**2010** Epcot Food & Wine Festival ENDED 11/14. 2011 FESTIVAL 9/30-11/13

I don't think Disney will do that...but the rumor is out there. And there are some folks who are desperate for a Candlelight Processional package who might latch onto the rumor.

well, some of us are desperate for special event booking on Tuesday and we have more incentive because we are hungry and thirsty ... :rotfl2:

We've got to be hungrier and thirstier and have faster fingers...

Does anyone know if the "for a fee" seminars and demonstrations need to be prebooked and if so will this occur on Tuesday as well? We want to do the two which are for a fee and offered daily at certain times of the day....I believe they are a culinary demo and wine. Please advise. I called, but the CM I asked was not sure.

The seminars and demonstrations that are $8-13 can be pre-booked online, but not until late August, 8-26 I think.

I would love to know more about the Grape Getaway before I commit to other events, but I haven't heard anything beyond the initial release. I have a Tables in Wonderland membership, but haven't seen anything from them yet. Has anyone heard anything more?

nothing here ... no premailing from TiW. Ours usually shows up well after event booking begins.

I got the mailing today from TiW for F&W. Surprised, we're usually the last to get anything from them

JenKatt - are you just teasing me? If you really got the mailing can you let us in on what the Grape Escape package is all about?:worship:

Sorry bethanye, there's nothing about it in the book. It's like a Cliff Notes version of the booklet you'll get at F&W.

JennKatt is in Florida, so she'd get her mail from Disney faster than us... I suspect all of ours will show up in the mail on Tuesday... well after what we want has sold out!!! ;)

While that makes sense, we have NEVER gotten anything from Disney earlier than everyone else. Never. We're always a week or so behind. That's especially been true for TiW or it's earlier incarnations. Here's to hoping y'all get it Monday.

Darn, but thank you for responding so fast. I guess we will just book events and not worry about the package. Wish they hadn't said anything.

How do they expect people to be able to plan appropriately to book a package like that if they don't give out the information? It just boggles my mind that a company that is so well known for customer service could be so boneheaded about this.

Did the booklet you received in the mail have any of the daily seminars/demos in it?

There's at least a summary of the weekly events in the book. I don't have time to scan the book (I have finals next week for grad school). But I did look at the book TDC Nala has scanned on the first page of the thread and everything looks the same. If I can I'll scan the weekly events tomorrow and have her put it in the first post.

:confused3Good Grief! Could we have a little bit of time to look over the events before calling in at 7AM (6AM my time)on the 20th! Very frustrating.

Can/would ANYONE who has received the infor about the Getaway clue us in? Please? We are a TiW person and have never received any mailing and probably won't until after booking which of course means we won't have a prayer. This is just not right. We have tried to 9 years to get an Exquisite Meal at EPCOT and only once (when another party cancelled ) were we able to enjoy it. I don't know how people get these I am up at 7AM with 2 phones and cannot get thru. Now we won't even get to READ about the Grape Getaway until too late. Please someone - let us know!

Thanks for all the info everyone.

I love the Epcot Food and Wine Festival and am happy to read that the themes for PFTS have gone away!! I usually always sign up for PFTS on opening weekend but will have to miss it this year as I'll be doing the 1/2 marathon that evening and assume that wouldn't be an good combo LOL! It is going to be hard to behave on that Saturday but can't wait for all the other festival days! I live close enough to go on each weekend if I choose to and do have a week off in at the end of October thru Nov 7 so will be able to add a longer trip then.

Disney may be shooting itself in the foot by not releasing Grape Getaway before Tuesday... I would guess that if you are really interested in going, don't sign up for any other special events on the dates they released for the Getaway, as those events are not refundable.
