Hey everyone...
I have to go back and read from page 125:scared1: Where have I been :confused3:confused3

I hope everyone is doing well...

I got my MRI results as we were heading to CT for my DH's uncles' funeral. The cancer has not spread and it is contained only in the right breast:worship::worship:

I am still waiting for genetic results and my 2nd opinion appt on April 6th and my original Dr appt on April 8th...
So I am off to read:surfweb:

Great news about the MRI results......wishing you the best on your 2nd opinion appt and your follow up with original Dr

I've never actually stayed in a GV CL, I've always booked the LV CL because I absolutely love it!! I do know, however, that there are beautiful GV CL views overlooking the wedding gazebo. Perhaps that might be a view you would like to request.

The balconies on the fifth floor aren't actually any larger but they are more "open" without what I call "framing" around the balcony:confused3 and I personally prefer them because sometimes (WL) I've had balconies where I feel a little closed in.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the response YCFAN. We would love to get a LV, but the cost is too much for us right now. I will take your advice and request a view of the Wedding Gazebo. Thanks again. Happy Yachting!!! :yay:

doccoc, that's wonderful news. I'm so glad your daughters are at ease, too. Good luck with the genetic results and your next appointments.

Teena, hope you're feeling pretty good this morning. Take it easy and get better.

MarltonMom, you are such a hoot. :rotfl:

I'm so glad the cancer has not spread! You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers!

Enjoy planning your vacation!

Back to reality today. My family had a wonderful time at DisneyWorld and loved BCV. We had room 348 (a one bedroom villa). We could see some of the fireworks at night from Epcot. Loved the location of the room as it was right by a staircase exit that let us outside and closer to Epcots entrance. The pool was awesome, mostly every afternoon we chilled out at the pool. Beaches and Cream and Hurricane Hannahs were both very good. Got to meet Teena on the 20th and 21st. It was so nice to meet her in person and talk a bit with her. Teena, our prayers are with you!!!! Sent you a PM, hope you got it!!! The one thing that did bother me was the "Pick a Pearl" right outside Hurricane Hannahs. My daughter picked a very rare pearl, the price said $15.95 but they charge you additional for the kind of pearl and how big it is. Also, if you want to make it into something it costs more. I think the lady working was very vague on the whole price of it all. My daughter ended up with a very expensive ring.

Unless there was a sign about an additional cost for certain pearls, this sounds very wrong. Do you have the receipt? I'd try calling the resort or emailing guest relations about this.

Anyway, glad your vacation was so good. How did you like the new balcony furniture?

I just got back from Beach Club Villas. The Bounceback offer was for 40% off non-discounted price of DVC villas (3-BR grand villas excluded) and deluxe resorts.
All dates were for 2011:

Hi Best Aunt. Was this your first BCV stay or are you a veteran? How are things at BCV?

I have a question about the Sunken Treasure. I was there in Sept. and ordered one at the pool and it was red. However, the picture in the front of this thread shows one that is green. Did I not get a Sunken Treasure?

Great news Doccoc! :thumbsup2

Teena - Hope you have a quick recovery. My name is Tina too and I'm hoping I get to meet you in very soon!

Great news on the MRI. Wishing you the best with your testing and future options! :flower3:

I know, I know, the thought of hairy man toes in glass slippers is pretty tough to take! ~MM
Better than the thought of hairy womens toes crammed into glass slippers.. :rolleyes1

DawnMaree-

I added the slideshow link to the Concierge Page.

I have a stash of BC photos (resort, room, SAB, lobby, grounds) from my trips in 2009 and 2010. I don't know if you want to look through them to see if you want to add any to your slide shows. I can upload them to Photobucket or Shutterfly or some other place if you have a suggestion.

I'll probably have time to work on this Friday- may be stuck at home due to a forecasted snowstorm. NO KIDDING!
Great! I'm always up for more photos. Sometimes I get rid of older ones and replace with newer and/or better ones. It's a never ending job. :upsidedow When you get them loaded on PB, you can PM me the link and I can go look at them and copy the ones I'd like to use over to my account. :goodvibes

Who has rented the surrey bikes? I was actually thinking about doing maybe doing this on our upcoming trip. We're a family of 5. Is this feasible with 5 of us? Can I just sit back and let the family peddle me around? princess:

Just checking in as quickly as I can! Back from Williamsburg and leaving for Florida today.

Teena, you have been in our thoughts and prayers - welcome home - I'm hoping to catch your report this morning before we leave again. Hugs to you! Meeting my parents in Florida tonight, and hoping to share some good news about your surgery with them.

Doccoc, so glad to hear the cancer is contained - we're thinking of you.\

Robyn and Amanda, thanks for keeping us all posted - continued positive thoughts and prayers for your parents.:hug:

MarltonMom, I'm going to give this one some thought for my husband and three boys - it will be funny to see who they THINK they are!

gottaluvpluto, I photographed and consumed that green sunken treasure on the first page and I can share a few things! First, the sunken treasure is not on the menu at Hurricane Hanna's. I read here that I could request it and the bartender might be able to make one. The bartender (with quite a line behind me!) said, "OK - I can remember this - I just need to think." He was so friendly and seemed pretty happy as the ingredients came to mind one by one! I asked him to add the cherry because it would make the photo a little more interesting, but the rest was his creation! So I'm not sure if it's always green, but there may be a little bartender creativity involved in the sunken treasures now, as they are not on the menu.

Thanks to those who posted mini reports, welcome to all the new posters and how exciting for Erika to be there AND be sharing it with us right now!!!!

The two times my family and I have been to Beaches & Cream we have always been able to eat there, however I want to confirm that you can also order Milkshakes from their to go section?

I know Dee already responded to your question with that great photo, but I had to smile when I read your question and her answer! My husband and our boys really enjoy late-night stops at Beaches and Cream "to-go" for malts. I have a photo of our youngest son happily drinking his take-out malt in our room at BC. We love shakes/malts from the "to go" window! :)

Also, I read your "shortcut" to DHS advice on another thread and thought it was very helpful - thank you!

DVC members get free wi-fi...

DVC members staying on points get free Internet. DVC members staying on a cash reservation do not and non-members staying on rented points aren't supposed to but sometimes do.

There is no intentionally free WiFi at any WDW property.

I'd take a GV room any day if it allowed 3 more nights :thumbsup2 We booked a GV too in Aug, and requested a full balcony. I think it will be fine. :goodvibes Esp if it gives you more Disney!

 Thanks. More Disney is always a bonus, downgraded rooms or not. :thumbsup2

Hi all,

I'm going to list the characteristics of each Princess and I want you to match up the MEN in your life to which Princess most closely matches their personality. This would mean matching your husband, dad, any sons, bosses and fathers in laws that might be hanging around your life to their "Princess" personalities!

Ah, can I play? Sounds fun. :thumbsup2

My hubster is definitely a hybrid of:

Belle: This Princess is the bookworm of the bunch. She is shy, intellectual and she only stands her ground when absolutely forced. She is steadfastly loyal but in a quietly effective way.

and...

Mary Poppins: Yes folks, Mary Poppins is really a Princess. Sorry it's taken you this long to figure it out! This Princess is ever the practical one, making decisions based on her brain rather than her heart. She plays by the book but has a heart of gold and she can, on occasion, be know to have a little fun... a very little fun!

The Mary Poppins bit being funny considering he's a Brit. Apple doesn't fall too far from the tree, I guess. :lmao:

My kiddo, though she's almost 4, is through-and-through Jasmine. Not sure where she gets that from... :rolleyes1
