20090208 - DIS-BOUTIQUERS Gather here!!

Yeah.... I posted about that earlier and was wondering if anyone was going... but I didn;t know it was for 14 and over?!?! I actually have plans to see it on Sunday before we meet, but I'm not sure if I'll be bale to do ti now that my friend is coming with me.

Hmm, I guess we will skip it this mini-trip. It doesn't make sense to schedule our whole day around one park when all we can do is watch. Maybe when we go back in March...

FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY Disney has acknowledged our obsessiveness and are preparing for our arrival

:rotfl2: Oh this had me laughing!

I think everyone should dress their kids in the same theme- then we could get them all mixed up..... and some of you may get lucky! You may go home with someone else's dream child, or with one child less (or more!) because you couldn't tell them all apart! ;)

Hmm, who could I trade Megan for? Dallas? Lily? Tessa?

I think probably Megan will wear her Epcot outfit (see signature) unless it is chilly and then I will have to think of something else...

essentials include mini-sizes of:
shampoo, conditioner, body wash, mouse, hairspray, toothpaste, body lotion, face lotion, sunscreen, facewash, eye make-up remover, lip gloss, deodorant and body splash spray (Black Amethyst from Bath and Body Works...it smells heavenly!).
Do you see the problem....I can't take any of that out. Surprisingly, all of my make-up easily fits into one ziplock.
[/SIZE]

OMGarsh....you had me going for a minute and then I realized it was a joke :lmao: Hilarious!!!

shampoo, conditioner, body wash, mouse, hairspray, toothpaste, body lotion, face lotion, sunscreen, facewash, eye make-up remover, lip gloss, deodorant and body splash spray are ALL considered "liquids"...sorry!!! Don't forget that most makeup items are considered liquids too (even things that are clearly not liquid like lipstick) This is why I just factor in the bag fee in the total ticket cost. Just can't squeeze all of that into one little bag.

I've never put lipstick or chapstick in a baggie. I just run it through the xray in my purse. :confused3 I don't bring lipgloss, lotion or hand sanitizer or anything else like that on though. My airport says lipgloss not okay, lipstick okay. I couldn't even go to Las Vegas for the weekend without checking a bag. Of course I couldn't have brought all that fun stuff home from Sephora if I hadn't :rotfl:

Instead of starting another thread I am going to post this here, please don't shoot me! I think it will be easier to keep everything in here.

So, we are going to do a photoshare, I know some of you have expressed interested in sharing also. Will anyone who wants to participate please post that they are in or PM me please so I can kind of get this totaled up.

If you have never done a photopass share before here is a little about it.

Copied from another disser, thanks!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

How Photopass Share works:

1. Everyone will pay their portion when we close the group to new members.

This is an estimate as of right now.

The final amount will be based on how many we have total:
Currently WDW CD is $99.95 + $7 shipping that Disney charges to send the orignal CD. We would then need to add $3.25 pp for Jewel Case/ CD ($.75), padded mailer ($.50) and postage ($2.00 approx)

So if there are 5 of us, that would be $21.40 for the CD and then another $3.25 for the extras making the total per person $24.65.

Payment can be made with checks/money orders sent to me or I can accept paypal or cash at the dismeet.

2. Go on your trip and take LOTS of pictures! There is NO limit to the amount of pictures you can take! When you start your trip you will get a photopass card from any photopass photographer in the parks. Your photographer will then scan your card. Take as many pictures as you want !! Stop every photopass photographer you see. They are great opportunities to get the entire family in those pictures ! You can use multiple cards but it is easiest for you to try and use the same card as much as possible.

3. When you return home DO NOT create your own photopass account to view your photos If you create your own account with your pictures you will no longer be eligible for this Photopass share. I will have emailed all the info needed to enter your cards, please enter ALL cards at one time. Days will be assigned for entering photos.

5. Editing Info-We will assign everyone "upload days". That way, your pictures are kept together when they are entered into the system and your pics don't get mixed up with other familiy's photos. After you upload your pics on your assigned days, you are free to edit your pics up until the end of the share. All your edits will stay grouped with their original.

6. After everyone has entered/ edited their pictures, I will order our CDs from Disney. This will take about 2 weeks to arrive sometimes a little quicker. I will let everyone know as soon as I receive the CDs from Disney.

