Ariving with my daughter, age 15 and three of her friends on April 4th. First time at BC. We've been to the Wold many times. First time for her friends and our first time at BC. Suggestion?:cool1:

Good morning!!

Teena, hilarious story - love it. Can't wait to tell the boys when they get home from school - they will get a kick out of it.

Dee - Yay! :cheer2: Thanks for the performance details - how fun! We're leaving for Williamsburg on Friday and returning on Tuesday night. Just made some last-minute plans to visit my parents in Fort Myers Beach after Williamsburg. As I told Teena, my dad asked, "What will we do if it's not beach weather in Ft. Myers?" That's from the man who has a few days remaining on his 10-day non-expiring tickets to those of us with recently expired APs.

Amanda and Robyn, continued prayers for your parents.

Alice and 6of7, :welcome:

CRfan, I don't think you can see Illuminations from the club lounge, but we've had great Illuminations views from our non-CL balcony in the past. Not sure about the view from the lagoon view room category you booked.

I did ask others here about their favorite non-park viewing spots because we will not purchase park tickets for our pre- and post-cruise stays. I love the suggestion to stand on the bridge between BC and BWI, so that's our plan. We will be easy to spot on those nights, as our pre-teens do an "interpretive dance" to Illuminations - they are wonderfully silly and it's filled with true Disney spirit. I keep telling my husband it won't last much longer, but who knows!

proudmommyof2, post that photo!

Teena - here's an assignment for you whenever you feel like snooping around! I was just wondering how many gv cl rooms have daybeds. We loved our room so much last year that I'm hoping there are not that many gv cl rooms with daybeds to increase our chances of getting the same room!
It's a gamble I know but who knows we might get lucky again if there aren't that many rooms in that category that sleep 5!

Good question! We booked gv cl for August, and we're also a family of 5. I didn't put any requests on our reservation, but I'm just curious about the different configurations/views/balcony options.

So as some of you know, I made my theatrical debut over the weekend as the Cook in a Monty Python-style version of The Canterbury Tales.

I just want to let you know that it went very well!

I think my husband was more nervous than I was, especially after I told him that I am up on stage alone, and I am basically ad-libbing most of my part. We have been married for 25 years and I have never been up on stage.

Mark can be my harshest (and most honest) critic, and I am pleased to say that he really enjoyed the play and my performance. A couple of my friends in
front of the house were watching Mark, watching me, and they said he was in shock!

Ben did great in his roles, and he noticed and commented proudly about the laughs he received!

3 shows down, 2 to go!

:yay: Awesome! Congrats! :yay:

A standard view at the BC will most likely be a roof ... a few are parking lot but most are roof and some of them are pretty darn ugly. It is usually less than $10 more per night to upgrade to a garden view and at least you'd be looking at woods, a courtyard or garden. Be sure to add the request for a full balcony if you plan on sitting outside on a balcony. A garden view at the BC will not get you a view of Epcot most likely though. Most of the really nice Epcot views are from the YC.

Thanks Teena!

:cool1:

I'm so excited! Just got my confirmation email from the YC CL for our ADRs in September. Probably the most exciting thing for me is that we are going to be dining in the Queen Victoria Room at V&As.

Thanks for everyone's advice on where to eat. Here's what we ended up with:

San Angel Inn Dinner

Cinderella's Royal Table Breakfast

Le Cellier Steakhouse Dinner

Tutto Italia Ristorante Lunch

Jiko - The Cooking Place Dinner

Victoria & Albert's V & A's Dinner Queen Victoria Room

Yachtsman Steakhouse Dinner

Bistro de Paris Dinner

Biergarten Restaurant Lunch

Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room Dinner

The Hollywood Brown Derby Lunch

'Ohana Dinner

Now I just need to lose that 20 pounds in advance that I'll most likely gain eating at all these places!

:dance3:

What are the hours for the RAC desk in the Beach Club?

I don't have a definitive answer for you- I think we checked in bags around 7 am the past two years we were at BC. We had 8 AM ME bus pickup. I don't know what time the desk actually opens.

I think I have heard that the desk closes, PROMPTLY, at 1 PM, but hopefully someone else can confirm this information.

I had my MRI this morning...felt like I was on the Tea cups only lying face down.:lmao: Thinking about Disney:lmao:

DH birthday is tomorrow. We are planning to take the girls to the American Girl store on Thursday but depending on the weather...it's snowing right now as I type this:confused3:eek: I thought it was the first day of Spring...but I am in New England:confused3

DH's uncle past away from brain cancer Saturday so depending on when the services will be we will be heading to CT for a day or two.

The best news of all is that I get to book my ADR's on Thursday. Trying to figure out where I really want to eat.

5 more sleeps!! We arrive Sat around 4 after a grocery stop to stock up for the week!!! Can't wait to get to BCV....

Can anyone verify for me that they have marshmallows at the campfire... I heard they are not selling s'more kits anymore so I am packing my own supplies but want to make sure I don't have to pack the marshmallows.

Thanks everyone & Teena, I hope to see you on Sunday!!

Did you get results from the MRI or just get it done and wait? :guilty: Sorry about your loss. Geez, I hope at least your planning for the ADRs brightens your day!! :flower3:

So that would mean if your flight out was later than 4pm, you wouldn't be able to use RAC, correct? I heard you can only check bags with RAC within 3 hours of your flight time - which seemed odd to me sine since DME usually picks you up at that 3hr mark.

Thanks.

Unless they changed it, we were able to check in for a flight at 6 pm. They took our bags away, and we hung around the resort until DME time.

Hello all! Having a mojito and enjoying the view here at the Beach Club while the wife and kids nap!

Teena- The Lopez family would like to thank you for the awesome service that you provided yesterday! The room is fantastic, and you helped enhance our vacation experience! God bless you and we are praying for a speedy recovery!

Danny

Any suggestions where I can find chicken nuggets or something similar at the Beach Club or Yacht Club (counter service or take out)? I have a 10 year old who eats a VERY limited diet & we're considering staying at the Beach Club in November.

Thanks!

Stay strong! I also think about Disney when I am being put through those kind of tests. I don't do Yoga but I imagine the number that those radiology tables do on my back would be a lot like what it would feel like for me to do Yoga!

Hang in there! I'm thinking about you and hope you get back some good results soon!

Those scanners can be a compelte pain in the butt - quite literally. :headache:

I remember the worst one I had was a bone scan, but the plate that took the scan moved SO slow and went from my feet to my head, that about the time it was mid-chest I was convinced that the thing was going to come chop my head off! (anyone who has experienced one of these understands I'm not completely crazy...:rolleyes1 ) The nurses joked that they had a running bet at what my BP must have been during that scan. (I swear, they were actually very nice nurses!)

Few questions, Doing a sweet 16 trip for DD in 2012, I asked her what resort and she said BC, very suprising since we have never been, but we have Cape May ADR this Sept so that will help..

1)GV CL what should I request? I have never been, would really like a balcony.

2)the CL rooms all together in a special building like Poly or not?

3)Also the bus is the only way to MK right?

Their Standard Club Level View Rooms, Garden View - Club Level Rooms and Lagoon View - Club Level Rooms are all located on the 5th floor and you need to insert your KTTW card in the elevator to access that floor. The only Club Level rooms located on floors 1 - 4 is their Deluxe Rooms.

Using WDW transportation they only have a bus which goes to the Magic Kingdom.

You need to check your bags AT LEAST 3 hours in advance. Our flights are always 8pm and later and we check them with RAC by 9am most trips.

Jenneth- those are so FAB places- enjoy! :goodvibes
