Dis friends, I need your help.

I just returned home yesterday for a week in the middle east. I am dealing with a 13 hour flight and 7 hour time difference, plus withdrawals from not being online for about 9 days.

This site is the only one I checked yesterday before going to bed for 14 hours. I came on today trying to "back read" to catch myself up, but between jet lag and all of the information, my head is spinning- literally. I read that DV extended their offer. I have a question or two.

1) Is the FD for kids QS for all resort levels?
2) kids 3-9 receive FD and free park tickets? Does this include park hopper, or is that an extra fee?
3) I think I saw the offer is for 4 or 5 nights. We will go for 8 nights- will our kids get all nights free or only 5 or so?

Some background info for us- we are 2 adults, 2 disney kids, wanting to go for 8 nights and 7 days. We will get park hoppers but not water park option.

Dis friends are always the best help- thanks in advance.

As I understand it you can book up to 14 days gettng 10 days kids stay and play and eat free which is for QSDP and regular passes no park hoppers you would need to upgrade for those and it is available at all levels of resorts pending availability

1. Yes
2. Includes base ticket. You will have to pay difference for park hoppers.
3. You will be able to get the offer for your entire stay of 8 nights.

Hope this helps! :thumbsup2 Welcome home!

Wow, the answers I needed and fast, too. I knew my Dis friends would come through. Now- on to do the math to see how this helps. Thank you!!!

Yeah where is CanadianGuy?!?!?! Come out come out whereever you are! We need some reassurance here!

POP 9/4-9/9/10...already booked but want free dining!! ...especially since we're taking the grandmas along for the adventure!!

Hey our dates are similiar... we are 9/5-9/11... staying at Sports.... Plus we are also in Indiana!!!

I've been following this thread and hoping everyday for free dining or better yet a resort discount. I've tried all the tricks to get a pin but have had no luck. My head is spinning from trying to figure out if the kids free deal would help us out at all. I'm pretty sure it won't but I'm hoping one of you will be kind enough to help me do the math. We are 3 adults (1 of these is my 12 year old, but she's an adult by disney standards) and 1 child. We were not planning on getting any dining plan unless it is free since we are staying at a villa and can make some of our own meals. I don't think it would be worth it to us to buy the qs dining plan for the 3 of us just so that we can get the child free plus the child admission free but as I said my head is spinning from trying to do the math. By the way we are staying at BLT for 10 nights with
6 day MYW tickets. So am I right? We would be better off not going with this plan?

Well, you'll be spending $90 a day just on the QSDP for the adults...I doubt the free tix and QSDP for the child will be more than that per day.

I have faith that it is FD.....someone mentioned in a post sever days ago about tiers. Maybe just maybe, that is one of the tiers . Or..........that is an offer that will be only extended to Visa card members.

Help me out!!! I am trying to be positive.:worship::worship: I may lose control if I am not.:scared::sad1: DB says when all this is said and done, I am going to need a vacation from all my planning stress I am causing myself and family members.

Am I that bad?:confused3

Thank you, that's what I figured but it's nice to have someone else confirm.

I would like to just say that anyone who thinks this can save them even a little bit of money should book it!!! If you wait for free dining and it doesn't come out, what you would have saved may be gone, if your resort of choice or dates of choice sell out. It does not hurt to switch to free dining after you booked this, so don't think you are stuck with it if something better comes out. That does not happen.

Well I think this would be the perfect time for Universal to offer a great package. I think it would seal the deal for all those waiting for Disney to come up with something. I think right now we are seriously thinking of heading there for the bulk of our vacation if they have a good deal.

Universal if you're listening....

Absolutely! Remember the kids that started reading the Potter books when they were 8 or 9 are now teens. Even the high school and college age kids in my neighborhood are huge fans and are dying to get to WWoHP.

I'm 54 and I'm a huge HP fan!!! Dang, can't print that age any smaller!!!

we were able to book this package and it worked well for all people in our party. It save us 577 dollars of our original price and 442 dollars off of the price we had when we had the 20% discount.

If tiered free dining is released and it is quick service at the values, it is only a16 dollar savings per group to take free dining and at that time, it isn't worth the time I will be on hold plus the potential loss in the hotel we want to rebook for 16 dollars worth of savings. Now, if it is general free dining, then it saves us an additional 180 dollars and that is worth it. FYI, we are a grand gathering so, I talk in groups.

They have offered a great deal. Look at the resort hotels...Stay More Save More. You can get into the onsite hotels for as little as $131 a night.

Yeah, but the ticket prices are not any cheaper right? It doesn't seem like a very good "deal". Do they ever lower ticket prices in September?

Where's Canadian Guy? We need some calm, reassuring words of wisdom!
Well it is the weekend, maybe he is away or just wanted a break from us obssessive folks. :lmao: And maybe he doesn't really know any more than he already reported. He did say when he reported this that it is Disney and changes are bound to happen. Seems they may have happened. ;)

Knox is just giving us the information he's been given...and until everything is confirmed by Disney, these are all just rumors. He's even stated as such by naming the thread "latest rumor." While we all love Knox here, just bear in mind that he's posting as much speculation as we are. Nothing is definite until Disney says it is. ;)

I still have hope for May3rd! Not like they have not had multiple deals out before.

Jackie

No they do not lower their ticket prices. Getting one of the onsite hotels for $131 a night is a HUGE bargain. Rack rates on those rooms is over $300 a night. Universal onsite hotels offer unlimited front of the line access to US/IOA rides. They are like a Deluxe hotel at Disney.
