Anyone else joining us in February? :wizard:

chimo2u, Feb. 5-10, BC CL
eeyoreland, Feb. 11-13
pixarmom, Feb. 7-13, BC
JenLittle, Feb. 12-17, BC

I've been waiting for someone to ask this. I will be there with my mom and sister in law ~ running my 1st 1/2 marathon!

BCV Feb 24 - Mar 1

Staying in a one bedroom villa room in March and want to see if anyone has any opinions on there rooms and if any had good views of Illuminations?

Did I get an upgrade?

I just went to Disneyworld.com to check the balance owing on my upcoming Beach Club reservation (for this Sunday!) and I noticed that the room Category now says

"Deluxe - Water or Pool View"

Whereas previously it just said "Water or Pool View"

So, looks like I might have gotten some MAJOR pixie dust :cloud9:

But I'm not getting my hopes up, I will be perfectly happy with a normal water view room if that is what I get upon check in :thumbsup2

Anyone staying at Beach Club Villas March 19th thu the 27th? Did not have a problem booking our room, was curious to see if many are going then?

Unfortunately this has happened before. It usually means just a pool or a water view. Did you book a waterview room?

MINI GOLF QUESTION: To those who've experienced mini-golf, disney style..... Which course is more fun? (Fantaisa or the one by Blizzard Beach? )

I think that Summer/Winter whatever it's called is more fun (the one a Blizzard Beach), but the Fantasia is definately more convenient when staying at YC & BC. We walked to Fantasia one afternoon and did the first half, the fun normal mini golf side which is fun. Then the second side we had to change clubs and it was not as fun. It was really hard, it is much more like a real golf course but a mini version with hills, bunkers, off into the rough and was not as fun. At the Summer/Winterland one at BB, both sides are fun mini golf.

We still enjoyed Fantasia and if doing one side only, we would happily go again and play the fun side :thumbsup2

:cool1: One more day until we are at the BC!!! I am just so excited! It has been 4 years since we went all together as a family (dh has had conferences at the BW).

Thanks to all for the wonderful information on this thread - I'll be picking up my pins on check-in - hope to maybe see some of the other October vacationers there!

And of course - TEENA - we won't get to meet her until Monday.

Perhaps we'll see you. One more day until flying. Two until checking in.

We've stayed in quite a few one BRs at BCV at this point. We've enjoyed them all for different reasons. I used to post that it didn't matter which floor you were on for Illuminations. In our past experience, we could see some but not all of the higher effects whether on the 2nd or 5th floor as long as we faced that part of the Epcot. Last week we had a great 1BR on the 2nd floor but could only see really small bits of Illuminations through the thick trees. Sort of like watching colored lightning in the distance. :rotfl: I'm sure some of the trees have grown since BCV opened 8 years ago but I think the biggest difference is that the trees are thicker. So to cut all through that, I would just request highest floor possible on Epcot side or view of Illuminations (knowing that it will not be a complete view). We absolutely loved the location of this room.

Have fun!:cool1:

Most of our ADR's are around the BC area, so we'll be able to give some details there. We've got a new camera, and hope to get many photos. But really, a lot times at WDW, we spend more time doing, and less time taking photos.

Not sure if this has been addressed, read it elsewhere...did the new system enhancement this week knock out Room Requests? If so, I will call and speak to a CM...if not, I hate to be a pest!!! ha!!!! We are leaving in 23 days, so I want to get all my ducks in a row by tomorrow....I don't mind calling....just didn't want to have to if it wasn't required!! TIA!!! Can not WAIT to get to the BC!!!!!:cloud9:

I would call to double check. I didn't know about the system enhancement and I had a hell of a time booking a room. The system "lost" my info twice.

We checked into SSR in the middle of the enhancement....last Friday....and my request was honored. Loved our villa. BTW, all our dining reservations were still intact even though I couldn't view them.
