I was able to book 5 deminars we wanted very quickly. I wish everyone else as much luck as I had!

As for why PassHolders didn't receive an email... I NEVER get emails from them so I am delighted that Tables in Wonderland was on top of this and sent the link as soon as it was available to them.

Done also. Booked Puple Wine, La Creama, Figge Cellsrs and Mezzacorona. This should be fun. My DH and visited the La Creama tasting room in Healdsburg CA in May, it was very nice (and crowded).

Looking forward to Figge Cellars as we have a trip planned for next March to explore the Central Coast wine region.

I registered for Keegan Gerhard on 10/1 - $10 (much as it will pain me to walk away from the food booths on the first day...) and Emiliana, Chile ($6 beverage demo) and Concha Y Toro Winery ($7 culinary demo) on 10/2. Didn't specifically care what we registered for on 10/2, just wanted to be out of the heat and off our feet for a little while to rest up for the half marathon that night!

Everything worked great til I realized I didnt have my annual pass with me to fill in the number. Luckily DH did (although I think I probably could have filled anything in at that spot, as long as I could present a valid AP when I got to the demo. Who knows)

I got Jamie Deen on the 16th -- the day we are attending Party for the Senses. We opted out of any beverage seminars this year. The one we attended last year was interesting and I learned a lot about French wines but I didn't really like any of the wines we tasted! If it had been free, no big deal, but paying for one just didn't seem a good bet this time, especially when we can have plenty of wine later at the Party.

I wanted to sign up for another seminar on a day when Rick Springfield is playing by my SO nixed it. Sigh. Maybe I'll go over to Disney by myself one of those days.

I didn't get anything from Tables in Wonderland either. Got the link on DIS, but would have dug until I found something. I was expecting it tomorrow, until the link was posted on DIS. Thanks to those that posted the info!

Same as last year . . . without the DIS boards and this forum I wouldn't have known any of it. I'm a passholder, but didn't receive email last year or this year. Then again, I never receive any passholder emails.

I booked a beverage seminar for $6 and "non-celebrity" culinary for $7. (I noticed Todd English would have been $10) I only booked a total of 3 deminars. I'll decide when I'm there if I want to do any others.

I have to say that for me the $ is worth not having to line up hours in advance. I'm not a wine drinker, so I always gave my thimble away, but last year I felt like the food portion and the experience was worth what I paid.

I've not been asked for my AP at the demo itself . I think they use the registration info, and they're used for payment purposes. Of course, I've always got my AP and TiW with me.

I totally agree with everything you said!! LOL......I enjoyed the thimble sized wine portions......Just can't tolerate much more wine due to the headache it gives me, but I enjoyed the tastes. I really have enjoyed the culinary experiences, too.

I booked 3 Warren Brown on 10/11, Sam Adams on 10/12 and Gina Greene from the Magic Kingdom (doing Crab and Sweet Corn chowder YUM) 10/12.

Considering one of the Belvedere seminars later in the week Strawberry balsamic martini just sounds too good...

Just FYI, I received confirmation from food and wine festival that tickets can be booked for the passholder/DVC/TIW member and up to 3 additional people. (I'm going down with 10 adults, only 2 of whom are passholders, so it mattered =))

I'm glad that they provided details on what some of them are serving. I almost booked a culinary demo, but scallops are being served, and I don't like scallops. Oh well, I was able to book Robert Irvine 10/22 and Andrew Zimmern 10/23.

Was waffling about the culinary demo on Oct. 25, but the one I thought we might go to said "serving duck". Uh, no thanks. So we are going to the Hearty Boys that day, and La Crema and Purple Wine. The Purple Wine demo sounds interesting. Then I booked several for just myself on Oct. 30, DH goes home on the 29th.

If you are there during the Hahn Family winery demos, they have some very good wine.

Agree, one we were thinking of turned out to be vegetarian and DH would not go for that.
