We stayed in a deluxe CL room 4557 last February and absolutely loved that location. Our room also had a huge balcony - really huge. I can't tell you how many times I kick myself for not taking any photos of that room - I was out on other photo missions - but entirely failed to take any pictures of our room. And we were there for an entire week, so it's not like I didn't have enough time! Oh well, guess that means I need to book deluxe CL so I can complete this photo mission!

Anyway, to get to the lounge, we did need to go to the main elevators and take the elevator up one floor. We didn't think it was inconvenient, but we ate breakfast in the lounge and evening appetizers in the lounge, so we only transported desserts back to our room at the end of the day.

Pixarmom, did you use the balcony in Feb? Trying to decide if it is worth it to request a full balcony for our trip next month with it being colder in Feb.

Our crew with the little creepy lady. (Me in purple shirt)

Mike, I love that view! Nice looking group there too. Congratulations on your race!!

We are still mired in our grief over our little dog around here. I hope you'll indulge me in looking at her sweet self when she was still in her prime. This picture was taken when she just turned 10. She was still like a puppy up until about age 13, when she was robbed of her sight and hearing and slowly withdrew from the world. I'm trying to remember her more like this. My sweet baby Emma.

She was beautiful! We lost our dog 3 years ago at the holiday time. She was 17. She lost her hearing and sight as well. It is so tough to watch them go down hill like that. We said we would never get another dog. 3 months later we adopted Sandy. She really helped us heal. Thinking of you and your family.

Pixarmom and Mickey T - Thanks for the great pictures - really makes me "homesick". I'm laughing at the picture of the laundry room because I've spent way too much time there! No matter how many clothes you pack (and I AM an overpacker) two weeks in the summer heat means lots of laundry!

MickeyT - Congrats on the marathon!!!!!!

BC CL Experts I need help!

Hi there. I just switched from YC SV to BC CL GV (b/c YC GV CL was unavailable)

SO here are my questions that I would really appreciate an answer on! :)

1. Is the lounge 24 hours?
2.There are 41 rooms at BC GV CL vs. 5 GV CL at YC. But where are these 41 rooms? Which one is best to request?
3. Do ALLLLL GV CL rooms have a balcony at BC? THis remains an issue for me!!

THANK YOU!

There are only NINE (9) garden club level rooms. Don't know where you got the 41 number from and I believe only one has a daybed. If you go to the old map of the rooms that is floating around, you can pretty much figure out which are the garden views. The rooms that face out front are standard views because of the roof. Dee actually likes those rooms because you can see the fireworks over the trees from Magic Kingdom. You see the roof if you look straight down. And the ones facing straight back are the lagoon views. The rooms down the two wings that do not face front or back and instead face the courtyards are the garden views.

Not sure about the balconies. There are eight rooms on 5th floor that do not have full balconies but I'm not sure if any of those eight are garden views.

I was thinking yesterday that the YC/BC/BCV laundry rooms are probably the most photographed on property!!!

Great questions! I'm anxious to hear the answers... especially #2. I believe all of the GV CL rooms at BC have balconies. We're booked GV CL for the first time in April.

Thanks Teena! Does anyone know where we can find this map of the rooms? :confused3

 Hi Teena-

You are right. I liked the surprises in that room. We didn't expect to be able to see fireworks.

Just wanted to say hello. I'll catch up with you later.

To everyone else- have not had a chance to do much more than glance at the thread the past couple of days, so if you are new, I'll get to posting you to the guest list later today or tomorrow.

BC CL lounge was 24 hours when we were there in November. But not much out after 10 pm (the jars of snacks and limited stuff in the fridge).

We stayed SV and had 2 queens (no daybed) and a full balcony. Our room was VERY close to the lounge. We overlooked the main entrance, with the Villas to the right. But mostly we just saw trees.

ETA: Dee, I got your PM!

Now that I am booked for August (8th to the 17th) does anyone know if it is as crowded as July with the tour groups???

This is only our 2nd summer trip and DH and my boys were kinda cranky last summer b/c it was so crowded (the heat part was ok, but they would have complained less if it wasn't so crowded in the parks).

If you have any comparisons of the 2 months I would love to hear them....and I don't care b/c I love the heat and will be there for my birthday so I may leave the boys, wear a tiara and go off by myself!!!:rotfl2:

We usually always stay in July but in 2010 when my dd broke her leg we had to switch our trip to July 31 - August 15th. We really didn't notice any difference in crowds until the day free dining started. I think it was August 14 that year, that's when it really got crazy. It was more crowded during the Free Dining days that the BTG!

The ever so helpful CM gave the 41 number based on her chart. Sigh. See how you don't know where to turn except here for factual info? Which is why I drive you to the bottle most days. I appreciate your input and will consider myself lucky then to have gotten one since rooms seem in short supply. I know the map you mean but looked on another one for a more generic view. I loved how at YC CL GV I could see the beautiful gazebo and a side look at a lagoon. Am trying to mimic that view at BC in terms of lagoon

Would "Lagoon View" be ok to ask for in room request - obviously I am staying GV but maybe a side look at it somehow?

For anyone reading this, YC has 5 GV CL rooms. 4 face the Weddig Gazebo and one sort of overlooks a walkway of YC. Wedding View way better in my opinion. So my theory is BC has to have some more COVETED Garden Views on club. THAT is the room I want whatever that may be!!! :)

Pixarmom,

Thanks for your sweet words. That does make me feel better to think that my daughters might still want to vacation with us.

Michelle

It's been a while since I've posted here (and seriously i can't WAIT to get back to BC talking lol) but I have a quick question. Does anyone know is Stormalong bay is closed for refurb right now (or will be in the future?) Anyone there now that can confirm or hopefully deny this?

TIA!!
