I also added the DVisa promo to my ressie and upgraded to DDP. I will save about another $200 "when" FD comes out, so I will switch to that "when" it comes out. I did have a hard time booking with this promo - they said because I'm staying 6 nights, I had to have 6 park tickets. Well, that last day is a travel day and I didn't want the extra ticket and the ad CLEARLY said 5 day MYW ticket. They did some crunching and were finally able to get it done. What a hassle!

I told the CM that I still wanted FD and will still hold out hope. He said, "last year, Free Dining came out the first week of May, so just keep checking". I said, no it didn't, it came out the first week of April and has for the past couple of years. He said "no it came out the first week of May, so just keep checking". Was he trying to tell me something? Does he know something or is it all still rumors that he could also be hearing from us?

UGH! C'mon Disney - you are killing us!

Last year their was an add'l FD that was offered in June for the same dates that were offered in March...I think they extended it, it must of not booked up as fast maybe that is why they are waiting this year.:confused3
I will post the info from mousesavers for the promos so you can see.

I have been lurking for a while now and thought it's time for me to join in on the anticipation too :goodvibes

We have a cabin booked in Gatlinburg, but a couple of weeks ago Disney popped into my mind and I wondered if maybe it could be affordable for us. It has always been a dream of mine to go there. To my surprise going at the end of August plus with the possiblity of free dining our total for 6 nights would only be 1275.

If no FD is offered we will go with the Visa offer. FD will save us about 170.00 compared to FD so while it will be a nice savings it won't make or break the trip. But I am really hoping for FD, especially since I am having bad luck with airfare. Haven't booked those yet and I am waiting to book our stay at Disney until May 3rd just in case.... This is such a great group! Thank you for the wonderful positive thread!:yay:

if Dink means Double income no kids.....I'm SICK, Single income carload of kids......

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

yep thats me too! well not really I only have 2 kids but the kids stay&play wont work for me either, I have 1 under 9. I have 4 adults inc. my mom. I am going to call today to get a price for the 20/30/40 pin, I dont think Im doing the numbers right, alot of people that have it say that its only a little more than FD but when I do the numbers its only saving me around $300 where FD would save me around 900!

What level resort are you at? The pin generally only saves people more than FD if you are staying Deluxe. We are staying value and the pin is nothing compared to FD.

Edit: Your sig says you are going to pop- that would explain it! The pin was saving us $16/night, but QSDP would be $32/night/person or DDP $42/night/person.

I guess I may be one of the few lonely ones on here that the Visa deal works better for than the Free Dining. :rotfl:

We have 5 kids, only 1 is 11 and the other 4 are in the 3-9 age range!

We figured out the numbers and the Visa deal saves us about 350-400 dollars more than the Free Dining. I was happy to see it extended. Dh had said if unless it was a better deal than the free dining than we wouldn't be going until next year. Me and the kids are so excited we don't have to wait another year to go to WDW! ;)

I was able yesterday to add a night to our Bounceback for FD for a little under 100.00. We are staying at pop to get the most bang for our $$. Ok I'm cheap. But seriosly my kids love it there .So our dates our 9/24 to 10/3 at pop with 10 MYW base tickest. This is 2 adults, one child and one infant for a total of 1675.00. We have tons of Water park tickets left so we don't need those.

I hope FD is coming around the corner for everyone. Did I say I love free dining.:banana:

We are staying at POP too! September 23-October 2!!! I got the free dining on a bounceback last year however my sister and her family decided to go this year and are having me watch for the FD like a hawk.

Seems like quite afew of us are staying at POP during 9/23-10/3 dates.
We should post our pics so if we see each other on the properties we can say "Hi":)
Our dates are 9/24-10/3

I am not in the UK (where free dining was offered a month ago)
I don't have a Disney Visa.
I don't travel in June, July, or Mid August.
I like table serve, and counter serve, and even a snack or two. (just not to pay for it)
I will gladly support Disney over Universal.
I like to tour Epcot, to see how the other side lives.
Canada is the second largest pavillion (not sure if this is true), the first most booked table serve, and the cheese soup is to die for!
My name is Twokids, I want free dining and, I AM C*A*N*A*D*I*A*N

My brother and his fiance our going. They are hoping for FD. But they are already watching this thread.

Sorry if this has been asked... in a hurry...

The kids play and eat free that has been extended to DIS Visa holders... is that likely to be the offer given to the public soon? Anybody know when room rates change from value to regular from September to October?
Also, do they still allow you to book on the last date and get the deal for your days of stay after that?

Thanks for the help! :thumbsup2
