Got my already booked changed to add FD! 9/27-103 at POP, preferred room, upgraded from QS as well. 2 adults 2 kids (ages 2 & 4) for $1700!!!

I tried to downgrade to a regular room vs a preferred room and they said there was no availibility

They said the wait time would be more than 30 minutes, but it was only 20 minutes. Then, once on the phone with the CM, it was less than 10 minutes to change my reservations. I have 2 rooms at POP.
I didn't have to make an additional payment, but I had already used my Visa card for the previous payments.
The CM was so nice and I didn't feel the least bit rushed. He told me that I saved more than $900! There are just 4 of us (2 in each room).

He did tell me that he sent me an email with the updated info but I haven't received that yet.

I agree....I've always gotten POP and many many times have waited to book with the general public. Last year I didn't book with my visa until 2 or 3 days in to the promotion.

I will be booking bounceback this year though....if it's offered. This waiting has killed me LOL

IF the free dining is offered for the GP on May 3rd as rumored where would be the best place to check that morning. Will someone post a new thread titled free dining offered for GP? Should I check the WDW website? I just want to make sure I am checking the right place bright and early!!!

Also, we are going 10/2-10/9, so as long as one of our days is 10/2 we would get the whole week? I thought I read that someone did in a previous post?

Best Bet....like today. Just call. Don't wait around for a posting on a website. I called at 7:00, there was nothing on any website, I had NO hold time and the CM said I was the first caller of the day.

Do MNSSHP tickets typically sell-out?

We're undecided whether to go or not yet. Sept 14th and 18th are the only good dates for us.

And since the 14th is our arrival date, and we have to be up at 4:30/5am to catch a 7am flight - not so sure we want to go that date..

Last year I think the only date that sold out was Halloween night. I went that night and never again. If the party does get sold out be perpared for it to be super busy. We also went oct 27t and it was way better not crowded at all.

Called the 1st time.. and waited over 30 minutes to be told there is no Free Dinning promotion. We already have the Kids eat and play for free. We are staying at a Value this time. I also had to confirm my dates for MNSSHP, as they did change those from the time I origionally booked. So I called back a second time, and they said if you are a DV holder, you can get the free dining. But be careful, because they make it seem like you are getting a fab deal, but you are only getting the CS if you are at a value resort. So for us to switch it was going to cost us more money. In the end I am happy with what we have, now to fine tune my reservations, and we will be all set! Disney here we come!!
On another note, we have never done the Halloween Party on a Saturday.. will it be crazy busy? Or should we just wait until the party rolls around on a tues? Any thoughts!!

Yah!!! Got it! I can't believe that I almost forgot to check this morning. I almost spewed coffee when I realized that it was 8:15am and I hadn't checked yet. But thankfully, all is well. I had gone ahead and booked with a 30% pin when fd wasn't released last month. Modified it this morning and saved $400!! Sept 19-25 at POFQ. I'm considering calling and adding an extra night. Hmmmm. new decisions.

I just got it with a regular room a few min. ago. That is what I had booked already.

The cm told me he had to take another $200 Deposit. Does that sound right? I have added codes before and I didnt have to do that.

You can upgrade both of the rooms tickets. I just wanted to make sure I knew what you booked. We only have a one day base ticket with our bounceback FD. I went and added a night to our reservation and asked about the ticket situation. We have tons of tickets left over we want to use water park ect. But with being there for 10 days for the extra 500.00 we were thinking of just adding a 10 MYW base ticket so I aksed and she told me I just had to call to add it.

Glad your cm was so helpful. Did you stick with the QSDP?

We did stick with the QSDP for now....last year I ran numbers when QSDP was free in December and while it was quite a bit more to pay OOP for our table service meals, it was actually just a tad cheaper so we stuck with the QSDP over upgrading. This year I have to run the numbers of paying OOP for the table service meals we've got ADRs for and then run if we were to buy our extra counter service meals, and mugs...etc. I always factor in how many counter service we'd actually eat if we weren't on the QSDP/Free too....as I doubt we'd eat 2 a day and a table service. Still, lots of numbers rolling around in those comparisons LOL

If I decide to upgrade to regular dining, I can do that on the kids stay, play and dine for free room too...right? I thought I saw someone saying they did that.

I saw on this board at 7:15 that IT was out. So I called, I didn't have to time wait 30 minutes so I hung up. Hubby lent me his bluetooth (I'm not a cell phone talker) to take with me on the ride to school so I can wait. Well, that worked out well till I got about 3 minutes from school. I went to adjust the bluetooth and duh I turned it off. Not knowing how to turn the thing on I just gave up. I came home around 8:05 and got right back on the phone. My wait was less than 25 minutes.


My orginial price for 2A and 1C (9yo) staying at Caribbean Beach Resort in the Pirate room (Standard view) with 8 day park hopper (no water) AND paying for Dining Plan from Sept 28th to Oct 8th was $4,052.99.

The other day I added the Kids play and Eat free to my ressie but upgraded the quick service dining to regular dining plan and that brought my total to $3,734.72.

When a CM picked up, I played DUMB (yes, I said played LOL) I told the CM that I would like to add the Disney Visa Card members FREE dining offer that just came out to my ressie. I said I already had the Kids play and eat free on the ressie but if the Free dining was cheaper (which I knew it would be) I rather have that one.

My new grand total is $3,093.29. I saved $959.70 with Free dining. Had I stayed with the kids play/eat free I would only have saved $318.27. I guess with just the one kid it's not such a hot deal for me.

Thanks to everyone who patiently sat at their computers or on the phone this morning for the deal to come out.

My next plan of action is to buy MNSSHP tickets for the 3 of us for 2 days (30th and the 3rd). I think I will give the phones a bit of time to settle down LOL

Nope....I hate when CMs say that. We've had CMs tell us before that we had to give them a 200.00 per room down payment when it was just 1 reservation number and 2 rooms and you don't. Now this year we did because we have separate ressie numbers (long story...added MIL and then dropped her off but it turned us in to a GG).

But the CM this morning just asked if I had a Disney Visa and verified the last 4 digits...no new charge. Which is good since they dropped my limit to my balance a few months ago LOL

I just got our tickets for the 21st

Now I have to cancel some ADR's to fit our new schedule. I had planned our trip around MNSSHP on the 24th. So when that date was taken off the plan, I had to get some new ADR's to fit our new park days. I kept all my old ones "just in case" though so now I can cancel them!
