**2010** Epcot Food & Wine Festival ENDED 11/14. 2011 FESTIVAL 9/30-11/13

There's been notification by Sam Adams that they won't be returning for beer seminars in 2010.

Sam Adams beer is still being served however at the Hops & Barley if you look on the list on the F&W booklet so I would assume that Disney aren't doing any seminars for beer at all. I wouldn't think if they cancelled the Sam Adams one they would be happy Disney finding someone else but thats just my opinion!

They're not doing the seminars. In a previous post someone posted the e-mail they got from Sam Adams that said they would not be doing the seminars. Yes, the Sam Adams beer will still be available for purchase, but no free seminars. There's no info from the festival that says anyone else will be doing free beer seminars either, although a number of varieties of beer will apparently be available to purchase tastes.

Nope, no announcement yet of the actual schedule. Booking for TiW members, DVC owners and Passholders is Aug 26 and then goes on sale for others on Aug 28. We were told this at the Sneak Peek Dinner in July. Last year booking was available on-line or at the Festival Welcome Center, not via phone.

Thanks for this detail. LAst year, we had the list before the booking date. Hope that it is posted soon....

Do you have to pay for food and/or wine with cash or can you use a Food and Wine Festival gift card or charge it to your room? We were there in 07 and really didn't try too many things but I really want to dig in this October.
Thanks!

You can use cash, credit cards, debit cards, Disney resort room keys with charging privileges, Festival-themed Disney gift cards, regular Disney gift cards, Disney Visa Reward Dollars, or DDP snack credits at the booths (snack credits are not positively confirmed yet for 2010 and can't be used to purchase alcoholic beverages).

You may want to carry a little cash in case the card scanners aren't working, that sometimes happens.

Thanks for the quick reply! I guess they will take everything but Monopoly money ;) And thanks for the cash tip, I'll remember to take a little of that too.

I bet it's better than Disney's. Unfortunately it is being held the two nights I am in Orlando that I definitely can't go.

Have you guys seen this? The Swan & Dolphin resort is hosting its own mini food and wine festival during Epcot's with 6 seminars and a bunch of tasting stations...

The chefs in the different restaurants at Swan & Dolphin are quite excited about this event because they get to create dishes that aren't on their regular menus. The food booths will be set up on the causeway between the two hotels. The manager at Il Mulino, Tatiana, will be emailing us updates as she gets them for this event. It will be a nice break from the booths at Epcot.

I wish I was able to go.... I don't arrive until the 12th.....

Did you get a confirmation number for the modern mixology? The lady I talked to was really confused about what I was booking, put me on hold for a long time, told me she would called me back, when she called me back it was for more credit card info and then said that I would get either a call or an email sometime this week with confirmation. I guess it didn't help she didn't seam to know where Canada was...

I'm sorry but that's the most amusing thing I've seen posted here in a long time. Next time try telling them you're from America Junior and see if that works. ;)

All joking aside ... you should be fine, just keep an eye out for that email confirmation. :goodvibes

Thanks. My email ends in .ca instead of .com so that started it. Then when she asked for my address she started asking what time zone Canada was in...I told her I am in the part above Montana and she said but your a diff. country.
I am used to having to say I live in the city for Ice Road Truckers season one because nobody can place me on a map.
