I know I'm kind of late to the party, but we're staying at BCV from Feb 3-11. Our first ever trip to Beach Club, we're so excited!

ALERT!!!!!

I just found out that the Cape May Buffet is going to be closed from 7/9-8/4.

No wonder we had so many problems booking it!
It's one of my favorite buffets but what can you do?

I still haven't been able to book Narcoossee's either. I'm wondering if that has anything to do with the planned construction at the GF.

We are currently booked at Poly, but may switch to BC or YC. Since we are going in late February, the weather may or may not be good enough to swim (we will swim as long as it is sunny and at least 70). My husband is not really keen on these resorts, so I have been doing some research that might help convince him.

I've read that a section of SAB is a snorkeling lagoon with freshwater fish. Is that info still accurate and is the feature year round?

Thank you.

I see our posts are out of order again.

Yes, you can use the pix on the first page - wish I had better ones for you!

The canal is the same canal that you drive underneath on Epcot Resorts Boulevard, but I don't know its whole path. When you walk to Epcot from Beach Club, you pass over it, I believe on your left, after the bridge to the Boardwalk. But I'm not entirely sure, but that's what I always thought.

We need an aerial!

Link to Beach Club Villas / Epcot canal view - if this works!

No - that is not accurate. :rotfl: There is a swim with the sharks snorkeling thing at Typhoon Lagoon - one of Disney's water parks.

Thanks! That aerial is really cool!

I agree with vicki- I have not heard of the snorkeling thing outside of TL. Maybe at the Seas aquarium (my DH recently told me he thought you could now book a snorkel time there).

That would be so cool, though!!!

vicki OMG I'm now obsessed with the bing aerial map you posted the link to....like I have to study every square inch of it....(ya know, in case I ever get lost while up in a helicopter or something!)

It's way cool!

LOL - Bing Maps are actually the coolest, I think. That birds-eye view view thing is amazing to me. (just call me Robo jr. well actually do not call me that - LOL).

Hello everyone. Not sure if anyone remembers me but I was on here for a while before our August trip. We had an amazing time at CR but when we visited BC, both DH and I fell in love. So after much discussion we have decided to head back in June for another Disney trip. Since the kids are so young we decided on a split stay so we are starting the trip at CR and then heading over to BC to finish off the vacation. Reading through this thread has me so excited once again! We are currently book June 16th-19th GV but DH told me to change it to CL if I wanted to. I am hoping for some kind of discount for this part of our stay. We got in the Spring deal for the CR part. Decisions, decisions. All I know if I cannot wait to stay at BC!

:welcome: back!

I'll add you to the list for 6/19-19, BC GV- let us know when you change to CL :)

I have been doing a little cleanup this morning.

Does anyone have a February activities schedule? If you are staying CL in Feb, and IPO has emailed one to you, could you send a copy to me by PM or email (beachclubdee@yahoo.com)

I believe I have updated everyone's info on the Be Our Guest List- when you have a moment, please check to make sure I have you listed correctly, and post here if you have any changes.

(pas130- I added the May-June dates and removed April. Should I remove Sept too?)

Here is a section I have added to the FAQ section- I have only stayed in the summer, so if you winter folks have any suggestions to add to this, please let me know. Thx!

I love Teena's stock answer to questions about the weather in December where she mentions people passing out at the Candelight Processional, but I don't want to misquote her, so I didn't include that.

My trip is in December (November/January/February). Will it be warm enough to swim in SAB?

That depends. Where are you from?

The weather and temperature in Florida can vary greatly in the winter months. One day you are bundled up in coat and wool hat. The next you are in shorts. You can have extreme conditions in the same week.

The pools at Disney are all heated. The problem is usually not when you are in the pool, but it is the air temperature when you get out. Make sure you have a towel close by.

There is certainly a chance that one or more days of your vacation will be warm enough for swimming. So pack your swimsuit and hope for the best!

Florida Weather: the first time I went to Florida, I was 21 years old. It was March and it was only 26 degrees when I left New England. I think it was about 70 in Florida and I was in the pool at our hotel. There was a guy there who made a comment that I must be from New England because everybody else thought it was too cold to swim. I told him that since it was only 26 at home, I thought it was perfect swimming weather in Florida.

You are too good! Yes Sept turned to April, now its May :goodvibes We are now doing May 27th-Jun 1st. I want my DD to wake up in Disney for her 6th birthday :cloud9: Then off to WS to buy some Hello Kitty stuff!!!!

Thanks for keeping up (I can't even keep up )

I just realized I never updated my actual dates! We will be there May 17-27 and I can hardly believe we are almost in single digits!! My girls are going to be sooo excited! We also decided to have a resort day so we get a chance to truly appreciate staying at Beach Club!! We've also decided to just stay at beach club, by eliminating the split stay we saved $1300!

3 weeks from today I can make my ADR's!

Not like I'm counting or excited or anything.........:)

Good morning :wave2: Ticker check :cool1: Going to Disney/Yankee Spring Training next month :banana::banana: All I need now is to get this boot off!!!

There is a jacuzzi at the Villas pool. What is referred to as the "quiet" pool is at Beach Club Resort (meaning the Villas only has one pool, so no need to designate it as quiet or not!).

Oh wow, good to know, thanks. As you can tell, I have no idea how big this resort is. I was assuming there was only SAB and 1 other pool. I have been thinking about a good jacuzzi muscle soaking each night when we get back from the parks and I know SAB sometimes closes a little early, so want to be sure I can do that at the pool by our room in the villa section.

Thanks again!
