I just checked my email confirmation and it DID list it as the regular dining plan...with a table service meal included for all five of us! So I don't know if she upgraded me or what...but that seems like an awful good deal! I don't think I'll need to wait for FD anymore!:thumbsup2

Oh..and the details are 2 adults, 3 7-year-olds for 6 nights, 6 day base ticket...regular dining plan...at ASMU suites.

Were your original tickets base tickets or did you have hoppers, water parks etc.?

Base tickets (no hopper or water park)...basically here are the numbers...for 6 nights 6 day base ticket with Regular DDP at ASMU suites it WAS $3160.90 and after I applied the Visa code it went to $2345.45!! I already paid the $200 deposit so my new balance is $2145.45.

Sadly, I think I realized why I've been feeling a little queezy lately. . .:confused3 F/D where are you? I'm beginning to pannic! (I know I can trust you guys with this information without being judged!!!) Thanks for being here. I know. . .we have a week or less to wait (fingers crossed!) I just really REALLY want to go on this trip! It is the first girls trip DH hasn't been upset about me planning! :rotfl:

Thanks for the support group. . .I'll probably need therapy soon to regroup from this F/D wait! AHH

With 2 kids it is not a better deal especially if you are upgrading to DDP. I have run the numbers and FD will save us another $700. Yes, it is a great savings but I actually am saving more with my %off code. If FD comes out I will save even more. For my DM's room this promo doesn't help at all. I just can't see Disney leaving out people without kids considering that most kids will be in school and what kind of CRAZY parents take their kids out of school...:rotfl::rolleyes1OK, GUILTY:lmao:, we DO but come on Disney not a lot of people do. I think we will see another deal coming soon...

What are your numbers? I was surprised that FD comes out better than kids getting to eat & play for free but when I ran it several ways, it came out better. I can get that you get bigger savings with the % off (if you're doing a deluxe resort) but for someone looking for the cheapest vacay possible, that wouldn't help. Just wondering how your numbers work out? I've looked at this for a friend & every way that I ran them for FD vs the "kids" deal, she came out better with the current Visa offer. But my main point is just that ALL deals vary their greatness depending on how "you" like to do Disney. Sometimes ppl just get STUCK on FD. That said, when I did the math for our trip, I thought the 40% would be the better savings but it actually is FD LOL. Our fave trip & "deal" ever was last February (09) tho. The 4/3 AND a gift card. I WOULD take that over FD anyday ;)

Looks like they automatically upgraded you. If you run the numbers on the WDW site it spits out $2309, but if you upgrade all three of your kids to the regular dining plan (3 kids x $2 each x 6 nights = $36). So that comes out to $2345.

Again though folks, don't worry! I TRULY think that FD is coming out at the end of this week based off of my CM call this morning. And this was not a CM trying to create some magic cause she kinda busted my bubble :lmao:

I'm sure we'd all love to hear from our moderator. I wonder if he's had enough and ran away??? :confused3

I too have been wondering where Knox has disappeared to. I remember him having something in his signature about going to he World soon. Was it maybe this week? I need to go check some old posts...

I must say, this Free Dining thread is MUCH more civil than the other one I've subscribed too. I cannot believe all of the name calling and such going on over there. I don't dare post anything because I don't want my words getting all twisted around and misunderstood. Thanks for being a great group of DISers! Let's hope us Disney Visa cardholders hear something on Thursday! :goodvibes

Yeah... on another thread (maybe same one IDK) I only skimmed thru the conversations so not sure what was going on but the mod threatened to close the thread if things kept up... I scrolled up and some people were talking about others being jerky... someone piped in about liking beef jerky...

I have also seen posts where someone is just speculating according to the rumor and someone else pipes up and jumps down their throat...."DO YOU KNOW SOMETHING WE DON'T KNOW, FREE DINING HASN'T BEEN RELEASED"
Makes me want to not post there either!!!!

Come ON Disney everyone is LOSING THEIR MINDS WAITING!!!!!!!

Yup...that's the thread that I was reading too. I'm sure everyone is just waiting (somewhat impatiently) for FD to be released, but name calling is downright childish. I think sometimes people say whatever they want because they're behind the safety of their computers. This is supposed to be a friendly message board! :goodvibes

We got this offer for 7 nights, 8 days. It is 1794.20 and that includes the REGULAR Dining plan.

Just got off the phone with Disney. We have ressies for Nov and the CM asked if my dates were flexible and pretty much said without actually confirming, that sometime in the next two weeks, Disney is going to offer free dining through Oct 2. I need them to extend it through mid Nov!! :sad1:

The only transportation you'd have to schedule for a Universal-only vacation would be getting to UO from the airport and vice versa and if you were planning on leaving property for whatever reason.

Once on property, everything is within walking distance, and there are boats that go from each hotel to the parks regularly if you would prefer not to walk (I believe there's a bus too, but I have never taken it so know nothing about it).

That is why I questioned it. When you go to Universal and stay onsite, there is no need for transportation. You can walk into the parks or take the boat. I dont think there is a bus any more.

The thing is - All the rumors and speculation are just that. But then people get to counting on it. Another pp said that they were waiting for the moderator to come straighten out the rumors(?). But anything will still be speculation. I enjoy reading about it and everyone's plans and everything. However it does aggravate me when I see so many people acting like it is the answer, then getting disappointed by it not being right.

I haven't read the whole thread..... so I don't really know what's going on.... as far as DATES.

We're planning on going October 17-24. I read a previous post that said (through the grapevine) that FD will be through October 2.

My question is.... when will a discount code come out for my dates?! I'm with everyone else... the suspense is KILLING me!!!!
