is it the same or going up?

Just wondering...;)

ETA:

how big of a pain is it to add DDP to a ressie (4+3, MYW)...

TIA

If by DDP you mean the basic DDP (1 TS, 1 CS, 1 snack per night) it is going up.

Most of the year it is $41.99 per adult and $11.99 per child per night.

Between any of these dates:

February 12 – April 10, 2010
June 4 – August 14, 2010
December 17 – 31, 2010

the cost is $46.99 (or $47.99, have seen both listed) per adult and $12.99 per child per night.

The quick service DDP is going up to $31.99 per adult and $9.99 per child per night with no seasonal price differential.

The price of the deluxe DDP will not change.

If you already have a MWY package all you have to do is ask that a dining plan be added to the package. You must do that no later than 72 hours before your arrival date.

When we were there in May of this year, we paid $39.99 per person, per day. I read in the 2010 Birnbaum that the price is currently $44.99 per person, per day. Seems like a bit of an increase in a short period of time.

Birnbaum's is totally incorrect - the prices are either $41.99 or $46.99 (maybe $47.99, see above), not $44.99. Those prices are per adult, not per child. And the pricing is per night, not per day.

Sorry....per night...my bad!;)

I was just looking at the 2010 dining plan brochure and there is nothing listed for Coronado Springs. Is it normal that they aren't on the early list of restaurants or does this mean they aren't participating in the dining plan next year?

We're purchasing the quick service dining plan for January and may reconsider this if Pepper Market isn't going to be available.

It's normal they are not on the list this early. Pepper Market and Maya Grill are both non-Disney owned, so it usually takes a little longer to confirm their participation. The same situation happened last year as well.

Exactly. This happens every year. I would not worry yet.
I can't imagine Disney ever having a hotel that does not have a CS option.

As a side note Pepper Market is not as good as it was six months ago so you may want to review that if it is your main reason for QSDP.
It is still a good value for a CS credit, but the quality of food is not as good as it was a short time ago and I am a big fan of the CSR.

is this correct? will they be adding other rest. soon to the list..because it looks to me the list is longer for 2009 than 2010..hope im wrong

All non-disney restaurants take awhile to be negotiated, so I'd consult the 2009 list and by January the list should be more comprehensive

Yeah, it will be added on later. This has happened before with some other Epcot restaurants. Has to do with who actually owns the restaurants I believe, or some technical thing like that.

I think this happened with Teppan Edo before, actually. I'm sure it will get updated soon.

Thanks for all the info so far - I was concerned too that the DDP seemed smaller for 2010 but feeling better now knowing that it's probably not finished. I can't make my ADR's til March anyway so I would think that the full list would be finished by then. :)

The lists are up now on Disney's site. Click Dining, Dining Plans, the one you are interested in, then scroll down. Halfway down the page after the MYW package details is a link with a Pdf file of DP information and locations. Just saw it all this morning.

We Book Mid Yr and got the Disney Dinner plan with 3 table meals. we or got a list of the Plan Locations, But we or going Jan 8 to Jan 17 and we went on line and found the new list late today and you would not belive just how many locations or not listed. OVER 50% of epcot has been removed. downtown disney went from 12 down to two. and just goes on and on, What a Rip off. been told one thing and when you get down to it. Just like everyone els. just rip you off and take your money

Hello from Texas. We or going to be there Jan 8 tell Jan 17. we have the Deluxe plan and looking over the list for 2010, I feel i was ripped off in a nasty way. Over 50% of epcot is gone. down town disney 90% gone. i see some talk about end of the yr and go back and look but by then i can not down grade my plan. My Wife BD is the 11th. so i got that part covered. Had to or be sleeping outside and Boy it is a long walk back to texas..

Any chance you can cancel or down-grade your dining plan? We have done the basic dining plan just once, and although we enjoyed it, it isn't a must for us. The Deluxe Plan with 3 TS a day would probably never be an option for us. #1; We don't eat that much and , #2; spending up to 6 hours a day eating takes away too much park time. Hope it works our for you!

No reason to be alarmed or to feel ripped off. This happens every year.

The 'missing' restaurants are the ones that are not owned by Disney. Their compensation for accepting the dining plan has to be renegotiated each year. They'll be added to the list of participating restaurants before the end of the year.
