's issue? Just so few they go fast, like a deluxe room?

Hmmm... sometimes different deals are available through a TA. Sometimes a TA will HAVE to call to see if something is available. I can't tell you here how I know these things :rolleyes1 Just know that it is the TAs job to not only look on the agents website, it is their job to call to confirm. Sometimes a room will show up but then be gone.

I will be making my ADR's later this month and I was hoping to get some help...

Should we do breakfast or dinner at the Cape May Cafe or....

should we do breakfast at the Captain's Grille?????

Thanks for your help!!!
We're going both breakfast and dinner at Cape May. If we HAD to choose, it would be hard. Daughter wants the character...

No Slam Here..............Too funny, My DH recently retired from the USPS after 37 years but has dozens upon dozens of T-shirts with his union logo and branch number on them and frequently wore then at Disney, I found it amazeing how many times he ran into another Postal employee who would strike up a conversation when they saw his t-shirt but you do get sick of those darn shirts after a while :rotfl:
I am secretly buying NEW plain tee shirts for him and will make sure he has enough for our entire trip. *sigh* :sad2:

So I have to tell you that as far as DH and packing goes.. mine is kind of neat.... he always makes a list and starts about a week prior to vacation, he revises it and adds and takes away until the night before we leave.....

He gets everything out and lays it on the bed, and marks things off his list... and places everything in the luggage and then takes a picture of the bags with everything in it, in case it gets lost and keeps the list during that said vacation.

He marks up the list with things he should have brought and things he did not need and will use it as the base for the next vacation.....

He does this with a 3 night or 3 week, same process.

I am not to touch the luggage or the stuff laid out, I am to get my items and put them on the bed and he packs everything...
Is he OCD? I don't say that being mean, just curious. I'm a last minute packer because if I weren't, I would take EVERYTHING out and redo it thinking I missed something. :upsidedow

Have you looked into the online companies who will take old concert / college / etc t-shirts and make them into a quilt? That was my solution for my husband's MASSIVE shirt collection. It looks awesome, with one of his original basic training Army shirts in the middle!

I think I found them on Uncommon Goods' website, and I'm more than happy to PM you the link if you want.

:goodvibes
EEK! And then have to have a quilt hanging around here with those tee shirts??? :headache: No thanks. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Of course! Let me know if you need anything else. I have all of the BC Marketplace photos and a photo at the front entrance of each YC and BC restaurant (and a photo of each restaurant sign - the signs are on the front page.) I have a few of the pirate ship slide from different angles and a couple of SAB that Dee has on the front page. I also have a photo of tiny kiddie pool where the playground was located (before they took it down to create more seating.) Happy to share whatever might be helpful!

I'll also take any BC, YC and BWI photo missions for August - so fun! I was thinking of some more detailed photos of the "nuts and bolts" at BC Marketplace. Although if I was the crazy lady in the Marketplace taking photos in February, a toaster photo would really send me over the top!

I'll definitely have to PM you. I've been pretty busy lately, so not right away. But I'm glad to know you've got more pics for me to add.

We're going in August too and I hope to get a lot of pics. But sometimes the family gets in the way of picture taking!

Thank you everyone. It seems we had a miscommunication about Club Level and the beds. We have 3 adults going (DH, my, and my mom) and then DD3 and DS who will be in a PnP). We just need 2 queens though a daybed would be a bonus for DD though not needed. Once we got on the same page about needs we are set! Now I just need to decide between Standview and Garden View. The daybed is not as big of an issue as the full balcony (she has it in as our ONLY request) but which category would give us a better chance to get one?

There is definitely one at the YC. DH loved it first thing in the am. I could watch him from the balcony while I had my coffee!

Why thank you! For those of you wondering, this dog is a pure bred "American Sofa Hound". He is considered to be a "service" dog because he keeps other people from sitting on your furniture, which he considers to be strictly his.

His hobbies include laying on his left side, laying on his right side and eating.

Here is a rare photo of this dog in "action"....

I own a "sofa dog" too....he is a black lab though!!!

Doesn't seem right ... try another travel agent.
