2010 Mom's Panel Results along with lists of Round 2 & 3 Participants

I'm really loving waiting with all of you & reading your fun stories! It's helping me keep my sanity through the stress of having lost my job very recently.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all of you ~ it would be so fun to have a DIS members Mom's Panel for 2010!!

I am so sorry to hear about your job loss. My DH has been out of real work going on almost two years now. He has been forced to take multiple min wage jobs. It is not fun! You can join us in looking for the light at the end of the tunnel. It has to be there some where!

My only news this week is that we have finally decided, after quite a few years of back & forth decisions, that we are going add a puppy to our family. S/he will be either a black or chocolate lab (depending what mom delivers!) and will be home at the end of December. My girls are thrilled!!

We have had Golden Retrievers in our home for years. Nothing like a new puppy to lighten every one's mood!

OHH!! That is so exciting!! We have 2 Golden Retrievers.. breed them too.
Labs and Goldens make such wonderful family pets. Congratulations on the new addition

I think Goldens are the best breed of dog. We have had 3 in previous years and we how have two pups that are 10 and 11 months old. One was a gift from our kids last Christmas when our beloved Maisey passed and the other is a pup we rescued from a home where they just could no longer handle a big dog.

Well, I definitely have something to keep my mind off waiting for the next 24 hours....swine flu has hit our house!

My son's fever spiked to 103 yesterday and hasn't broken since even with Motrin! He is just hovering around 100. He also had the horrible deep and icky cough, so we went in this morning and he was confirmed to have it! So, he started on Tamiflu today and my doc even wrote a Rx for my daughter to fill if she starts to show symptoms and get a fever! I had a feeling it would hit us eventually. So, please keep us in your thoughts!

Well, happy waiting....only one more day!!!!!

I really hope your son is feeling better soon! This flu thing is hitting a lot of people but everyone I know has recovered without bad complications! I hope the rest of you stay healthy!

BIG HUGE NEWS...

Just picked up the radiologist report and, even though I'm not a doctor, I CAN read, and it says "No identifiable masses present" and "recommend follow up in 6 months"!!! Praise the Lord!

I most certainly am going to keep the surgeons appointment on the 10th, but I think it's safe to say I don't need to worry about anything.

So is anyone going to give me any other answers to my difficult question of the day?

I have an early morning appointment but I should be on the computer by noon! I hope by then that there is a large group of you posting that you received great news about progressing in the panel selection process!!!!!

Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be recreating it any time soon. Had to finance the removal. There is no way we can finance remodeling. I'm stuck in my Refugee Camp for quite some time I'm afraid. Life sure is an adventure.

LOL Traci I had a dream about this too...I dreamt this morning that they told me IN PERSON that I'd made it to round 3...It was in some weird old classroom and there were tons of people around. We were talking about how they sold pumpkins outside but would not be selling them in the merchandise shop. I should've known it was a dream because I was chewing gum really rudely - it was like hanging out of my mouth!?! All I wanted to do in the dream was run over here to post and tell everyone that they weren't going to email, they were telling people in person. LOL I woke up and was like 'oh, yay, I made it!' then it sunk in and I remembered it was just a dream.

And just to be sure for anyone skimming - that did NOT happen - it was a DREAM!!!!
