Ah well. I've downgraded our view from Water to Garden -- but this enables us to stay 3 nights longer! :thumbsup2 My parents will be coming down for a few days at the start of our vacation to spend some time with us and the kiddo; everyone's quite excited. :goodvibes

One quick question for you BC experts: is there such a thing as GV rooms with full balconies? It's what I've put in for as a request, "full balcony"; I know that it's luck-of-the-draw with room requests, just want to make sure I'm actually requesting something that even exists. :laughing: Thanks in advance.

I'd take a GV room any day if it allowed 3 more nights :thumbsup2 We booked a GV too in Aug, and requested a full balcony. I think it will be fine. :goodvibes Esp if it gives you more Disney!

Hi all,
I figured that this board needed a little lift while we are waiting for Teena to get back into the swing of things here and answer 50 million questions about whether their room will have a balcony or if puddles in the parking lot count as a "water view".

We've all seen those surveys where you answer questions to determine which Disney Princess you are. I thought I would put a different spin on it.

I'm going to list the characteristics of each Princess and I want you to match up the MEN in your life to which Princess most closely matches their personality. This would mean matching your husband, dad, any sons, bosses and fathers in laws that might be hanging around your life to their "Princess" personalities!

I think this would be fun to do and your husband will have no idea when you tell him he is such an Aurora.

Now for the guys on the board, you'll have to come up with something along the same lines using Disney characters for the women in your life. I just did this one for us ladies.

