2010 Fall Dining for DVISA Is Out (See FIRST page)'

Thank you for being so nice...I did not mean to offend anyone. I just read a lot of mean things on the the other free dining thread today (before it was deleted) and was a little afraid of posting. Anyway, I also hope that the CM was accurate, but she sounded very confident

Don't worry about the people on this thread! Everyone here is super nice! I was reading on that "other" thread you mentioned, and yes, they were being very catty! This thread is just a bunch of people sharing in the anticipation of Free Dining's release! I don't think you offended anyone!

It is kind of funny how we have all formed a little family here-albeit dysfunctional, but a family. I will miss you all when FD is announced!

How did you get that, and how many of you are going????? WOW!!!!

2 adults 2 kids for each grouping for a total of 8. We called and priced it out. I looked the ressie over and it is table service dining and everything. I am not sure how we got this but we will take it. The friends we are going with have had a very hard year and they NEED this vacation. It is the Disney Visa discount. We have Base tickets, no park hopping.

I thought this was interesting...I wonder if Disney holding off on the fall promo is hurting them. I just went to check the Universal site to see if by some small chance our hotel rate had gone down. Well low and behold...a standard room at the Hard Rock Hotel for our dates is now SOLD OUT! I am really surprised by that. Glad we have our reservations...at the HRH, but if FD comes out...we will be canceling our ressies at HRH to move to Disney.

I just received the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo Pin today which offers the Kids 3-9 Play & Eat Free (does not mention QSDP like Disney Visa one) but only for trips between May 2-June3 - book by May 8. And the other offer was just the regular Summer room only discount. So perhaps at the end of next week the FD offer will come out.

I just got this same pin, it is the first Pin I have gotten and it came today on every Disney email I set up (all 5)

Too bad we can't go until the fall. I would love to use it now. I can't help wondering if this is one last push for summer bookings before they start the fall discounts.

I had the BB offer in my hands last August and let DH talk me out of it. Then about 3 months ago he starts talking about taking another trip. And I've been worrying about discounts since then.

So I went ahead and added the free kids to my ressie. This is an ok discount for us since we have 3 kids in the right age range (9,8,6). Here's the breakdown:

8/21 - 8/31
POR
9 day tickets with WPM

Originally with dining - $4364.95
Kids free Dvisa - $3400.35
Free Dining (if, or rather when) - $3165.45

So free dining is the best option.

I also just booked the DVisa promo today. With my family of 4 (DD 6 and DD 4) and an upgrade to DDP and park hopper, it ended up only being about $80 more than the FD (with upgrade to DDP) at Pop. I'll still switch to FD *when* it comes out, and maybe pay another ~$200ish to upgrade to POFQ, but for now I'm very happy with the promo I got and I'm not sweating FD so much. I still hope it comes out, though, because I know the DVisa promo isn't a good one for many of you. Keeping my fingers crossed! (and my pom poms high)!

Never apologize when you bring good news(at least a glimmer of hope)...I hope she is right too!

I think the difference for me is that in August POP is $82-$92/night. The US hotels are the same prices as they are in Oct when Disney raises the hotel rates- so it is $50/night less. I also like to do dining so we don't have to think about what we are eating, the dining passes at US actually charge for my one year old. The overall pass is less, but that just irritates me. I dwell on stupid things like that.
I'm glad you can get a good rate though, you said you've been a few times so that is cool that your family can happily alternate between the destinations. I think if we went we would spend the whole time wishing we were at Disney. Obsessed doesn't even start to describe my family.

OMG! I can't imagine paying for a 1yr old.
OT...we went to visit family at a local campground when DD6 was 6weeks old and they charged me for her...It was $5/adult and $3/child...When I went to the office I asked Why? the lady informed me that I would be using the ameneties for the baby...WHAT??? She said the water to feed her...I said I breastfeed...She said the trash for the diapers...I said I will take them with me(Now I do Cloth Diapers) She still made me pay...I haven't been back since and my family hasn't camped there either.

I also added the DVisa promo to my ressie and upgraded to DDP. I will save about another $200 "when" FD comes out, so I will switch to that "when" it comes out. I did have a hard time booking with this promo - they said because I'm staying 6 nights, I had to have 6 park tickets. Well, that last day is a travel day and I didn't want the extra ticket and the ad CLEARLY said 5 day MYW ticket. They did some crunching and were finally able to get it done. What a hassle!

I told the CM that I still wanted FD and will still hold out hope. He said, "last year, Free Dining came out the first week of May, so just keep checking". I said, no it didn't, it came out the first week of April and has for the past couple of years. He said "no it came out the first week of May, so just keep checking". Was he trying to tell me something? Does he know something or is it all still rumors that he could also be hearing from us?

UGH! C'mon Disney - you are killing us!

Welcome to this thread. I have a sub to the other thread you mentioned. I was away this afternoon so missed whatever happened but glad you found this thread! Welcome to the mix!!

OT, I am also hoping the park hours actually stop switching and they finally release the MNSSHP dates and put the tickets on sale! I feel like I am at the start of planning all over again!
