2010 Fall Dining for DVISA Is Out (See FIRST page)'

FD started in August last year and ran through October - then they changed to promo to run through December. (I went the first week of September and got the FD)

I'm so confused! I don't know what to do. If I take this offer, I have to put another $200 on my DVisa and then if FD comes out, I would have to put another $200 on my DVisa - and my balance is under $500. Take away the cost of FD and I can't make that 2nd $200 payment.....UGH. WHAT TO DO...........

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :headache: :headache: :headache:

THe 200 deposits would be on the 6 months no interest, so you only have to make min. pmts. Then you could cancel the one you don't want. What does your balance of 500 have to do with a deposit? I'm confused about that.

You need to clear out your cookies on your computer. You are seeing the old page.
THANK YOU! It worked. I didn't know not deleting cookies on my computer kept pages from updating! THANK YOU!!!

Now...what to do about this offer...take this or wait and pray for FD....AHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Because my vacation is paid except for the cost of the dining plan (which would get deducted from my balance) and $200 to make take the DVisa deal if/when it comes out. If I make a $200 payment now, and then if FD comes out and they deduct that from my balance, my vaca will be paid in full and I won't be able to put another $200 on my DVisa towards my vaca to get the promo.

Just wondering..with bouncebacks..are the offers they give you in your room as a bounceback the same thing you have booked at that time?

Just wondering becuase my friend just emailed me and her bounceback offer was pretty thumbs down. Not what she was hoping for. HOWEVER..she booked a few weeks ago and got 30% off with no FD or anything.

So I was just wondering if the bouncebacks are usually only offering what you currently have booked.

I had a similar situation with a friends vacation. It was booked with a DVisa and when I called to switch over to the Kids deal they just asked if I used a DVisa to book. I said I had and it was good. We only paid the initial $200 deposit and they didn't have to put more $$ down. As long as you used your DVisa once, then you should be okay. At least that has always worked for me!

They can be different. I went last December with free dining. But my bounce back was for % off the room. No free dining offer.

Just goes to show the cms do not know much. :lmao:

Do you possibly mean your available credit?
No, we pay off our credit cards each month, so my available balance is fine. My Dis vaca was a little over $1500 for the week. I have already paid about $900 of that. So the balance is about $600 ($400 +/- deducted for the cost of dining if FD is announced and $200 to use the DVisa to change the promo). Then my vaca is paid in full. So I cannot do 2 promos, I have to either take this one, or hope for FD.

I actually called and priced it with a CM - if I take this deal, we'll save $401 and there are rooms available at POP. If I wait for FD, we will save $443 and chance not getting a room at POP. I think I'm going to have to take this deal. She said if FD does come out and I will save more money, they do not have to cancel, they can just modify my ressie. Then she said - so, let's take this, I can add it to your card now. I felt like saying - "let's just take this - are you coming on this vaca with me?". So I said - I'll call you back. I hate feeling pressured!

ahah! that makes sense, since I haven't put any of this on my DVisa, since I just got it! So, if I take this deal and give them the $200 I don't need to make another $200 on the DVisa if I change? Thanks!

Thats the way it worked for me. We paid $200 deposit down and they just switched over the reservation...no more $$ needed!

The CM was indicating NOT now (aug/Sept) but look for it starting in October " like last year"
But I'm asking if the CM was referring to FD. If so, then starting in October "like last year" is wrong...because FD started in August, NOT October. Basically, CMs tend to have as much info as we do (hence the wrong start date yours gave you about last year)...so until something is confirmed as a definite, take what they say with a grain of salt. They're not known to give the most accurate information.

I just read all your post and I'm a little confused. If you already have a package they just can modify it for you and add the kids deal. Can't they?

I don't understand why you would have to make another deposit? If you already used your DV to pay the first one. IT's not like you have to pay the balance off today or anything.

Ok I read another one of your post must have been while I was typing this out. So you never paid your first pacakge with your DV. Since you just got your DV. Just cancel the frist one and they will refund in original form of payment. Book the new deal with your DV.

I called today to make changes to my current reservation with a pin that I recieved (Yay!) and the CM that I spoke to said at least three times, "There is still time for other offers to come out and they could possibly save you more money." FD would save us more money than are current pin so I don't think everyone should give up hope just yet!

So I was reading another FD thread and learned that the Disney Visa Kids eat/play free had been extended to include our dates. So instead of waiting for FD to come out, I called and went ahead and told them to apply that code.

Well...my total (after my $200 deposit) went from $2960.90 to $2145.45! That's an $815 savings!! Isn't that MORE savings than if/when Free Dining comes out? What am I missing here?:confused3

We are going in October for 7n/8d and have been hoping for FD for the 4 of us (2 adult/2 teen) with the plan to stay at BC. Instead of booking a std room/pkg through WDW we are renting DVC points.

BC for this time period is $390/nt.
BC DVC studio is 105pts @ $13/pt, which equates to $195/nt.

The savings of $195/nt more than covers the $168/nt for the standard DP.

Similar savings worked at BW and AKL.

I know this isnt for everyone, but wanted to put it out there.

That is a great savings, it pays to have triplets when going to Disney if the kids are free :thumbsup2

:guilty:

I think that for the average family of 4, if you have at least 2 kids that fall within that age frame-you will come out better with that deal. A LOT of people keep overlooking that! FD is NOT always the best deal. If both my kids were in that age group, I'd be all over it! I don't care how the savings come about-a deal is a deal & FD isn't always the best one. Personally I was hoping to use my Moms 20/30/40 pin but they won't let me unless she comes :guilty: & that would be a better deal for us with where we want to stay.

THAT SAID-for those interested in FD, I think it will be rolled out later this week (at least something will) based off my dh's convo this morning with a CM. I have a supposed pin code that sounds like a promo code to me & been told to call back with that Thursday or Friday this week.
