And one more announcement regarding the Disney FANTASY: Jeanne and Brian and Princess Lily are going to become an official family. They are getting married on the Fantasy on the cruise which sets sail from Port Canaveral on 6/15/13. If anybody is planning a Fantasy cruise for that time, it will be great to have you on board so you can meet the family!!!!! The planning is going smoothly. Disney Weddings makes it all very easy!

:bride: Best news I've heard all day :bride: ! Lee Ann and I wish you all nothing but the best....

CONGRATS Teena!!! Such happy news!
I would seriously make an effort to be on the ship but we're going to Club Med Punta Cana the following weekend with all of my siblings to celebrate my mom's 75th birthday.

Teena, what wonderful news!! Also so great that you will be part of the welcoming committee. Sounds like a lot of fun for sure! Enjoy every minute of it.

I am also just wondering if any of the Flower Power performers or the HGTV stars stay at the Beach Club or Yacht Club during the Flower and Garden Festival? Since we will be there for the last week end of it.

And of course you all remember my Justin Bieber sighting in the lobby in Nov/Dec. and that was confirmed by Teena!!:)

Hoping dh and I get lucky again!!

Great news Teena!! Lily will be just the right age to be a beautiful flower princess for the wedding!! :bride:

I know ... we've already picked out Princess Lily's dress. We all seem more excited about her dress and head piece than Jeanne's. Jeanne won't let me schedule a time to go out looking for a dress for her until she gets rid of a few more baby pounds. It seems so far away but thank goodness we started planning now. All the inside categories are sold out and most of the cabins with windows are gone too already.

I'll bet Lily will definitely look like a Disney princess!!!
Can't wait to hear all the wedding plans - it sounds elegant!

Dee - I'm going to be a bother:guilty:, but we've changed our dates... in the next round of updates, can you move our CL YC stay to the 13th-17th of October? (We found airfare was cheaper flying down on a Saturday... go figure.:confused3) So it's gonna be YC -> GF -> BWI for us. We thought starting and ending on the Epcot side of things would make us happier... plus, this means 10 days in the World for my DH and I, woo hoo!

Now I've got to change all my ADR plans.... lol.:rotfl2:

No problem! I'll make the change in the morning.

I get to go at 4 AM on 3/6 to Port Canaveral as one of the CMs to form the welcome committee when the Fantasy comes home for the first time. I'm so excited. Even getting up at 2 AM, leaving at 2:45 AM to get to where we catch the bus as a group will be well worth it.

How fun!

Congratulations, Teena, to your whole family!!! And there's definitely something about dressing a little girl that is more fun than dressing a big girl!!! LOL

I am beside myself with excitement!!!! Single digits are right around the corner.:banana::banana:

11 days from now we will be satisfied from dinner at the Yachtsman and happily wandering the Magic Kingdom. :lovestruc

We had a great time at Yacht Club even though things did not go according to plan. Hubby and I arrived Thurs. around noon and our room was ready. Computers were down so we were given temporary keys. Had a corner room overlooking the water so there was plenty of light in the room. There was a lot of info and banners about the NBA game and activities including a time sheet in the room but nothing about the Princess half marathon. I was a little disappointed as YC was a host hotel for the Princess.
While unpacking we got a frantic call from our daughter who was supposed to fly down that day with the grandkids. Chicago was predicted to get 48 inches of snow and they cancelled her flight. The soonest they could get a new flight was Sat. afternoon which was too late for her to pick up her race packet for Sunday. We suggested renting a car and driving down - as long as she left before the snow started or else seeing if she could get a flight from a different city and rent a car and drive to there.
She ended up renting a car and driving down. Around Nashville, she got a flat and had to switch rental cars - adding several hours to the drive. In GA, she encounted high winds and severe thunderstorms, finally arriving around 10pm Friday night.
We didn't pick up the noodle family as Saturday turned out to be quite cool - too cool even for us Chicagoans to go swimming. And Sunday was still cool - but jam packed with the race (4am is sure early at Disney - especially when you never ever make rope drop) and trying to squeeze two parks in after the race.
Thursday after we made sure she was on her way and let the front desk know about her problems and new arrival date, hubby and I went over to HS for a while. Then in the evening it was over to POFQ to hear Elliot Dyson at the Scat Cat Club. Friday we went over to WWOS to visit the expo and get the "I did it" shirts she wanted for her and her friend since they wouldn't be able to go until Sat. and they wanted to make sure they got them in their sizes. We then ventured over to Epcot and then once again over POFQ in the evening for another round with Elliot. Our daughter called around 9pm letting us know that she dropped the rental over at the airport and was getting on ME, but was going straight to bed as she had been up for 38 hours.
Sat., hubby drove our daughter and her friend who was also running the Princess over to WWOS so they could pick up their packets and visit the expo. While she was at the expo, we took the grandkids over to Hollywood Studios. We did TSM and Star Tours, saw the Muppets, and then I took 3 of my granddaughters on TOT. For two of them it was their first time on the ride - it may have been their last. We got stuck at the top which really freaked out the two younger ones. They had to power down and then power back up and bring us down very slowly. My daughter finally caught up with us and we did a few more things at HS. She wanted some pasta, but we didn't have reservations anywhere and trying to find something for a group of 10 was nearly impossible. So I suggested we go to POR as they have a build your own pasta station. Once again it was over to POFQ to see Elliot and while we stayed with our grandkids, my son drove my daughter back to YC so she could get some rest before the race in the morning. We stayed for a couple of hours but left before he was finished as we also had to be up early Sunday.
4am Sunday came way too early. Our daughter left for the race early (our eldest granddaughter is Red Cross certified babysitter), we were going to take the kids on one of the later buses. Unfortunately, I didn't get one of the kids keys, and we had a hard time waking them up to open the door. Finally, they answered the door and we had 15 minutes to get them dressed and make it to the convention center for the last bus. We watched our daughter at the start of the race at Epcot, then walked back to the monorail and rode over to the TTC, took the boat over to MK and caught her there. Then back on the boat to TTC, back on the monorail to Epcot and caught her at the finish. I felt that we had walked at least half the marathon distance by the time we were done.

cruisingkat- that is quite an ordeal for your daughter!

I'm glad she was able to run and that you had a nice trip.

Hi, I've gone through the thread and sorry if I missed it!
We are doing a family trip in August to Beach Club! I was wondering if most rooms have the day beds or should my brother request a cot? He has 3 girls that will be 2, 5, & 7 and I think that the daybed would be good for them?
Thanks for any info!
