From reading TDC Nala's thread it seems they may already be sold out:sad:. The bags are definitely cute!

We'll see you there Saturday! :yay: Maybe we all can meet up w/ MickeyNicki somewhere and share an adult beverage moment!

Ok Friday, 4:30 at the Grey Goose Slushie stand in France...I will be there, Disneyfav4ever and Tinkerbelle_325 will be there...come and join us and anyone else that wants to come!

We were at the Food & Wine Fest on Friday, and LOVED it! We were so happy we went on Friday because on Saturday it was pretty crowded.

My fiance and I had...

Chocolate Milk Creme Brûlée from Paris, France - This was okay. It was good, but nothing to write home about. I didn't really taste the chocolate, so that was a bit disappointing.

Parisien Cosmo Slush from Paris, France - This was tasty. Just what we needed to cool down a bit!

Kielbasa and Potato Pierogie with Caramelized Onions and Sour Cream from Krakow, Poland - I thought the pierogies were a bit overdone, but still good. I would've preferred a little bit more sour cream, but overall I was satisfied.

Chopin Raspberry Chiller from Krakow, Poland - Very good! It was a bit on the small side, but it was very flavorful and packed a punch!

Seared Beef Tenderloin with Sweet Potato Purée, Mango Barbecue Sauce from Cape Town, South Africa - This was my favorite of the F&W festival! I've heard people say that they thought the Seared Beef Tenderloin was overdone, but I love my meat well done (no mooing for me, thanks!) so I thought it was perfect! I wasn't sure that I was going to like the mango BBQ sauce, but it was very good.

Nuernberger Sausage on a Pretzel Roll from Munich, Germany - DF had this and absolutely loved it! It was a good size, too.

Sukiyaki Beef Roll from Tokyo, Japan - DF liked this! He said he'd definitely get it again.

Kirin Draft Beer from Tokyo, Japan - a nice cold beer on a HOT day. What's not to like?!

Warm Pretzel Bread Stick with Cheese Dip from the Brewer's Collection - This was the same pretzel bread stick you get at LeCellier - so it was good! The cheese had a little kick to it - almost like a nacho cheese.

Chicken Souvlaki with Tzatziki from Athens, Greece - DF LOVED the Souvlaki. He would have used all of our snack credits on this if I let him! :)

So will we !
Wish I could meet you all on Friday but we'll be at MK that day, and meeting friends at Jiko's for dinner. Darn! I've never gotten to do a DIS meet.

I can't believe we are going to be there at the same time!!! I am bummed that we can't meet up though :(.

I'm downloading all my F&W food porn pics right now- I'll be back to post them soon (it is taking for-EVER!!!!!)!

:yay::banana:Oh I can not wait....we will be there on the 24th and my mouth is watering!:cheer2::cool1:

Hi! Here are some pics from Sept 27th to Oct 01. I took photos of most of what we ate, except when it rained on Sunday- sorry!

Cheese & fruit from the Wonders Bar- served very chilled, hope they change that!
2009_100106summer0269.jpg

Caymus tasting, which did NOT feature Caymus (so sad!) but was Belle Glos Pinot Noir (which is owned by Caymus, but I was really looking forward to the cabernet)
2009_100106summer0274.jpg

2009_100106summer0275.jpg

Ireland- Lobster & Scallop Fisherman's Pie- delicious and lots of seafood in every tasty bite (including the one I took before I remembered the photo-oops!)! Also had a guinness-

Athen's Greece, Chicken Souvlaki with Tzatziki- love that sauce!
2009_100106summer0279.jpg

Athens-Spanikopita. Very crispy and light-

Then it began to rain, so I put the camera away, but we enjoyed the Santiago, Chile, Rock Shrimp Ceviche- but they forgot the popcorn!Very refreshing, like salsa and shrimp. Then Argentina for Grilled Beef Skewer with Chimichurri and Boniato Puree, which was very, very good- the boniato is a caribbean sweet potato puree, we loved it. Then drank a frozen Caipirinhia in Brazil- it was refreshing, but expensive for the size of the glass.

On Monday, after Tokyo Dining f&w pairing (I'll post it later, I just want to get all the booth stuff in) we tried-

Morocco, Beef Kefka Pita Pocket. It wasn't anything so terrific, I wouldn't go out of my way for this one-
2009_100106summer0412.jpg

Tokyo, Tuna Sensation. Good, refreshing-
2009_100106summer0417.jpg

New Orleans- Spicy Cajun Crawfish & Veg Stew. I tried to mix the big scoop of rice in that was totally covering the crawfish, but was afraid to spill. The flavor was good when you got to it though-
2009_100106summer0420.jpg

Then Bologna for some Italian food. I thought I was going to skip this (we live in the NYtri-state area, good italian food is EVERYWHERE) but I couldn't resist, and I'm so glad- both the canneloni & Polpettini were delicious- GREAT red sauce-we drank chianti placido with it-

The real deal, made with crepes-
2009_100106summer0435.jpg

On to Australia, for Grilled Lamb Chop with Red Wine Sauce and Murray River Sea Salt. Also Rosemount Pinot Noir. I agree with a PP, this was delish- well seasoned and very tender-mouth-meltingly so!

