Free admission on birthdays is BRILLIANT!

Chances are people will go with you ($$$)
You will eat and drink ($$$)
You will probably get a birthday souvenir - even if someone else in your group buys it ($$$).

Free admission on your birthday will make Disney lots of money. Gawrsh them marketing folks are smart!

LOVE the "What are you celebrating?" theme!

Interesting fine print on the birthday deal. Love the alternate options for APs.

Fun fun! :wizard:

Pretty cool. The only bummer for us is that we won't be going during any of our B-Days.

Q: I am a Passholder (or have a valid Multi-Day Ticket or a Seasonal Pass that I will use for admission on my birthday in 2009), so I don't need to take advantage of this offer. If I register, is there anything else I could receive on my birthday?

A: Yes, you have several options which are available for you to select once you arrive at the Park with your confirmation message and your proper ID. You can receive:

A birthday fun card in an amount equal to the price of a 1-day One Day/One Park base ticket* for you to use on your birthday for merchandise, recreation or fun activities at select participating locations at Disneyland® Resort; or
A special birthday FASTPASS® ticket+ for certain attractions at the Theme Park you visit on your birthday; or
A 1-day One Day/One Park base ticket for you to use any time until your next birthday.
*Ticket price at gate, excluding tax. Adults receive card in the amount of an adult ticket; children (ages 3-9) receive card in the amount of a child ticket. For terms and conditions of the card and details on participating locations, click here.

+The number of birthday FASTPASS tickets issued is limited and may not be available after 11am. Valid Theme Park admission required. FASTPASS for birthday celebrant and up to 5 members of his/her party.

A birthday fun card, in the value equivalent to your free birthday ticket, and which is valid on DOB only, and can be used in our Parks for merchandise, Disney's PhotoPass on-site services, and tour experiences. Not valid for Food and Beverage purchases, Disney Gift Cards, Disney Dollars, alcohol, cigarettes or Resort folio or spa charges.
A One Day/One Park Ticket that can be used anytime in the next 12 months from DOB. This ticket may be used by the Birthday celebrant only.
A Special Birthday FASTPASS® ticket which provides four FASTPASS® entitlements to select attractions for every person in the birthday party (maximum of 6 guests per party). Availability of this option is not guaranteed after 11am.

This looks awesome to me!!! As an AP, I thought I would lose out on this deal. The only drawback for me is, my birthday falls midweek this year, and DD's birthday is the day after mine. We usually do a 2 day trip for our birthdays, but that'll be too hard. I guess we can go down after school both days maybe, and at least get our free merchandise! Boy, will my kids love picking out free *stuff* and I will love not having to pay for it! :rotfl: DS and DH have their birthday week during our Spring Break, so we can definitely make it for both of those days too. :yay:

Birthday treats courtesy of DL!! Wahoooo!

WOW. that is amazing. I am really stoked as a passholder to get free merchandise!!!

Oh.My!!!! YES!!!! I can plan 4 small trips for next year!! WOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! LOL AP's are back in my future......lol

:yay: OMG OMG OMG :cheer2: :woohoo: ......... They are coming here  I am SOOOOOOOOOO there!!!!!!

Oh ohhhh, just saw this.....so this means we can all upgrade our free passes to AP's if we want right? On different days of course, but you know what I mean.

Q: Can I upgrade my free admission?

A: Yes, you can be upgraded to a ticket type of equal or greater value. However, you are responsible for any additional cost, and the new ticket may be used only by you.

this is so cool ill jsut get the package i was getting and ill still get a free card thats so cool. any one know what a one day ticket costs these days..this is really cool i hope they keep this longer then 2009
maybe i wont have to wait till 2012 to coem back to dl (smirks) ap maybe

The sweepstakes won't accept my postal code :confused3 ... and i know its right it is where i live :rotfl: ..... anyone else having this problem or can tell me what i'm doing wrong???
