I would love to get a garden view but standard was all that was available with this discount. Maybe I can request a private balcony? Yikes!

Hi,
First of all, thank you to anyone reading this question. In August, I will take my family to DW for the first time ever. We have decided that we would like to stay at the Beach Club after hearing all of the great reviews.
We also want to have the Club Level access.

My question is about the Deluxe room. Does the "deluxe" mean that the room has a bedroom that is "sectioned" off a bit from the pull out couch area? Also, does it have 2 queens in the master?

If not, what is the difference between the Deluxe club level room and the standard club level room?

We have 2 boys, ages 7 and 10. It is nice if we can separate ourselves from them a little at night because they go to sleep earlier than we do.
I cannot seem to find this information anywhere on the Disney site, so thank you again for any help you may be able to offer me.

The deluxe room is the same as a regular room but larger. There is no separate area ... it's just an extra large regular room. What you are sort of describing would be the one bedroom suite. However, those only sleep 3 people so that won't help you.

The room is about 530 square feet as opposed to a regular room that is about 400 square feet. However, the room is one large room ... no separate areas.

Oh, Thank you so much for clarifying that for me!

Since the Beach Club does not allow 4 persons in a 1 BR suite, are there any Disney Resorts that allow 3 persons in a 1 BR suite?
(We do not want to stay in the BC Villas as having the club level access and being near the pool and transport is important.)

Thank you again for your help.

I think you can get to the BC Marketplace, and anywhere within the Yacht & Beach Club resorts without going outside. Someone help me out here- the walkway that connects Y&B, in front of the Cape May restaurant- I know it is covered, but I can't remember if it is open air or enclosed.

We've walked from YC to BC several times during our visits, and I remember that the walkway in front of Cape May from the BC lobby/BC Marketplace is entirely inside. Then you pass by Martha's Vineyard lounge, the restrooms and end in front of the old "Ariel's" restaurant - all still inside. At that point, you need to exit the interior corridor and you're outside on the walkway behind SAB and in front of Beaches and Cream. You'll pass by the arcade, health club, salon and restrooms. I know this part is outside, and the part in front of the restrooms is covered, but I can't remember if the rest of it is covered. Then you can enter the YC and follow the interior corridor past the entrance to Yachtsman and Crews Cup to the YC lobby.

Hope that helps!

We are coming down to the Beach Club in 11 days until February 5. Any word on if the slide will open up a few days early???

I would like to know this too! Will be there Jan 28th-Feb 5th. I was so disappointed to hear the slide rehab news. :sad1:

Sorry ... I can't answer that about any other resort.

Sorry ... I just know it's still being worked on today. Haven't heard a word about it being done sooner than expected.

It's covered the whole way.

Besides square footage, how does BC and BCV compare? We are currently booked at BC (1st time) for 2 nts pre cruise, just for its close proximity to Epcot. We own a TS in Kissimmee and enjoy having our own separate BR w/whirlpool, etc. so I started looking into renting points from a DVC owner. Browsing around youtube, the BCVs appear a little older, big ol' TVs, etc.

It would end up being around the same price as a hotel room to get a 1BR renting points, unless they release a better discount for Nov than my current AAA rate.

Has anyone stayed in both? What are the pros & cons besides that BCV is a timeshare and you don't get daily maid/towel svc; we're fine with that.

I'd appreciate any feedback. :goodvibes

TIA!

Can you explain exactly what parts of Stormalong Bay are currently closed. Does this affect the experience at all?

So excited to have booked our 2nd stay at the Beach Club from March 26 to April 2. First time was last July but only for 4 nights. Thought we were a monorail resort family, but the Beach Club won us over!

Hi everyone,

First of all, I am new to the DIS and enjoying all of the great info here. My family of five (DD's 12 & 8; DS 6) will be traveling to WDW in September 2011. We have only been as a family once before (five years ago at the CR). BC has always been my dream resort but I need to justify to DH that is worth the extra $ (about $800) for the week. For those of you who have experienced both, what say you?

Thanks!:goodvibes

For us the biggest plus was being in walking distance to both Epcot and MGM. there is so much to do between YC, BC, and the Boardwalk. It is just a fantastic area. And for your kids (and you!) the pool is really unbelievable.

DH and I have been having this same exact conversation because we have been "value" or "moderate" people for all of our Disney years. Our first stay at YC in August was a total "once in a lifetime" thing for our 10th anniversary. Well we finally "got" why people pay so much more to stay at Deluxe resorts! I feel like with the YC we found our resort and we've been back once with another trip planned for the fall. I don't think you'd be disappointed!

I think I might get more exposure to repost this as a new thread. :goodvibes

We are getting ready to book our summer vacation at the YC :cool1:

Last year we ended up with a room that we loved but may not have been everyones cup of tea :goodvibes and our trying to figure out if it would be considered a STD or garden view room :confused3

It was a corner room where you could walk outside and then around the corner to the right and be at the quiet pool.

Thanks for any help :goodvibes

Well, after much consideration my family has decided to skip CSR for mardi gras, and head to BC in June :banana::banana:

We all loved the YC last time, the pool, the location, the rooms and couldn't quite wrap our heads around CSR. Sooooo, I called and had a wonderful CM do his magic.

we will however loose our Free Dining, but we will get a 30% discount on the room.

Sadly our countdown ticker went from 1 month and 16 days, to over 4 months, but it will be worth the wait.

:thumbsup2