Cont'd next post-

YUMMMMMY...it all looks wonderful. I also love the Caymus Cab Reserve, did they sell it there at the shop? Also if you are a big red fan as are we, the St Emillion in France wonderful especially when paired with the cheese plate.

podsnel, you tried a lot of the things I am looking forward to!
I was so not looking to eat at the Italy booth (NNJ here too) but the canneloni looks great, and if it is similar to the one they serve in Tutto that gets rave reviews on the boards, I am definitely looking forward to trying the Italy booth for the first time ever!
can't wait to see the rest!

Next we stopped at Bangkok. We really love Thai food. First, Chicken & Coconut Soup with mushrooms, lemongrass & ginger. I did NOT like this AT ALL.
2009_100106summer0445.jpg

Then, Green Papaya Salad with Shrimp. The shrimp were very well cooked, the salad was crunchy. I was ok with this one, DH wasn't that crazy about the papaya. We both loved the Singha beer, though!
2009_100106summer0444.jpg

Then the opposite (for us, anyway) of the mouth melting deliciousness of the lamb in Australia- Seared Beef tenderloin with Sweet Potato Puree & Mango BBQ sauce. I think we just got a bad piece of meat- there was nothing tenderloin about it. It was like a cube of chuck meat. And the sauce was sooo sweet. The next day I did see much better plates of this going around, but we weren't going to try it twice.
2009_100106summer0448.jpg

We took a little break before going to Canada for the soup. Which I forgot to take pics of, because I was too busy taking pics of these funny CM's!
2009_100106summer0473.jpg

2009_100106summer0474.jpg

We ate the soup and drank a moosehead- it was DH's favorite of the day. Then Ireland for dessert- this Warm Chocolate Lava Cake with Bailey's Ganache was ALL THAT!!! MMMMMMMM.......
2009_100106summer0475.jpg

We finished up with a Parisien Cosmo Slush- which was a very, VERY red drink and we drank very, VERY carefully while watching Illuminations.
2009_100106summer0479.jpg

Personally, we both like the Citron or GM Slushie more. On another day, we had......

Paris, Cabernet Braised Short Ribs with mashed potatoes.
2009_100106summer0601.jpg

And, of course, escargot persillade en brioche-
2009_100106summer0602.jpg

Both were magnifique! We will absolutely make a return trip to France in November when we return. Then to Germany for Spaetzle Gratin with ham & cheese-(DH loved it, I personally like my spaetzle with a little less crunch, but I think it was the piece we got)
2009_100106summer0646.jpg

And Nuernberger sausage on a pretzel roll- this was FABULOUS (as you all know!)!!!!
2009_100106summer0647.jpg

In India, I took this pic while we waited for our order. It's Gulab Juman with Rose syrup and pistachios-
2009_100106summer0648.jpg

We liked the Rice & lentil crepe with potato & onion filling-
2009_100106summer0650.jpg

Then, in China, we tried Grilled chicken with Cumin and traditional No. China spices- yummy and salty (but not too salty)-
2009_100106summer0653.jpg

So cute!
2009_100106summer0652.jpg

2009_100106summer0654.jpg

And we had kielbasa and a potato pierogie in Poland which was delicious- mine had loads of sour cream, but I forgot to take a pic before we snarfed it down!

After my seminar, we hit Argentina for the Beef Empanada with tomato salsa- a HUGE portion! YAY!!
2009_100106summer0677.jpg

Mexico for a Corn Tortilla filled with shredded pork and purple onions-
2009_100106summer0678.jpg

New Zealand for a lamb slider with tomato chutney (it was like a lamb meatball, not at all what i was expecting).
2009_100106summer0682.jpg

And lastly, back to NAWLINS for some praline bread pudding with Bourbon Caramel sauce. Yummmmmmm...
2009_100106summer0684.jpg

DH thought the food we tried on this day was the best, but I think he was forgetting about a few we were crazy about the days before! We're going back in early November, so I'll have to hit the ones we missed then...and re-hit our favorites. :thumbsup2

Back later with pics from Tokyo Dining F&W pairing and Chefs d France demo-
