2010 Confirmed DDP Snack Credits/Add updates here

I'm starting to cut and paste the list for our trip and I noticed that the prices have gone up, some quite a bit. I know some people pick their snacks based on the value so I thought I would mention it. I don't pick them by the price, exactly, but I don't like to use them on snacks that are pretty cheap.

I just started so the first one I did is Aloha Isle at MK. Here are the current prices according to allearsnet.com

MK
Aloha Isle:
Dole Whip Soft Serve (pineapple, vanilla, chocolate, or swirl) $2.89
Pineapple Float $3.99
Coke or Root beer Float $3.79
Pineapple spear $3.29

The one that really jumped out at me was the pineapple spear. It's listed on page one as being $1.49. Now it's $3.29. When I saw it was $1.49 I figured I wouldn't let DD have one (using a SC, of course!) but at $3.29 I will!:rotfl:

I know OP you can't take the time to change prices as they go up but I just wanted to let people know (who like to maximize their credits) about the pineapple. Oh, and the Citrus Swirl (Orange and Vanilla) isn't specifically listed but since it's the same price as the Dole Whip I assume it's okay.

Back to my cutting and pasting.:goodvibes

Also anyone who's down in Disney now and at HS, may wanna check out "Hollywood Scoops" I don't know if it's new or just renamed from a different place, but it doesn't ring a bell to me. Allears has it as an "updated" counter service. It sells only ice cream novelties. Just wondering if it participates in the SC. :)

We just used our snack credits for breakfast at the BC Marketplace. I got a lemon cranberry scone, DS had a plain bagel, and DD had a cinnamon raisin bagel. Thanks for this thread. We think using snack credits for breakfast is the best use for them (all except for when we are at HS and want cupcakes from Starring Rolls!!!!!!)

I agree. With all of the food you'll be indulging in for the rest of the day, a snack credit breakfast is always our plan as well. None of us need more than a bagel, donut, or something lite for breakfast.:thumbsup2

Hollywood Scoops is on Sunset Blvd. on the corner where you turn to go to RnR or veer to the right for ToT.

Based on the pricing I would assume some of the ice cream is a SC. If I have a chance I will check it out when we are there.

Does anybody here know if AK still has the animal head refillable cups? My kids want them this year, and I cant get a good confirmation if they still carry them.

I have asked this question a couple of times (not on this thread) with no response.:confused3 They used to be listed on the allears menus, but are no longer listed.
Hopefully someone back from a recent trip knows the answer.

I am not sure where you are seeing that. I am on Allears right now and they are not listed for Andapur ice cream. It says updated June 2010. You must have an old page bookmarked.

Hmmm... it wasn't a bookmark, it was just by me googling. You are right though, I don't see it anymore... hmmm weird.

Is there no snack items you can get there such as the breakfast items such as bisquits and gravy or the cereal there?

We were at AK today and didn't see any animal topper sports bottles.

Do you know at pizzafari if at breakfast you can use snack credits for the cereals or bisquit and gravy meal?

I would not count on getting the biscuits & gravy for a snack credit. Although I have seen reports of people getting this item at some resorts for a snack credit, DH was turned down at French Quarter...even though the total for it was under $4, he was told it was only available as the entree on a CS meal, because it's a Plated Entree, not a snack item. Maybe you can...it's certainly worth asking. Just be prepared to pay cash for it if they say no. Be sure to report back here if you can get it for a snack credit, that would make a lot of guys happy!

I agree, we had the same experience at POFQ last November, we were told that because it was "plated", biscuits and gravy were not available for a snack credit.

My sister got the biscuits and gravy for a snack credit at All Star Sports back in June, but maybe they've changed the plan again. We were there the first day of a change in the snack plan and I had to pay out of pocket for my oatmeal, but if I'd ordered grits, it would have been a snack credit - the cashier also took my sister's plate back to the counter to have them add a biscuit, because another change was that 2 biscuits were included in the snack credit for biscuits and gravy.

Just wanted to let everyone know that on Fri Aug 20th we were able to get those make your own surger tubes at the gift shop at in the Sea's with Nemo gift shop for a snack credit. We were able to get the small 6 once ones.

Is the carrot cake cookie at Starring Rolls no longer a SC? I didnt see it on the list and Im really hoping I just missed it...

Just an fyi on Kaki Gori, they raised the price and removed it from the DDP. Although it was only 3 and change, they still would not take a snack credit for it. The only items at that cart area that are snacks credits are bottleed water and softdrinks. As it is DD's favorite snack, I did pay OOP for one, but just so you all know!

NOOOOOO!!!!!!! My DD was SOOOOO excited to have one of these! I'll still buy her one oop because they were the snack she's been the most excited about, but I am disappointed! Ice cream sandwiches from Main Street Bakery are still safe, right?

I see on the list lots of ice cream cones and cups, and an occasional ice cream sandwich. But what about the carts that have popcicles and ice cream bars - and Mickey bars? Are those on snack credits?
