2010 news from the Magic

You will have the trips, and a price range lowest/highest per each Cat and the 3rd/4th person price. Lowest is 1st tier pricing on first day opening.

Thanks Andrews. So, if I understand you correctly, 1st tier pricing is just available on opening day?

Book right away! If the price goes down all you have to do is call DCL and they will refund you.

Thanks gydell. I didn't know how that worked.

I tried - 3 London ports (also Dover); St Petersburg; Warnemunde (Berlin) and couldn't find anything for 2010.

No not exactly,

What happens is 1st tier pricing is available for a certain percentage of rooms to be sold, in each CAT, then it bumps up,

For Panama repo cruises it has gone up in hours, maybe mins first day, for some of the 2009 Carribean trips it took months for 1st tier to sell out.

Past Med cruises did sell quickly but not as fast as Panama repos, so you do not need to panic, it might stick for the frist day as you say.

The main problem is multiple instructions, if some cruisers instruct more than one TA, thoose cabins are 'taken' out of sale for 48 hours, that bumps up as if they have bee sold, but it doesnt bump back down if they are returned unsold to sotck.

I tried a few ports last night and they just don't go to 2010 on their calendars.

Ah, got it. Thanks so much for your patience and for sharing your expertise. :worship: It sure looks like I'm going to be up early in Disneyland with my cup of coffee, cell phone, and deck plans on the 21st. :sail:

I did those they only go forward a few months.

For a ship of Disney Magics stature, a home port of Southampton would fit, all the best cruise lines use Southampton and it could get good publicity on our national TV, If its Harwich, the cruise port is nice and being upgraded, but its a bit far out from London, and doesn't have a regular rail service as Southampton, though they do put on Cruise trains when a big ship is in, but you get about three hours in London. Harwich would only get on local TV.

Dover is more of a container or ferry port to France.

I figured I'd try anything!! Personally I'd love Southampton.

There is regular train service from London Liverpool Street Station to the port in Harwich, in addition to the extra trains they have on cruise days.

Hey your telling me about my 'local' train service,:rotfl2:

Now operated by National Express.

Its OK for us commuters, but for cruise passengers the cruise trains give you less than 3 hours in London, apart from the Tower of London you would have to get the Tube to other sightseeing places.

There are trains but not as a good service as Southampton.

Then why did you say Harwich "doesn't have a regular rail service as Southampton"?

The 'frequency' and trains are far better on that route to Southampton, its a major city and therefore gets inter-city trains, and a regular schedule, Harwich, service is split onto other lines such as Clacton, Colchester, Norwich, Great Yarmouth, they do run trains there, but as it is not a city, the frequency is far worse than Southampton trains.

The track for the Harwich>Liverpool st service is about one mile away from me!
