Is everyones DIS crawling incredibly slow this morning? I've typed replies and had it completely freeze. Might just be me

I happily added you to the list (what it your checkout date? June 25?)
Ironic isn't it! I didn't put an end date!>>>> June 24th<<<<
We are doing our usual. Works great when driving and staying club level. We will arrive on the 17th and stay off site for one night. Check in early (for us this means @ 10am.) We go up to the lounge and relax in the lobby if the room is not ready. Head over to EPCOT for QS lunch and soak up that we are here.

We go the opposite way when leaving. Pack up and either check luggage or go ahead and store in car. Go to a park. Enjoy the lounge (if we are in the area) and stay somewhere offsite (or a value if we get a deal there). So actually leave on the the 25th!

I'm looking for some recommendations for nice location/reasonably nice view standard rooms at BC. First, I know that a room request is just that, but I'd like to hear your thoughts. :)

The last and only time we've stayed at BC, I didn't have any room requests, and left it to the luck of the draw. We had room #1532, ground floor, right next door to a laundry room. At first I hated the location because it seemed like it took forever to get there (even longer when we would come in late and exhausted! ;) ) I did come to appreciate that it was right on the end next to the villas and closer to EP.

Any good locations come to mind?

This totally subjective due to family size and age . A lot of folks on here love the area you were in because it is real close to the exit door to EPCOT. If you are using EPCOT a lot this is great. Then there is the quiet pool locations. Or close to lobby/elevators. Full balcony is also a favorite request. Full balcony is especially important to folks with small children or ladies that like to get up at 5am and drink coffee and read!

Ah MickeyT, you are a wonderful husband!

I know. And so easy!

MickeyT - It's too bad you're going 6/18 instead of 7/18 when we check in!
Would have loved to had you at our BC/YC Mini DIs Meet!

I see this as a scouting opportunity. Someone has to go in early and get everything set up for the rest of the troops! ( I will be sitting in Captains Grill daily asking "Do you have the Key Lime Pie?" Refuse to leave until they bring it back!)

The big orange block next to 5648 that says ICE.

Nope, it's been doing that for days. Authorities believe that the server got a peep at that clown slide and that's why it's freezing up.

This is the greatest board!

Dee, Thanks for adding me to the "be our guest list", I am looking forward to my trip to BCV! I am sure DisneyMom70 and I can work out an amicable custody agreement! :rotfl2:

MickeyT, I thought there was a problem with my computer, the Dis has been so slow:surfweb:

MM, I agree the BW Clown is the reason the Dis is slow! It took one look at that clown and froze! :scared1:

Everyone enjoy your day! It is snowing here. Sitting by the fireplace dreaming about WDW! I feel like Clark Griswald!

I finally went and checked the BOG list to see if there was anyone else going the same time as us. Nope, looks like we'll have the place all the ourselves. LOL

My husband loves the SK reference. He's a HUGE fan.

I'm almost afraid to read other threads these days. Lots of angry people. Just reading one post where they pretty much flipped out at a CM at dining reservations because not all the restaurants were loaded in the system when they are trying to make their ADR's. Really people...it's Disney. The Happiest Place on Earth! Chill out and be happy damnit!

I agree about the angry people. Life is too short to be angry all the time and besides they waist more energy being angry. It's not the CM's fault that the computer wasn't showing all of the restaurants. Maybe we should start reverting back to the hippie era. Not so much the drugs but the chilling out and the laid back attitude.Too many people have boxer/panty bunch.:rotfl:

Are you kidding me? Several of the restaurants I wanted to book aren't loaded into the system yet. I just keep checking back every day for Cape May Buffet and Narcoossee's. Do people think the cms who do dining reservations are responsible for the availability?

Whatever happened to just being excited to go to Disney????

And yet another reminder- when you get a chance, please check out the Be Our Guest list on page 1 to make sure I have your info listed correctly. If you need me to make any changes, post here. Thx!

