Hey March BC Disers. Anyone there the 10-12th? I'll have my pin but would love to say hi. Teena, I'll see if Jennifer (cruise at Christmas) has a pic of you so I can find you and say hi. can't wait to be there.
I can't wait either!!:yay: We will be there 3/10-3/15 but I have no idea when we will be around the resort. My DD(20),DD(18), and DD(17) will be dragging me and my DH all over I'm sure. We have 4 day tix for the parks and alot to see. :)! We typically prescribe to the idea of 'who knows if and when we will be back'. Definitely rope drop fam. I do have my pin request in to Teena though, so I should get it at check-in.

Hello,

In regard to the pool. How deep is the deepest part? I do not know how to swim so I am a wee bit worried:rolleyes1 I am embarassed to admit it but I had a scare when I was younger and never learned how to swim. My DH loves to swim! My DD can't because of her disability so we usually wade around which I am completely fine with!:goodvibes DS enjoys the water too! As does older DD!:woohoo: Maybe in mid Nov. we will not be enjoying the pool, I am not sure?:

Hey weswife...There is one deep part. If you look at the first page and the overhead picture Dee has posted it is marked Deep section. There are multiple sections with steps and a zero entry section that is a gentle slope (with sand!) into the water. You can see these in the other pictures. Hope this helps.

The deep part is deep. 10ft comes to mind but very easy to avoid!

Thanks for the info.! My DH is happy with the 8 ft deep part! I will take notice for sure. DD is 17 but due to her disability (she uses a wheelchair full time) she can not swim or float BUT loves the water!!!!!:lovestruc

I hope we can use the pool. 80 sounds like a great temp. thats our summer!

40th Bday celebration..Yipee!!!

Yacht Club Sept 12 - Sept 17

Congratulations!! I had my 50th birthday celebration at YC and it was truly one of the best birthdays I've ever had!!:cheer2:

I'm sure you're going to love it.:lovestruc

Just returned from Beach Club this past weekend, I thought before this that I liked all deluxe resorts equally. . .but I think I'm hooked. LOVED everything about it. We had connecting rooms on the first floor closest to Epcot, could see some of illuminations from our patio. Its at the top of our wishlist for our next trip.

Isn't is the BEST!!! I tell myself that maybe next visit we will try Poly or Contemporary, maybe GF, but I don't know if I can pull myself away from YC/BC

Does anyone (Teena, Dee os anyone with more knowledge/experience) know how many SV CL rooms have a king bed? I have made that our number one request. We are really hoping to get one. I have back pain issues and DH uses a CPap. We were even thinking about switching resorts to get a king. I couldn't bring myself to do it. We are way too excited to be able to try the BC. This will be our very first time staying deluxe. Thanks for any info! :goodvibes

Can't give you the exact numbers but there aren't many in any category ... very few. Wouldn't two queens be better for you than a king with all those problems?

If a king is necessary, you should switch to one of the resorts where you can actually book a king bed.

Thanks for the info. I was just wondering how many king rooms so I would know if we had much of a chance. :confused3 We are not really wanting to switch resorts. Maybe they could switch us to the YC if they had a king available? We are hoping to be close to Epcot.

There is about the same number at the YC.

You could get one guaranteed if you upgraded and booked a one bedroom suite at the BC. Another way to guarantee one would be to book a one bedroom villa at either the BCV or the Boardwalk Villas. The studios don't have a king but all the one bedroom villas do and they would be much cheaper than a one bedroom suite at the BC. Just something for you to consider.

I think they want to sleep together  but need the extra room.

OP: Teena knows her stuff. If a king is that important to you, book a resort where you can specifically book a king room. Otherwise there are no guarantees. Location won't mean much if you aren't comfortable sleeping.

Sorry to barge in here but what a great thread with wonderful pictures of the YC/BC. Really makes you want to be there right now!!

It is a wonderful place ... to visit as a guest or a place to work. I honestly smile the whole time I'm working. Of course, the great guests I get to talk to all day helps make it the magical place it is.

I'm glad to hear this.. It's our first stay here and I'm sure we picked right but with so many choices you always wonder....