7. Once I get the CD from Disney, I will burn each family a CD for you, at this point I cannot guarantee that it will be only your family, although I will try to do it that way. I think we are all pretty comfortable on here if the other kiddos are on our CD's though. This will be easier to do if we have all entered our photopass cards on different days. I will then mail out all CD's.

Feel free to post any other questions you might have. I will try to login regularly and stay in contact with everyone throughout the share.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is easiest if everyone uploads on their day for editing purposes, otherwise the families are all mixed together, this does mean that you cannot usually uplaod them while still at WDW. Is everyone okay with that?

I usually like to try and keep WDW shares to at most 5 families, but this is a bit different since not all of you'll will be there for a long vacation or have your kids, so overall I don't think we'll have as many pictures. Once you hit 1000 it is really hard to get the photopass website to work well. It already can be a PITA sometimes.

So far I have confirmed,

Well I think Boston is a little more strict since two of the 9/11 planes left from our airport. I'd rather be safe them having them tossing my lipstick!

Thanks for taking care of all this Jessica!!! I'm fine with anyone having my pics (after I edited the crappy ones ;) ) so don't stress too much about dividing them. Plus I'm hoping that we might get a group shot of as many of us as possible.

I asked Tracie...okay begged Tracie...to come up with an iron on DISign for our group. And this is what she sent today! AND apparently she's working on a 2nd one. That woman is AMAZING!!!!

I love the mice! I really wanted to make a shirt with the mice on it but I am not sure that I'll get to it, especially since I haven't started any. I was sewing but my machine decided to make a black ball under the bobbin and I didn't want it to eat Jayden's shirt, so I stopped, while I was ahead and almost done! I think I just have too much lint in the case.

I have found each airport to have their own rules about what is what. In Akron Canton I had to take the DVD player out of the bag and send raisins through by themselves. LAX let anything go through, really, they did but then went on and on about the carseat and doesn't it fold up! NO! It doesn't fold! Atlanta is just a nightmare and I expect it. They make you put the ziploc in it's own bin and it seems every other thing. When I flew alone with Dallas I had about 35 feet of line that was just my stuff lined up! Stroller, carseat, bag, shoes, sweatshirt, ziploc and on and on. I skipped the laptop that trip to make my life easy!

You should try going through security if you are wearing braces on you legs and have a plate and 8 screws in your neck! I have to go through a special entrance with my ECV. Last summer, I couldn't get my shoes off fast enough for one "officer" and she reached down and literally ripped the shoe trying to get it off faster. I guess I really look dangerous!:confused3

I am honestly thinking of just checking my bag so that I don't have to deal with any of that. I will have to take my work computer for emergencies (yeah, there better not be an emergency!) and my park bag and a small suitcase. I can easily fit my park bag in my computer bag- heck, I could probably fit one of my kids in my computer bag! I really think that I will just pay the fee and check a bag so that I don't have to drag everything out!

I have thought about the photopass cd and I think I am going to skip it this time. But thanks for asking!!! :goodvibes

I absolutely love the t-shirt iron on. Kristine are you wearing it? Its fabulous!

I am so upset about the ziplock thingy. Seriously, women are discriminated against. What do men need? Practically nothing...some deodorant, toothpaste and a razor maybe. Women???? All of it. I am not paying extra for checking a bag. :scared: What to do..... what to do.... I didn't realize I was high mantainance...:rolleyes2

How much is your bag fee? Would it be cheaper to buy toiletries down there?

I haven't made the shirt yet...I want to see what else Tracie comes up with before I make the transfer. Plus she needs to add the other names of everyone else definately coming. Do we have a definate list of EVERYONE yet???

I will definately wear it though...and then it will become a rag when I get home like all my iron on shirts that never see the light of day again after we get back to the real world!!! :rotfl:

I really like both of the designs. I like the first because of the mice, but the 2nd fits the theme this year.

I llike the first one better, because I could not find big enough WWYC castle logo to make the 2nd one look better!

Tracie

They are awesome, both of the designs!

I don't know, would it help if Cindee or I (look how I am volunteering the local friend) brought some toiletries with us? Don't they put shampoo and conditioner in the rooms? Let me know if a driving friend can help!

Just had to comment how nice that is!!!

Thought I would save Kristine the trouble of saving and posting the design with names.

That is so so cute with all the names! I have to figure out what I can use this for! Thanks Tracie!
