I had already put down a $200 deposit and they said I had to put down another when I booked FD to make sure I still had the card!?!?

That's odd. All I had to do was verify my card number. I had already used my Disney Visa for my initial deposit.

The CM asked me "Do you... oh yes, I see it here" and that was it. I assumed he was talking about my Visa LOL I never verified anything but my name and address oh and my orginial ressie number.

Hey all... We were able to add FD to our ressie at Coronado Springs Aug. 25-Sept 4th. We are SOOO excited b/c this is our first stay on property and our first time with FD.. So its going to be an adventure!!!
We booked at 9:00am and had our confirmation email by 10am.

ARGH! I got ASMo but the price from the phone was over $300 more than what the website quotes if I just do a regular non discounted MYW package reservation for room and 2 day tix.

For Aug 28-Sept 5 , 2 A and 2 Juniors (children 10 and up) at ASMo Standard Room with 2 day base tickets and no insurance

website price $1444.34

phone price $1764.34


WHY?

I have played on the site with some different options to see if he did the wrong tix but I can't get that amount. I don't have to time to mess with it anymore now, but is anyone else getting different numbers on the phone for the actual booking than if you put it in the website as just a package without dining??

That doesn't make sense.....so then your deposit technially was $400.00 for one room?? Others haven't had that......others did and got there money refunded. Am I wrong?

Is anyone else still waiting for email confirmation? I changed ressie yesterday at 7am..still no confirmation email. I checked the reservation online and it looks like totals did change though. Maybe it takes awhile when the system is so overwhelmed? Just curious if anyone else is still waiting for confirm........

I was on the phone yesterday at 7:00 to add FD and I had my email confirmation about an hour later. I'm sure everything is okay - they are probably just SWAMPED. Give them a call, they can send another one out.

On a side note, I STILL haven't gotten an email from DVisa announcing FD....good thing I found this board!!!!

I like helping people out so I went over to the Disney site to mess around with numbers. I got the same price as you for your hotel and 2 day tickets. Maybe they thought you wanted to upgrade to the DDP...that would add on $10/per/night. So, since you have 2 kids that are Disney adults, that would be an extra $40/night which equals $320. Just call back and say that you want the free QSDP and you didn't want to upgrade to the DDP.

The prices I booke for FD was exactly the price I got when I priced out Room and Tickets only on the web site once I had them remove the trip insurance.

Did you get a detailed breakdown of the package details that were quoted. I suck at figuring the number of night but, if this is for 8 night the the difference would be that TS was added to the price. $10 per person. $40 per night. $320 for 8 nights.

I do they are upgrading you to full dining.. tell them you only want QSDP and reiterate.. If the CM can't get it right - ask for a supervisor.. and go over each item line by line..

Sometimes -- ya gotta do that. It's too bad but they just aren't training the front line phone CM's like they used to.

I just called this morning to try to get Ohana's (was full when I called yesterday) and the CM found me a table...yay!

Anyways - I said to her, I noticed that FD came out for Visa holders yesterday...and she said, yes, keep your eyes peeled because fall offers should be coming out VERY soon for GP. I played dumb and thanked her...I wonder if the CMs know the 5/3 date was on the Visa site?

Either way - what are the chances the offer will change from what the Visa offer is to what the GP offer will be?

Well.....according to the DV site, the same offer is going to be given to the general public.

As usual I owe my DV FD to the Dis!!!!! I never get any email alerts from them.
Anyway Im excited, we got our two preferred rooms @ Pop from 8/20-8/26. At the time of booking the CM invited me to upgrade to CSR for about $1000 bucks more. (yeah no thanks!!!) but I know about 750 pages back (LOL) in this thread there was someone wondering if CSR is included in FD this year.
We have done FD a couple times now and are happy to try out QS. We like the less planning, less scheduled aspect this time. (although I did secure a lunch at Le Cellier! That one I am willing to plan a day around and pay oop)

Woohoo! Called this morning to have my reservation adjusted for DV free dining and on a whim asked if CSR had availability with free dining. They did and I jumped on it! The total was something like $36 more than I had originally intended to spend to stay at ASMu. I would have never known to keep a look out for FD if it weren't for this board, thanks everyone.

Now to convince my daughter that she will like CSR as much as ASMu. It's gonna be a tough sell. Is there a smilie for groveling?

Yep! That was it. He never said what Dining he was doing, he just kept saying the MYW package with the Free Dining and he was when I said the price was higher than I thought.

He was very nice but it probably right that the training needs to be updated. Kind of have to wonder how many other people he did that to yesterday and today.

Very lovely woman took care of it for me and the cost is exactly what it should be. I might not have ever figured that out, and I still don't have a confirmation.

Confirmations are WAY delayed and sometimes dont' come. You may need to call back next week after the heat from the GP release dies down and request it sent again .. or possibly faxed..

Email confirmations don't "always" work as they should I find ... another problem that should have been addressed a couple of years ago but still lingers..

I noticed a PP asked about booking online on Monday for the general public FD - that may not work for you. Sometimes you can't book online the first couple of days on a new promo.

If the PP wants Pop, WL, CR or POFQ, they'd better call.
