2010/2011 DVC Planner- Do You Have It Yet?

Zilch. Nada. Nothing here in central NJ. :-(

Do you think they'll always be so late with these things? Seems so ridiculous.

Nothing in Maryland yet. It is a waste of money & trees at this point IMO....

At this point, I think it's more of a waste--I've already planned my trips for 2010 with the points on the DVC website.

But, that's just my opinion.

I think that's true for the majority of DVCers. Most have already planned their 2010 vacations and maybe their 2011, for which they probably looked at the DVC website. What frosts me is that our dues are paying for this "waste".

Agreed. The option to not receive a printed copy, and download it would save $$, and they could update it immediately, as needed, like when the Disney Collection trade points are finalized.

Our dues are not funding the Planner. The cost comes from their Marketing budget.

It's still a waste of money. Even the cruise lines have learned to make their planners as a downloadable PDF. However, I know many members still enjoy getting the planner and can't wait for it to arrive. Right now I'm one of those, although I'd be just as happy with a PDF that I download.

I like getting the Vacation Magic/DisneyFiles magazine and looking through it. Many think the magazine shiould be discountinued. But I enjoy holding it in my hand, kind of like the difference between a real book and an ebook.

But the bulky planner booklet, I'd rather download in a .pdf file. I wonder what percentage of owners use the trade options annually? As I haven't traded, and have no plans to do so in the near future, that may be one reason the planning booklet seems like a waste of paper to me. And, if in the future, I do want to do a trade with RCI or even an internal Disney trade, I think I'd find the online resource more convenient to use rather than the booklet.

But, everyone has their individual preferences, it would be nice for DVC to give us a choice. Even if not funded by dues, some division pays for it, and they'd benefit from the savings of the prep and mailing costs.

The RCI Exchange resorts are not totally accurate in the planner anyway. I always call to double check as on three occasions resorts have been added or deleted.

Nothing here on Long Island either. Ridiculous! Forget planning for 2010, it's already April, plans were made last year! Already looking into 2011 trips. I used to love getting the planner, but if I can't use it it's a waste.
Knowing its going out anyway, I want it, but I think if they can't .pdf it, they should cut it or get it in the mail by year end for the following year. Just my 2 cents:)

I'm a Disney Co. stockholder... they discontinues the printed full color annual report this year. They offered a downloadable pdf instead.

I did complain to Member Service mentioning that I think it's poor customer service to be so late in sending out the information, I got a response that seemed to put the onus on me. They will put me on a list to get one, but it's a "late" list and seems to be for those who are getting a replacement booklet.

:confused3
