last time for the transatlantic crossing the deposit was $500pp...i am assuming it may be the same for these cruises too...
i also came on here to ask this question!i want to book the 7night barcelona to dover (which only sails on one day) but will be on the ship on the 14th, and on an excursion in the morning. do you think that it will sell out that quickly and i'll miss my chance? or have very long lines to book while on board that day? if anyone knows how it works with booking these while on the ship i would appreciate it also!
Ok... I need help! I am wanting to book the Sept 8 2010 Med cruise BUT... I am not sure when to book. I am taking a 7 day eastern in dec and was thinking of waiting til then to book it because of the discount and OBC BUT... will it all work out in the wash if I wait or will booking on the 14th assure me a better price? PLUS... I would like to take advantage of the 50% deposit. How much is the deposit for a 10 day? HELP! Please... thanks!![]()

Even here in the U.S. -- we live in the northern plains, no big cities near us - I checked prices for this September to Barcelona and back from Orlando - $2700 a ticket per person. Only two major airlines fly out of the airport here, so we have little choice and prices are expensive.

Look at a discount carrier out of Barcelona in 2007 we flew easy jet from Paris to Barcelona it was cheap & convenient.
Most flights to the US are through London or Paris or Milan in Spain check Madrid

The problem is ANY flight to Europe from small places in the U.S. are going to cost big bucks - Just to fly anywhere WITHIN the U.S. we look at minimum $500 for a ticket pp. So a flight from Podunk to Paris or Milan or London might save us $200, over Barcelona, but the hassle of booking more airlines, connecting flights and another ticket with a discount carrier, probably negates most of the savings anyway.
Question for the Europeans - we're planning on taking the Northern Caps cruise in 2010 and will fly over a few days early. I would like to fly into Paris and my wife said we should fly to London. Questions:
1. How easy is it to get from London and Paris to Dover?
Very easy by train Eurostar or local services, coach from victoria car hire and even plane
2. How much would it cost to get from London/Paris to Dover?
It really depends on your route I think the best and cheapest is train, for example Paris>Ashford by train would be about $100pp
3. How much time would be need to go from Paris to London and then back to Dover? That is, is it a short train ride or an all day train/ferry/train ride?
Paris >London by train 2.5 hours, Dover 1.25 hours

For international services from Paris or DLP use Eurostar and if you want to go to Dover change at Ashford.
For trains to Dover from London they go from Victoria and Charing cross in central London.
Hi all- dumd ques- I was looking at the page on DCL with the westbound repo info on it- at the bottom it stated 3 and 4th guests pricing would be $99??? Someone please tell me what that is about!![]()
Specialist DCL TA's are very good, but I would say the chances are equal.Would using a TA increase my chances of getting a Cat 3 room for the Northern Caps cruise?

Hey Andrew
I miss not having to race to get the first row (second section) at the Walt Disney Theater with you.![]()

Yep, I noticed that, too. The $99 price is only appearing on the Eastbound and not the Westbound, though. My guess... I have heard that the Westbound crossings can be quite choppy. I was told by a spa CM that several CMs had to terminate ther contracts early, because they couldn't get the rolling out of their ears after the EB crossing. She told me that she would be giving a facial and have to stop and go throw up in the middle.
