Just a little FYI. I called MS this morning to ask a question about booking a cruise on Tuesday. I was told that the Point Charts are ready and are expected to be posted online at any time now.

She did give me how much it would be for a Cat. 10 for the 5 Night Key West stop cruise. For the June 8th, it was 193 per adult, plus 83 for a child age 2 ($584 for child if paying cash.) It shocked me how much it would be for the child. I was told that the points were factoring in the Fuel Surcharge. For the June 22nd cruise, it was 216 per adult and 89 for the same age child ($624 for child if paying cash.)

Just wanted to post this to give everyone an idea of the points. It is disappointing, however, because this is way too many points to spend, so we aren't going to do it :(

I'm sorry to hear they keep raising them so much... We booked a 4 nighter on points for this past July in a Cat 10....total of (only) 392 points for 2 adults & 1 child (11) way back 2 years ago... Last year they restructured the point charts & adjusted the dates a lot...they gave a bit of a slashing to the more off-season times but raised the peak periods (summer) significantly when they did this. We have probably done our last cruise on points. We can't even afford points for 1 person on some of the longer cruises. As it was before it was about 1 1/2 years worth - but once you hit 500+ I am not willing to give up 2 years of points for 1 vacation. I think using points to cruise is over for those of us that are "points challenged"!:sad2:

We're hoping to go on a cruise in 2009, but will prob. rent our points and pay cash. Seems to make more sense that way. Unfortunate it's so high on points, but I also understand that DCL and DVC are two totally different companies. Hope all works out for everyone tho!
