Dee,

Thank you for the picture of the shower gel.

I can find out about the coffee. We are coffee drinkers so that will be easy. I will say I have read somewhere ( I think a coffee thread) that it is still Nescafe which is disappointing because we hate the flavor of Nescafe. I am planning on bringing our own creamer to flavor it up.

Thanks that would be great!!! :thumbsup2 My Dh likes his coffee. I don't have a problem bringing some down, but if it was good then, why pack what you don't need!

You guys are much nicer over here than another thread I was following!

THERE'S A COFFEE THREAD???!!!???

:surfweb:

ha! I was just getting ready to post about coffee in the rooms and I come on and see this. Just the happiness I need this morning (MIL came to visit for the weekend, got  and is now staying 2 extra days and it cost us $300 to change her plane tickets. :sad2: Wrong on so many levels!)

Anyhoo - as I take my caffeine in the pre-sugared, carbonated variety, I am a bit coffee knowledge deficient. Of course, DH is a coffee nerd and I used to bring filters and his coffee (ground) with us on the trip. Now, with the pod coffee maker, I'm not sure what to do. Can I buy Starbucks pods that will fit? Does Starbucks make pods? Am I turning into a pod person? (2 more days with MIL and I think I will want to!)

So after many changes....my sept trip turned into an April trip, now a May trip ;)

So right now I have May 28th-Jun 1st at BWV...but we are leaning back to BC. This trip started as a BC trip so it would be funny if we ultimately actually stay there...we do need 2 rooms, and May 28th is my DD's 6th Bday, my DHs Bday is early June as well....

here's my question for the experts here, kind of a WWYD...

I really want to stay CL, DH doesn't usually partake in the offerings so he is not interested. It's a $900 difference (with the AP discount it's a great deal either way IMO)

2 rooms GV or 2 rooms SV CL (GV CL not available-only 1 room)

I do my own ADRs etc, so CL would just be to have the lounge access really. But $900 is a lot of spending money....what do you think???

There is discussion a few pages back, CL vs. view.

I am in the CL corner. I don't really care what the view from my room is.

Now the money... How many people, how many days? Are you doing any character breakfasts?

Say you have 6 people and figure you need breakfast for everyone. That's probably a minimum around $10 per person, so $60 every day. If you are there for a week, about half of the cost of CL can be justified with breakfast. The offerings in the morning are quite good.

The snacks and evening appetizers are nice, but we didn't get there everyday. We did end most of our days with a stop in the lounge for a sweet treat. Cuz, like, you're not eating enough dessert at Disney anyway, right?

Thank you, I'll go back and search for that...the view I really am not concerned with. We are gonna be at the pool most of the time we are not in the parks!

So its 2 adults and 5 kids, only 2 TS meals, my kids are "pickers" and restless at sit downs (we can do it at home, but they are not patient when they are hungry 11,7,6,5,and 3 when we go). The morning IS when we would definitely be there, plus I like the "pampering from the CMs" with CL. We did YC in Nov. just Dh and I and they were very good to us. And I keep reading about these Oreo Bonbons :lovestruc Perhaps I just answered my own question.....Thanks again :flower3:

natebenmaThey look scrumpcilious :goodvibes
I am gonna go ahead and call while CL is still available. My gramma always taught me to eat dessert first (so you are not too full to enjoy it), and I can survive on cereal, coffee, and dessert...all good ! I'll stock the room with some healthy snacks/fruit to balance us out :rotfl:

I find CL to be great for my crew of "pickers". They can nibble to their hearts content without driving me crazy! We use the lounge a LOT. Breakfast is super easy to manage before RD. Snacks before and after the pool. Appies before we head out to Epcot. Desserts before bed (although sugar at bedtime... not my fave but it's vacation, right?) Anyway, the lounge really helped with the OMGIMSOHUNGRYIMGOINGTODIEIFIDONTEATRIGHTNOW syndrome that seems to plague my kiddos :rotfl:

You sound like me!!! The kiddos call it "Our snack room" I LOVE the walk to Epcot :goodvibes

I will have to make a point of getting back at least 1 night for dessert!

:rotfl: @ OMGIMSOHUNGRYIMGOINGTODIE

BTW will we be there the same time I am going May 28 to Jun 1st...

OMG, are you serious? My kids call it their snack room too! :rotfl2: And looks like we will just miss you :sad1: We will be there Jun 2nd to the 11th (assuming I make no more changes). Save some snacks (and some of "mommy's juice") for us :rotfl:

Coffee Pics to the rescue!!

This is a photo from our Nov 2011 BC CL trip.

Also, we have stayed YC CL and BC CL and the lounges are about the same size, but the YC one never felt quite as busy to me.

I'll be at the World during part of your trip, but alas, not at the BC- I'll be at one of the AllStars with my son's 8th grade class. Hopefully.

Thank you for this! Decisions, decisions. Part of me says try something new, while the other says go with what you know. :confused3

I've said it before, but while we would stay it either resort, YC is our first choice. I like being first on the buses, I like that the boat dock is right there, I like that the lobby is quieter since you don't have all the people waiting for Cape May. Plus, we like the room decor better at YC. The staff was fabulous at both resorts and of course you get the wonderful SAB at either. You really can't go wrong with either! :goodvibes

Can you believe the last time we stayed at BCV, we never swam at Stormalong Bay or ate at Beaches and Cream?:sad2: This trip I am scheduling some resort time to remedy that. I'm hoping the weather in November will cooperate. Has anyone ever stayed at BC during Thanksgiving? I'm thinking of making ressies at Cape May for Thanksgiving dinner. Any thoughts or opinions? Thanks.

Totally agree with all your reasons, even as the kiddos get older, like mine are. But you forgot the most important reason - WINE FOR MA AND PA AT THE END OF THE DAY!!!!!

I remember one all about coffee and creamers in the rooms. I cannot find it though! I even checked my posts. Maybe it was another thread to turned into talk about coffee.:confused3 Sorry!

There is a coffee thread somewhere on the dining board I think - about all the places in the World to get better coffee than the standard Nescafe. Lists any of the special carts that had Joffrey's coffee (I think that was the kind) and other places.
