I don't have any interest in going to a water park...I would rather go to the beach or do other things instead...I am only interested in going to Disney for a 5th day....We have 5 days to spend at the parks, so I would like to do that, and spend two at Magic Kingdom....but I hate to spend $255 for one day....

That is the way the tickets are set up. Days cannot be added.

Is there any other way to get a 5th day at the parks without paying almost full price? (We are two adults, and one child age 5, my DD is free, still age 2).

In addition to the great idea of adding WPF&M to the tickets as another person mentioned, you could also purchase all six tickets and the three of you who require tickets can each use two of them. This would give you a total of 8 days. Unlike regular tickets, these do not expire 14 days after first use, so you could use the remaining three days on the tickets on another occasion before they expire. Just an idea! I hope whatever you decide, you have a wonderful time!

pretty much the only options are to buy a 1 day ticket at the normal military discount at SoG, or add the Water parks and More option.. which gives you four entrances to the 2 water parks and Disney Quest. or do as Dorothy suggested.

honestly, the 4 day special is NOT as good a deal as you might think. most people stay a full week and want to spend every day in the parks and only use the water parks for a partial day( like WP in the morning, late EMH at MK at night)

since neither of us do water parks or arcades, the WP&M option is a complete waste. and we will be there for ten days.. so we are just getting annual passes. but more because we want TiW.

The 4 day with WP&M is perfect. I have done the 7 day death march before and will never do it again.
It is nice to take a day off and go mini golfing, lay at the pool ect.

So, the rules for the tickets have changed if I am understanding correctly. In the past, my mother-in-law (widowed spouse) has been able to purchase 5 tickets for our family to use without purchasing one for herself (she doesn't like to do the parks, but hangs out at the hotel and eats meals with us). Now, it seems to read to me that she must purchase a ticket for herself in order to purchase the tickets for us as well? In the past, she was with us when we purchased our 5 tickets, but did not have to buy one for herself to use. Not sure if that would still be a savings for us all; must do the math since we would pay for her ticket.

Also, Disney has added another set of 6 tickets so that we could make another trip before September of next year? As I read it, you can buy six and use them in one two week period, then buy another six to use a different two week period.

Am I reading these two new rules correctly? Thanks for the clarification.

We already have our actual 4 day passes (not vouchers) as purchased by the military ID holder. Can we add the water park option to these tickets without the military ID holder present?

The service member does not have to be present to add WPF&M to an already activated Armed Forces Salute Ticket that was purchased as a hopper (or to add hopping to one purchased with WPF&M).

However, where you say you have the "actual 4 day passes (not vouchers)" have these been activated already at WDW? If they have not actually been activated by the service member (or spouse) at WDW they are still vouchers.

And can a person have more than one ticket activated in their name? For example, I got one for my sister last November, and she only used 2 days on it. This same sister is coming down for a week next month and would like to go more than 2 days. Can I get another ticket for her (plus her other 4 family members)?

Does your sister have the ticket? It should still be good and still has 2 days left. The expiration was changed to Sept. 30, 2012, no matter what is printed on the back of the ticket. After that ticket is used, she could start using a new ticket. A person can use multiple tickets in their name. Not limited to just one ticket per person per offer.

Sorry, I can't answer your first question. This subject seems hazy. In Cheshire Figment's ticket sticky, Post #17, Disney’s Armed Forces Salute, he doesn't write about any rule of only 6 tickets active at one time. He does point out some pertinent info worth reading, though.

You can have a total of 12 4-day tickets for your family up to Sept. 30, 2012. Your idea is to completely use the first set of tickets, then use one day on the second set and set the remainder aside until your June trip. Yes, you can do that. You will have 3 park days and 3 water park entitlements left for June. In June, you could think about picking up another set of 4-day tickets...

In any case, the tickets don't expire until Sept. 30, 2012, so you can use a day here or there, and a water park option here or there, until that time. You should come up with a system to keep your tickets straight. Which are used up, which are partially used, etc. You could put them in those little bank envelopes and label the outside, for example.

If you bought two set of thickets, the following applies

This is a "canned" response modified for the Armed Forces Salute 2011/2012 tickets with the assumption you have both the Park Hopper and Water Park Fun and More (WPF&M) options.

Hopefully this will make it a little clearer. In effect you have two tickets with different privileges on one card. Everything expires at Midnight on Sunday September 30, 2012. Even if you use up all your major park days, the WPF&M entries remain valid until used or 9/30/12. (Note you do not have to use the days consecutively.)

You have four days of access to the four major parks (AK, DHS, EC, MK), and may visit more than one major park on a single day without any extra charges. Without the Park Hopper option you can only go to one major park per day.

You have four entries to the minor parks (BB, DQ, OT, TL, WWS). These may or may not be used on the same days as you go to the major parks. However, if you went to TL in the morning, Oak Trail in the afternoon, and Disney Quest in the evening of one day you would have used three of the four entries. (Note that leaving and returning to the same minor park on the same day does not use an extra entry.)

If you go to minor parks only on one day and do not go to a major park you do not use up one of your major park days.

If you were to go to a Water Park in the morning and then one of the major parks for the remainder of the day you would have used one minor park entry and one day of major park entry.

Note that with the ticket unless you have the hopper option you can only go to one major park per day. Unless you have the WPF&M option you cannot go to a minor park without upgrading or purchasing a separate ticket.

I believe that answer is no. From the website:

No more than twelve (12) Disney 4-Day Military Promotional Tickets may be purchased, activated and/or used by any Eligible Service Member or spouse during the life of this promotion, and no Eligible Service Member or spouse may purchase, activate and/or use more than six (6) Disney 4-Day Military Promotional Tickets during any single week of the promotion.

You would not be able to purchase that 7th ticket until the week has passed. It would be impossible to purchase 7 tickets at one time. CF can correct me if I am wrong. Are any of the kids under 3?

No, unless she actually served, that is my understanding. Also, from my understanding, you can't have more than 6 active in a one week period, but I have seen conflicting info on that one. It would probably be cheaper to buy 1 childs ticket either at your ITT office or SoG where you won't have to pay taxes on it.

your Father could purchase all six but you would still need a 7th at regular military discount( if bought at SoG or ITT)

since the Authorized person's (in this case your father) IMMEDIATE family(authorized dependents) is not larger than the 6 allowed per transaction they most likely will NOT let him buy a 7th at that time.
