Can someone double check my pricing LOL.

2A & 2C
Standard Room at Pop
August 15-20
Quick Dining Plan
using the KIDS EAT and PLAY Free.
Only getting 5 day park tickets.

I am getting 1271.14 Total With no Insurance...

Is this correct?

Cause I am getting over 1300 for the same package with the FREE DINING Promo...

I got the $1271 for you too when I ran the numbers. We were going to go for just 5 days and it would have been cheaper, but decided to do a whole week and upgrade to DDP. Have fun!!!

With the extention of the kids play and eat for free- Looks like disney is driving alot of people straight to universal to harry potter. IS THIS THE PLAN???????????????

You may be right. IMO...if Disney doesn't offer FD to all resort guests...I have already posted that US/IOA is running Stay More Save More through the fall. You can stay at the Hard Rock Hotel with front of the line access for $131 a night. Pop Century is $120-$130 a night during that same time frame.

Not really ! They are trying to get the kids who would be going to see HP at Disney with this offer. The offer is amied at young kids who like HP! IMO we will see a repeat of last year with FD from Oct 3ed thru mid December ...

I dont know... my 4 and 5yo could care less about HP.. now my 10yo yes.

resort question.....we done Pop and Music, and PoFQ and Riverside and have booked Pop again but if I upgrade how is CB compared to PO......I realize they are both moderate but have read numerous times that PO was better????????? I see some of you have tried both.

Melanie, I loved your videos. Your kids are so sweet. Got me all choked up. Thanks for sharing! :)

Aww thanks. That was the longest 5 months of my life! We booked April 6 and didn't tell them until we were in route to Disney Sept 25. We wanted to wait until we hit the Florida line...but we just couldn't do it. :lmao:

I agree with Harry Potter being geared to tweens and even some teens. Heck, my nephews are still into it and they are 17 and 20. ;)

Melanie, We are surprising my DD this year. I loved watching your reveal video. I am still trying to figure out how to reveal it, but I know I want to wait until 1 week prior. She is 13 and will want to pack her own stuff or I would do it on the way to the airport.

we did that too....the year following 9/11.....the kids thought we were going to church and we drove right passed...when they questioned us I handed them a card to read, it was Mickey Mouse with some US money inside.......I was waiting for "Mom your the best!" and my 11 year old said..."what about the terrorist?"....not what I was expecting..then they did get very excited, we still chuckle about it
but I really did miss all the excitement leading up to the trip (that really is alot of fun)!

Let's hope for free dining. I just made out airline ressies! We have a pin, so we're saving a little money no mater what, but it would me nice to save more money. The Kids stay free offer doesn't do much for us since we only have one child that is a "Disney Kid". FD is a better deal for us.

When Knox gave us the rumor there was no talk of when the Disney Visa FD would come out. Everyone just assumed it would be the 29th but it was never actually mentioned to start. Only the May 3rd date was discussed...

the most likely reason for the lack of DVisa talk was because the District Sales Managers for Disney Travel (who are most likely the level the "leaks" come from, via an agent) typically do not get word of visa offers 'cause that's not their department's decision... a diff't dep't decides the release stuff...

I think people are getting a little bit ahead of themselves....:goodvibes

I tend to think that Knox wouldn't have posted the "rumor" without having some pretty solid sources behind it. Nothing Disney has done over the last couple of weeks make the Fall FD offer any less likely, IMHO.:thumbsup2

I'm still betting that 9 days from now, there will be plenty of happy people on these boards!

i agree COMPLETELY!!!!

we are not CBR fans... we loved both POFQ and POR, w/FQ winning by a nose... we like the compact size of FQ and the food courts at PO beat CBRs hands-down! we also found the transportation to be much better at PO resorts than CBR...

I agree. Kids under the age of 9 aren't Harry Potter kids IMO. I think it is more geared towards the age 10 and up.

Our kids are 15 and 17 and both are Harry Potter fans, especially the older one who has read the books at least 100 times. Still, where will we be going this summer...... Disney. Harry Potter is a book, maybe even a movie. We have no desire to experience it as a theme park.

anyone know if with the disney visa offer is it only 2 children free with 2 adults? we are 2 adults and 3 children staying at POR late aug. for 7 nights with 6 day base tickets. I would upgrade to DDP. Trying to figure out what my cost would be with the visa offer. currently I'm at $2800 for the 5 of us inc the dining plan with my pin code. would I have to pay for the 3rd child? what about the extra day of park tickets? do I pay to upgrade them at the park or are all the days free?

thanks.

What the heck have I missed???:confused3

We were discussing possibility of FD and now a possible extension for the current promo.:scared1::scared1: Oh no!!! That isn't going to help me much. Ok..........I am still keeping my fingers crossed!!!:wizard:

Absolutely! Remember the kids that started reading the Potter books when they were 8 or 9 are now teens. Even the high school and college age kids in my neighborhood are huge fans and are dying to get to WWoHP.

I would leave stuff laying around the house that is related to Disney. Just keep putting more and more out. Then maybe for dinner one night you could give her a cookie that looks like Mickey, or put a picture of Mickey under her plate. Thanks for the compliment. They were so shocked...that is all they talked about the entire 8 hours we drove after that. The staff at Cracker Barrel got such a kick out of it.

I dont even know a thing about Harry Potter BUT I watched them build that part of the park. It is amazing. Universal isn't just Harry Potter...it is an excellent theme park. We LOVE the front of the line access we have. Makes our trip so much easier. We love Disney too...however we dont love it enough to spend twice as much to visit.

I agree with you. I don't think the 9 and under crowd is into HP. I also have a hard time with Disney thinking my 10 YO should be classified as an adult. :confused3