OK, so here goes.... copy paste the appropriate Princess info in your reply with the name or description of the man in your life that that Princess closely matches...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ariel: The party starts when this Princess walks into a room! She is fun loving, outgoing and she doesn't take much GUFF! Everybody knows Ariel and she knows them!
Aurora: This Princess just goes with the flow and takes life as it comes. You'll never see her feathers ruffled as she seldom get involved in life and she pretty much must be directed from one thing to the next.
Belle: This Princess is the bookworm of the bunch. She is shy, intellectual and she only stands her ground when absolutely forced. She is steadfastly loyal but in a quietly effective way.
Cinderella: This Princess isn't afraid to use her charms to get what she wants. She's able to work with anyone, no matter how nice or nasty because she is not about to let someone get in her way. Appearances are everything to this Princess as she likes the nicest that life has to offer, but she also knows how to get down and dirty if it helps her cause.
Jasmine: A free spirit who doesn't follow the crowd, this Princess makes decisions based on who she is, rather than who she should be. Don't try to paint her in a corner or give her advice, she'll have none of it and will make up her own mind thank you very much!
Mary Poppins: Yes folks, Mary Poppins is really a Princess. Sorry it's taken you this long to figure it out! This Princess is ever the practical one, making decisions based on her brain rather than her heart. She plays by the book but has a heart of gold and she can, on occasion, be know to have a little fun... a very little fun!
Mulan: Strong willed and opinionated, others often question her decisions but they seem to work for her, even if no one else would choose that path. This princess breaks all the molds and defies stereotypes to hold true to her beliefs.
Pocahontas: This Princess is an explorer so don't keep her tied down. She is up for anything new and she gets easily bored with conventional things. Ever moving forward, she seldom likes repetition and she is the first one to change the plan.
Snow White: This Princess is organized and a hard worker. She brings everyone together to work towards a common goal. You can depend on this Princess to get the job done, on time AND under budget!
Tiana: This Princess is level headed, goal oriented and a hard worker. She keeps her eye on the prize and keeps moving forward despite any setbacks that come her way. She is independent but she values her friends. The things that makes her the most happy is being able to do things on her own without the help of others.
I'm sorry if I missed a Princess along the way. Feel free to throw her into the mix if you find her.
Ok first things first. My Husband is SUCH an: Aurora: This Princess just goes with the flow and takes life as it comes. You'll never see her feathers ruffled as she seldom get involved in life and she pretty much must be directed from one thing to the next.
Now for my 12 year old son they didn't have a Princess that was eating her parents out of House and Home so I went with: Tiana: This Princess is level headed, goal oriented and a hard worker. She keeps her eye on the prize and keeps moving forward despite any setbacks that come her way. She is independent but she values her friends. The things that makes her the most happy is being able to do things on her own without the help of others.
My Dad is totally a:Jasmine: A free spirit who doesn't follow the crowd, this Princess makes decisions based on who she is, rather than who she should be. Don't try to paint her in a corner or give her advice, she'll have none of it and will make up her own mind thank you very much!
And as for me I think you can figure out which one I am! :rolleyes1
Thanks for the report! We're staying at Portofino Bay in May before our AKL trip and I have booked Tchoup Tchoup. Any other suggestions for US/IOA? My kids are younger than yours (3 and 6).
I would go early. They open HP at 8 and we were thee around 7:40 ish. Stay in the HP part until you are completely finished. They were handing out time passes when we left to get back into HP. We went to Olivander's first when the line was short and then we went to the Forbidden Journey ride. We rode all the rides and then shopped. We also had it sent back to the room except for the food ( candy stuff they won't send). We ate lunch at Three Broomsticks early (10:45 ish) We went and did the rest of IOA that day and headed back around 2 ish to rest. The next day we went to HP again and rode the things what we wanted to do and then headed over to Universal. The FOTL passes helped a lot. We were done again around 2 ish.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions.
Also if you can skip taking a bag to HP don't take one. The bag line is not too bad early in the morning but it is a lot easier.
Hey everyone...
So I am off to read:surfweb:
To Teena, All those battling cancer, and All those with loved ones battling cancer...
My thoughts and prayers are with you. My mom has just been diagnosed with lymphoma. She had her first treatment 3 weeks ago and has another round on Monday and Tuesday of next week. My mom has always been so active, full of life, the center of attention kinda person. The lady that rides around town in a red convertible punch buggie with a bubble machine in the back seat. :rotfl2::rotfl2: Chemo has made her weak and tired. I really hate what the treatment has done to her. My prayer is that a cure will be found soon so this awful disease can be snuffed out.
I hope your mom is doing better and she'll be in that red convertible before she knows it.
I also forgot to mention that we told our girls last week and they took it very well...I am sure once I have surgery their thoughts may change but right now "Mommy doesn't look/feel sick so she is fine" I hope they continue to see/feel that way!
I git ALL of my ADR's for the times I wanted too!!!!! YAY!! I think we have 174 more days seems so long but I've got some reading to keep me busy:surfweb::rotfl:
I think my "princess" needs one LESS hobby.... I guess that makes him a bit of a Rapunzel!
Hi everyone!
We are staying at BC for the first time this July. We are on just for a short trip. 7/1-7/4. We are so excited about trying out the BC as it has been at the top of our list for awhile.
We are going 3 nights to CBR first and then 3 nights at BC.
I know this will sound crazy but we are not going to any parks this time! We are usually park warriors and barely even see the resort we are staying in! Not this time! We are going to enjoy 3 glorious nights at the Beach Club!
I would love any tips and tricks, or suggestions. We are just staying at the standard view level. So nothing too fancy, but still excited!
If you do a resort only day or a resort only whole stay, how did you plan your time?
Thanks! :hug:
I know, I know, the thought of hairy man toes in glass slippers is pretty tough to take!
If life were really like that all the "Man-cesses" would be lined up at the waxing salons asking for "the full body wax and I don't mean turtle!"
First off congratulations on the good news doccoc.
And as for the princesses... hee, hee, hee
I'd say I'm maried to Belle: This Princess is the bookworm of the bunch. She is shy, intellectual and she only stands her ground when absolutely forced. She is steadfastly loyal but in a quietly effective way.
And I'm the mother of Jasmine: A free spirit who doesn't follow the crowd, this Princess makes decisions based on who she is, rather than who she should be. Don't try to paint her in a corner or give her advice, she'll have none of it and will make up her own mind thank you very much!
Although none of the princesses are antisocial enough to capture our family.:laughing:
