I do not blame you in the least for going for the DVisa deal like you said at least it is a savings which can go to paying for other things and you have the peace of mind of having the resort and room type you want, instead of waiting for the unknown. :thumbsup2

I figured I'm going anyway so what the heck some savings is better than NONE LOL.
Still gonna wait with you guys for free dining like a crazy person

Oh great. . .:confused3What are adults only supposed to do with this Disney Visa offer? I'm bummed. What if that is the offer?? Argh!

Please. . .free dining. . .please. . ..:upsidedow

if you could switch your players around, you would save money... the 3 adults (assuming they are all adults, not just "disney adults") in one room is costing you extra per night... swap one of them w/a kid if you can...

No, they are Disney adults.....in our party it's only my husband, myself and then our 5 children. Our two oldest are 16/14 so disney adults....but still not costing us extra on the room. Thanks for the suggestion though :)

We are currently booked at POP for 8/17-27 under 20% off pin. I thought the kids stay/play/dine offer might be good for us since I have 3 kids in that age bracket. But, after doing the math, if I switched to this new offer, it would only save us about $155. A free dining promo would be so much better for us. Not sure if I should switch us to this Visa offer and then hope to switch a 3rd time for free dining in the future or am I pushing my limit with switching discounts a 2nd and possibly 3rd time?

We have something similar, but found that the savings were much more! With 2A and 2C (one baby who doesn't count for pricing purposes), we are at POP from 8/17 - 8/26 in a preferred room with 10day park passes and park hoppers for all as well as reg. dining. We used the 20% pin and our total was $2921.

We added kids stay play and dine and upgraded to regular dining and the total came to $2542.42!!! The CM said, "The bad news is that you're only going to save about $400." I said, "I'LL TAKE IT!!!"

Might be worth calling and see what they have to say. You can switch every day until the 45 day mark without worrying about a thing. Do it and save some cash!

Can someone double check my pricing LOL.

2A & 2C
Standard Room at Pop
August 15-20
Quick Dining Plan
using the KIDS EAT and PLAY Free.
Only getting 5 day park tickets.

I am getting 1271.14 Total With no Insurance...

Is this correct?

Cause I am getting over 1300 for the same package with the FREE DINING Promo...

I am waiting right beside you. We have kids, but both are Disney adults. So no savings what so ever in this deal for me. I will continue to hope, but that hope is definitely fading now. I agree with others who said they will not offer this and free dining. It just doesn't make sense.

eta Congrats to those who have been able to take advantage of this offer!!!!

Gee, doesn't Disney want families with kids over 9 any more? :confused3 I'm beginning to feel banned from the country club.:sad2:

Ya know... I'm kinda bummed too, but not giving up yet. This doesn't make sense for Disney, since so many kids between 3-9 will be in school during the end of August and the whole month of September. I know people will take their kids out, to go, but not that many with it being so early in the semester.
Mine's in preschool, so we can use the deal (though free dining would be so much better).

I'm holding out hope that there will be free dining, if not another deal to go along with the kids stay/play/dine free. They'll probably offer something, at some point between now and the fall, to entice those that don't have kids aged 3-9. :thumbsup2

I certainly hope that we know something soon! I would love to have another one of these videos! (Last year we took the kids to Disney...they thought we were going to see their grandmother in Georgia....we pulled over for lunch at Cracker Barrel and told them...this is my sons delayed reaction!)

Here is the one where they found out we were going to Disney...not grandmas!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1OW3KaUFVNo

Melanie, I loved your videos. Your kids are so sweet. Got me all choked up. Thanks for sharing! :)

This really doesn't help us either- we have 2 adults and a 2 year old (who I would consider part of the preschool set that they are trying to lure?) i guess we'll just wait and see what happens. Dana

:faint: I'm so tired of waiting.

Ok. . .Knox, where are our paper bags? I'm going to need one soon!:lmao:

It is just my friend and I (30 and 31). We definitely don't qualify as kids, so Free Dinning would be the best for us. . .however, I do have a 20/30/40 PIN, so I guess that would help somewhat!

Me too! I have already mentally checked plans A,B and C for our trip... I am still assuming some sort of discount will be offered for us no pin people. I mean they're offering 30% for resorts in the summer so I can't believe they'd leave a good number of folks out of some sort of discount offer. But it might kill me to have wait for it :)

OK...i have been stalking these threads for SO long...I am going insane!

Let's discuss this possibility...

When Knox gave us the rumor there was no talk of when the Disney Visa FD would come out. Everyone just assumed it would be the 29th but it was never actually mentioned to start. Only the May 3rd date was discussed...

What IF...Disney Visa gets the kids free deal and the GP gets free QSDP? Just a thought...

I'm so with you on that. I've worked out the numerous discounts, offers, and possibly offers to see what will be the best option. It might kill me to wait too. If the fall promo isn't free dining, it had better be good, or we won't be able to afford going this year. :sad1: I've been so looking forward to it! DH actually suggested my friend and I go together. I know that is a once-in-a-lifetime thing for him to do!!!!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: I like the way you think!!!! Come on Disney FD! There are so many of us waiting and wishing and praying!

With the extention of the kids play and eat for free- Looks like disney is driving alot of people straight to universal to harry potter. IS THIS THE PLAN???????????????

Not really ! They are trying to get the kids who would be going to see HP at Disney with this offer. The offer is amied at young kids who like HP! IMO we will see a repeat of last year with FD from Oct 3ed thru mid December ...

I think people are getting a little bit ahead of themselves....:goodvibes

I tend to think that Knox wouldn't have posted the "rumor" without having some pretty solid sources behind it. Nothing Disney has done over the last couple of weeks make the Fall FD offer any less likely, IMHO.:thumbsup2

I'm still betting that 9 days from now, there will be plenty of happy people on these boards!
