2010: What's on the Emerald Aisle?

Okay, so it was either the time of day or just my little black raincloud that follows me around.

We arrived late on May 15th (Sat) approx. 7:30pm. I went out to find a car while hubby waited for luggage and there were literaly 4 cars in the entire EA!! I was shocked that it was soooooo empty. We ended up with a Dodge Charger SXT with leather seats and all the bells and whistles but other than that there was absolutely no choice whatsoever!!!

I wish you all better luck than we had. :goodvibes

Alright I'm a little late on this, but on 4/29/10 here is what I saw on the EA:
-Fusions (including 1 or 2 hybrids I think)
-Malibus
-Corollas
-Avengers
-1 Jeep Patriot
-1 RAV4

We were all ready to put our luggage in the RAV4 when in drives......

a powder blue VW beetle so we took that.

Not a car I would want to buy but was cute for 2 weeks.

When we picked up around 5 pm on 5/16, there were 4 minivans, a couple impalas and about 10 HHRs. This was on B side.

yesterday morning.....

NO minivans
lots of HHR's

plus the usual fare

NO minivans on the executive aisle either

with the going rate for mini vans hovering around 500 -600$ a week all in you would think they might have more available ...thus, you might think they would be showing up on the aisle

of course, this was memorial day weekend and they might have had more demand for minivans this week

Thanks. What side?
This is what we found when we went on April 24th. And we checked both sides A and B (that was fun dragging our luggage to both sides and then BACK to A.)

it was on both sides A & B

we had two hours to kill before picking up vehicle at 11 am and did the A side B side trek, luckily we did not have to move luggage while I did this

we did end up getting Hyandi Santa Fe from Side A

there was not much activity on Monday on aisle, check out person said it had not been busy even in the week previous

Side A the Emerald Aisle was fully stocked with tons of Impalas and Malibus, as well as two Kia Sorrento SUV's (one of which I took and the other was taken while I was there). There was one HHR, several Sebrings, and a Camry or two. Selection was great, and loved having the large SUV for a week.:thumbsup2 Saw no minivans, and interestingly there were no SUVs in the executive section (only 2 large pickup trucks along with the usual assortment of cars).

At least I'm not alone -- glad to hear someone else did the look on both sides trek. Normally I wouldn't, but was hoping for something bigger with family arriving later in the trip. I did end up with a Ford Explorer with a third seat, so it did seat 7. Using RAC takes care of the luggage for the trip home. I got it off the Executive aisle Side A.

We usually do the the double trek too, unless we score on the first look. Never know if your missing out on something great. :confused3;)

At MCO, is there an Emerald Reserve aisle on A or B, or both? And since you reserve a specific vehicle type, do they have separate aisles for each car class, unlike with Emerald Aisle? Emerald Reserve is different than Emerald Executive and regular Emerald Aisle, right? That's a lot of lanes . . .

Confusion reigns with me:confused:!

I believe so

Yes

Emerald Reserve is different than Emerald Executive and regular Emerald Aisle, right?
Correct - if you reserve, as an example, a mini-van, you would go to the "mini-van" aisle.

I know this thread is for 'what's on the Emerald Aisle', but I am curious... If you reserve a mini-van...what type of mini-vans are usually on the mini-van row?

When you mention "A" and "B" sides, are you talking about the terminals??
Which side is American Airlines on?:confused3

Ok, excuse me, I am slow today :rotfl:

How do you rent from the Emerald Aisle? We are Emerald Club Members because of a US Bank Credit Card and I am just wondering how this works so I do it right.

Thanks for your help!
