Don't remember who it was that mentioned they knew Tiquan Underwood who was with the Patriots, but I've got some bad news. They just cut him from the team so he won't be playing tomorrow. :-(

It was me - my sons played on the same high school football team as him. Too bad. When they did the article on him he seemed so excited.

Scottmel - We did the sand bucket "gift buckets" for a 13 year old dd. We've done them several years in a row through CL. If I remember right we put in an arcade card, some Disney dollars, mickey rice krispy treat, mickey chocolate bars, salt water taffy and a Disney stuffed animal. I also asked for the light up Mickey balloons to be attached to the bucket.

They actually activated someone else too. I think (and hope) it was about needing someone at that other position. And they did say that he was cut after 6:30pm so that the Giants couldn't claim him (I guess 6:30 was the deadline), which says to me that they really respect him as a player and maybe he'll be back next year. Still stinks that he misses out on the biggest game of the year, but he has to know he made an impression.

I just got off the phone with Disney. We booked 2 nights in June. 6/25 - 6/27 at the Yacht club water view. I am so excited. We are Dvc members and have the rest of the trip at BWV. We have stayed at BC before but I know practically nothing about Yacht club.

erm I have no idea what Canadian bacon loooks like! But UK bacon comes in different cuts, we prefer medallions which are a smaller piece of bacon with no fat. The next sort of cut is back bacon which is a medalion with a short piece of bacon with some fat, then middle bacon which has a longer end with more fat. Finally steaky bacon which is what seems to be served in the US and crisped to within an inch of its life

Scottmel, I'm working with Omar now. He said I could order online and have stuff shipped to them as long as they have the invoice to compare. My DD is 11, but I am doing Disney Dollars, refillable mug, BC tee (if available!), plush Cheshire Cat, arcade card, Guide to the Magic journal, vinylmations, and some sweet treats. He also said whatever park merchandise we wanted he could get. HTH

Soooo, a question:

Are the evening offerings at YC CL essentially the same as BC? Mom and Dad are addicted to bacon-wrapped scallops (gotta keep up with the bacon theme this thread seems to have developed of late). Also, any chance they're putting out that yummy clam chowder in either lounge?

I *think* so- I believe the food comes from the same kitchens. The food porn on Page 1 is all from the BC, since I have only stayed there. I am starting to get some pictures from YC lounge. If anyone wants to share pictures they have on the first page of the lounge and/or food, let me know.

I have never seen the clam chowder, or the bacon-wrapped scallops for that matter, but we don't make it to the lounge every evening when we are there. The best thing I have had is the lobster salad. Yum!

Now that we have less than 7 months to go before our return trip to the BC I was sorting through some pics from our September stay and thought I'd post a few here.

Sorry I can't remember, I'm sure it started with a 4 though! It's on the 4th floor and literally right across from the elevator that brings you down to the BC Quiet pool, meaning it was handy for getting to the lobby too.
