I'm off to the dentist but will study the pic later (I'm sure with a million more questions as to how many blades of grass away is the exit and what brand swim trunks is the guy wearing!)

MM- that is EXACTLY the kind of humor I need today as I sit cooped up in my house watching it snow :sad2: It was 55 here yesterday too :sad1: Bonus points for a Brady Bunch tie in too! :thumbsup2

I second the notion that BC hallways are NOTHING in comparison to some of the other resorts. AKL comes to mind since it seems like you are constantly switching elevators over there to get to the various floors

Do you think I should have added that people who actually find Bear Grylls shouldn't get too close because he'll probably be hungry and try to finish their Grey Goose Slushies in their resort refillable mugs?? You know how those bears can get around food. Maybe THAT'S why his mother named him "Bear"!

How have I NEVER thought about transferring my Grey Goose Slushie into a reusable mug so it stays cold longer (and doesn't slosh out of the martini-ish glass)????? Goodness, I am learning all kinds of new tricks today!

Unfortunately that gentleman is not wearing the official, resort approved, lime green (for the DIS!) Mankini that forward fashion thinking men tend to prefer. He's probably wearing some ratty old thing his wife has been trying to throw out since 1987.

I thinks it's wonderful that so many are talking and sharing life experiences on here and get to know each other so well and I promise I am not posting this in a negative fashion at all as I have been known to do exactly the same thing!!......
But, with all the pages and pages of personal discussions, it's gotten extremely hard to find information on the Yacht and Beach Club!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. :thumbsup2 I totally understand your concerns.

Our list maven Dee has done such a wonderful job compiling information and putting it on page 1, that for most query's, you would need to look no further.

IMO This resort FAQ page is a little different in the respect that you have all that wonderful information at your finger tips on page 1 AND you have people that have experience with the resort, still active on the thread and available to answer questions because of the camaraderie. Most people move on after a stay and a valuable link to real experiences evaporates. Here on this thread, the people that can answer the odd question or share a unique experience tend to return because we have formed a bond, not only with the BC/YC/BCV but also with the people here who share our passion for this wonderful resort.

All are welcome as is any question about the resort. Feel free to join us and post your questions and share what you wish with us. We LOVE EVERYBODY!

So welcome! Come in, have a look around, kick the tires, read the info and post your questions/concerns. Hopefully you will come to understand how we are different from some of the other FAQ threads and enjoy the benefits that this style has to offer.

I was gonna say exactly that! :thumbsup2

Just booked our very first Beach Club stay -- April 28-May 6!! :cool1: Looking very forward to it!

Any suggestions on room requests? Been there many times to eat and check out the resort, but I'm not too familiar with the layout of the building and the room locations. I don't think it matters which side of the building we are on -- Epcot or YC side. But we would like a room with the extra couch/daybed (that came in very handy at the BWI and the Poly), and if I'm reading correctly not all the BC rooms have the extra bed....And of course we'd also love to have a full balcony! With the spring discount I was able to book a 'garden view' rather than a 'standard view' for just $64 more. Any idea where the garden view rooms might be and what the view might be?

How many floors are in the BC and is the top floor for CL guests only?

Thanks in advance for any and all help! :goodvibes

If full balcony is that important, then YC is where you want to be. Hopefully someone else can chime in on the daybed situation, but we were a party of 2 and had 2 queens plus a daybed in our YC room. Our BC room had a full balcony (which we requested) but we did not have a day bed.

Thanks. But unfortunately the YC is all sold out of standard rooms on the discount for my dates. And I'm not too interested in paying for a waterview!

Thanks for the welcome!

I've been extremely fortunate enough to have stayed at both The Yacht and Beach Club a lot, actually have another 3 night stay on the CL at the Yacht Club in a few weeks. We used to average 40 nights a year when the kids were younger as I don't live far.

I just have friends joining us who are new and had sent them over here and they were having issues reading through all the pages. I had told them to start from the back to get the newest information and didn't even think to send them to page 1.

My favorite gv rooms at BC are "courtyard view". They overlook either the back entrance or the volleyball area.

If you have less than 5 in your room then a daybed is only a request, just like a full balcony. If you get a room without a daybed you can ask for a rollaway.

When we did our Grand Gathering my Mom stayed in the room with my three sons and she asked for a rollaway and it didn't get in the way at all.

You will LOVE BC!!!!

I love this lamp!!! I have never been lost (or found) in this part of the resort so I haven't seen it before.

PIXARMOM!! OMG you just posted a pic of the BC quiet pool over on the Resort Changers thread - could you pretty pretty please post it here so I can now match it up with the info MM just gave me, so I have a visual?? In your great pic, you're looking directly at the Deluxe CL rooms on the corner - now my question is - where the heck is the laundry room in that pic?

Thank you everyone, you're all so helpful!

In Pixar mom's picture (say THAT fast 10 times...)

There are 2 people in the upper right corner of the pool, then there's 4 lounge chairs on the left and an umbrella on the right. In between those chairs/ umbrella is a path that goes in the corner of the building, under that umbrella shaped tree.
THAT'S the path that takes you to the door and the elevator is right near there up a little ways, 10 steps?? (I think).

The laundry building is on your left out of the picture.

Hows THAT for service!

I didn't have this picture in my arsenal. Thanks for pointing it out. I have now jacked-it from the other thread. I think I can also add it to the Page 1 SAB post because I cleared more picture space when I started this new thread.

:welcome: to the new faces on the thread!

I need to go back a day or two to see who could be added to the "Be Our Guest" list on page 1- I think I was caught up as of yesterday morning.

Not mandatory of course, but if you would like to be added, let us know your checkin and check out dates and which resort.

It's a nice way to see who will be at the resort at the same time as your family.

Dee

Hey, does anyone have a pictures of the Yacht Club and Beach Club quiet pools, taken from ground level? I have pictures from above, taken from rooms, but I would like to add these to front of the thread. Just noticed this when I added on pixarmom's photo.

I couldn't add them before because I already had 25 pictures (the max) on the SAB post, but since I split up SAB from the kiddie pool/hottub/quiet pool post, I have more room now. :yay:

MM, love the lamp! I'm going to point it out to the boys next time.

OK, I do have some photos I haven't posted either because they seemed redundant, are particularly poor quality or I think I've posted them before and everyone is going to see them, groan and say "Yeah, we don't need to see that again!" Here are some that I may not have posted:

The rest of my photos are either on this thread (thanks, Dee!), the BC Marketplace thread (thanks, Dee!), the SAB photo thread from my August trip or the Epcot area counter service photo thread from a number of trips last year. One exception: I haven't posted 2-bedroom suite photos yet, but I'm happy to do that if anyone is interested.

THANK YOU pixarmom for posting more pics, Marlton Mom for helping me find my way & Natebenma for adding me to the Be Our Guest list! I am loving the location of the Deluxe CL rooms - now I understand there are 2 others above Cape May, but I'm in love with the 4 by the quiet pool. We only travel with carry-ons, so I always do a load of wash or 2 each trip, so that laundry room is very convenient in that spot.

Next question - CL lounge is on the 5th floor, which this area doesn't have - do I go down to level 1 & make my way back to the lobby area to get an elevator to floor 5? Looks like a hike, but when free snackies are calling my name, it's never too far!

I've found two I took while at the BC Quiet pool. They're both taken from ground level but may not be quite what you want as they don't show the whole pool.