We will be at BCV from May 3-5. I think ours is missing the 5th. Thanks:)

We definitely are the chilled out thread. Except when it comes to phone books and clowns!!! :lmao:

Seriously, you can't be that upset about having to check back for a couple of days to make your reservations. Just be happy you're going! And can afford the DDxP (or whatever the acronym is)!

We're having fun in the snow today. Tobogganing is on the agenda. My DS9 went around shoveling people out yesterday and made $30 and a bag of candy. He's got the schtick down pat - he says he'll do it for free, and then he works so hard they feel guilty and come out and pay him! He was out for 6 hours yesterday.

I just had to giggle at the attitude and/or displeasure of having to call back. I tried for 3+ weeks to get into Le Cellier and it was a no go so we changed our plans. No biggie.

Bravo to your DS for shoveling for 6 hours.:worship: That's not easy work as we all know.

Hi wannabee- I'll also be at Beach Club, June 1 - June 4, just me and my sister, two forty-something moms! :) Cool coincidence! Beach Club has been on my wishlist for a long time, but could never quite swing it with the family. My sis and I are treating ourselves to a long-awaited sisters' getaway. I can't wait!!

That is a cool coincidence.... and I see from your signature that you were at CSR last May and so were we.

I posted this on a separate thread but it was recommended to me to post hear...Thanks

Hi, I consider myself a veteran of Disney at the MK properties but I am venturing into unchartered territory. I decided to try something new and booked my family in a club level room at the BC. I had to leave my previous trip early so this new reservation was made through a special reservationist that only stated I had a daybed and was on the 5th floor...since I have a family of 5.... 2 adults 3 kids (14, 11 and 10). Can anyone recommend a room they were happy in?? or tell me about their experience on the 5th floor..view, lounge??

Also, the 1st night we get to Disney I would like to go over to The Boardwalk..never been there. What can I expect?? is there entertainment on the Boardwalk? Can you recommend a fun place to eat there?? Any information would be welcomed! Thanks

Our family is 5 people---me, DH, DD 18, DD 16, and DS 9.

I did come to appreciate the fact that our previous room was close to the exit for EP. The first floor did not have any sort of view (but that's ok, because we didn't pay for that view). I'm a little afraid to request to be on a higher floor, because I've seen some of the views some of those rooms have---like another rooftop!

Thanks for your suggestions! :thumbsup2

I answered in your other thread about my thoughts on Club Level. I did forget to add my 2 cents on the Boardwalk. Sights and smells, music, entertainment, people watching. It's a very cool vibe when you walk around Crescent lake to the Boardwalk at night. The walk itself is also very pretty and I personally felt transported to another era - especially when you glance around and see Y&BC all lit up at night. *sigh*

Do the B&YC still do the photopass. We did the park photopass last time and the pictures were amazing. We had some samples dome outside the BC last year and would love to have more done this time round. Anyone done this? What are the prices and packages etc? TIA:)

I'm not sure if you can still do the resort photo sessions at the resorts. I think you can. Disneymomx7, did you do these one year?

I think you can call (reservations?) to arrange this in advance of your trip.

You know where you can find more than you ever wanted to know about photopass? Stitchkingdom. Brad's website is awesome! I love his Ultimate Guides, and he has one for photopass. That probably has the recent info you need.

There are sometimes random photopass photographers at the Beach Club. I encountered one in 2010.

Wow! There is always something new to learn. We spent 10 days at the Yacht Club two years ago and are planning to return this summer. I was just looking at the SAB map and spotted something interesting. Could someone tell me about the Whirling Waters and Bubbling Bay sections of SAB? I guess we never made it past the Sinking Sands. (Well, we tried the slide once, but it was not my favorite. Plus, I thought my feet bottoms would blister just walking over to it. That walkway gets hot!)

I think the Whirling Waters is the whirlpool section. I didn't know it was there until our last trip there!

I don't remember there being anything particularly remarkable about the Bubbling Bay, other than it being another section of the pool.

My husband loves the SK reference. He's a HUGE fan.

Me too, Me too!!! SK is my favorite author. Met him once at a lecture/book signing. He signed copies of The Stand and Night Shift for me.
