2010/2011 Armed Forces Salute Tickets

Just got off the phone with WDW who confirmed that tickets expire on 9/30/12. I even posed the question ... if someone activates a ticket this weekend, they can use it here and there and use up their 4 days and it will just expire 9/30/12? The answer was YES.

Did I read correctly that the military tickets expire 14 days after they are activated? Is there a way to add a no expiration to that?
No. You did not. The Armed Forces Salute Tickets are valid until all entries are used, or September 30, 2012, whichever comes first.

And the No Expire Option is not available for them.

just get them at Shades of Green or on site when you arrive. what you get at ITT are vouchers anyway and must be exchanged at the parks.

Does anyone know of a military base in Alabama to get tickets? Our local base doesnt have them.

You can get them from ITT at Maxwell AFB, in Montgomery, AL. But, they don't always stock them, so you might call them and then they can order them and you pick them up. They are a few bucks cheaper than Shades, but only a couple dollars.
The Maxwell ITT number is below:
334-953-6351

I don't know what bas you are on, but your ITT office should be able to order them had get them in a couple of days, ours offered to do that, but luckily had them when we went to buy them.

The ones we purchased on post were the actual tickets not vouchers, they did have to be activated, but we got them back. When we added the WPFNM, they changed them over to a paper ticket.

Anyone know if they will be having another Military promotion after September 30th 2012 :confused3 We are planning to go in late Nov early Dec 2012  Thank you!

Who Knows What EVIL Lurks In The Heart Of Disney Marketing?!

When Disney feels ready to implement their next promotion they will do so. If other recent promotions have been any indication, for about the first month nobody will really understand it and the Marketing people will not have thought out all the ramifications.

Good thing it's corporate and not government. ;) No one would understand it for the first year and the ramifications would most definitely not be thought out. :rotfl:

I have a quick question. My family (5) are going to WDW with my military cousins (3) this summer. We have just learned of the discount. We will be attending the parks together. I have googled and found different answers on different sites. I know 6 tickets can be activated per week, but can boy cousin buy 2 tickets and spouse buy 6 and boy activate his 2 and spouse activate her 8 to cover all 8 of us, or can only 6 of us be covered by these tickets that week?
Thanks!

How many of your cousins are active duty, reservist on active orders, or retired?

Your boy cousin is entitled to 6 tickets - 1 for himself and 5 for his family/friends. His wife is part of the 6 - she can't get an additional number of tickets.

However, your cousin (and you) can go to Shades of Green ticket office to buy discounted tickets as well.

Thanks for clarifying. The different sites were not clear.:) We are not trying to take advantage, just make wise use of what is available.
