2009 Discussion-We'll make time fly by!

Have you packed yet?;)

Our rules are this...

1) You can't start your countdown until it's 100 days away.
( okay, let's be clear, for my kids you can't start until then we start the day we leave from our last trip )

2) You can start to pre-pack at the 60 day mark.

3) Get the suitcases out and start packing at the 30 day mark.

4) Load car the night before so all you have to do the day of your flight, is wake up, and go!

Congrats on being at your 60 day mark !!!!! :goodvibes :woohoo: :goodvibes :woohoo:

Add me on to the 2009 list :) My dh and I are taking our daughter, his mom, my mom and dad for our first family trip. Yeah!!!

Aug 27th- Sept 4th.:cool1:
The countdown is finally less than a year away:thumbsup2

I just bought our plane tickets:cool1: :cool1:

They were within my budget (I wish they were a lot lower like our last trip but didn't know what the future would hold) so I went for it.

Congrats on getting your plane tickets!!!!
I felt that the trip was more real when I had plane tickets and reservations.

I think I might be crazy  , but for kicks and giggles I repriced our vacation for June to try and take advantage of the buy 4, get 3 free and I would save like $500 bucks :scared1: . I don't know what to do, I doubt we could get free dining going at the beginning of August, but what's the chances of something better coming along? Decisions, decisions..my mind just hurts now!

How many people do you have going? Ages? Do you have free dining now? You could always rebook again if something better does come along.

I'm wishing we could move our date up. I priced it and it is $400 cheaper including the airfair!

Anyone able to take advantage of the new discount??? What a deal!

Not us.... since we are going during Easter week the only deals were at the club levels and that would be at least another $1000 more. Oh well!!

We also booked our flight yesterday on Southwest so there is no turning back now:thumbsup2

Yes-we were planning a trip next spring anyway and when the deal came out I booked it. We already have tix but still booked pkg with one day tickets. About $500 cheaper than room only rack rate for CBR.

Just reserve my package discount this afternoon for June 5-13 at POFQ. I looked at upgrading to WL but decided we are comfortable at a moderate and just be happy with a great discount.

Luckily, we were!!! I rebooked a whole new package yesterday right at 5, then left a message with my AAA agent to cancel the original package. She called back today to let me know she got Disney to transfer my original $200 deposit over to the new ressie, so we now have $400 down on the trip.

We're saving $577.22 AND....we're getting an extra night at the Poly/day of dining!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe it?? I'm soooo excited! We had 6 nights booked, and had planned to stay off-site the first night, as we did last trip, after our long drive in. But now we'll be at the Poly all 7 nights!! Really the savings is over $600, since we now won't need to pay OOP for the offsite hotel or offsite dinner that first night! I am sooooo happy!

Now I need to convince DH to take an additional day off work. It will still work if he doesn't, but it will be better. Last time, we left at Midnight thurs nite/Fri AM. Arrived in Orlando 7 PM, ordered a pizza and crashed. What I'd like this time is for DH to take Thursday off as well. We can't leave in the AM b/c DS is in school and missing 6 days is enough I think. But, what I'd like is for DH to take the day off, stay up most of Wed night and sleep Thursday during the day. He plows snow so he's used to this odd stuff. Then we could leave around dinner time Thursday night, drive straight through the night and get to the Poly around noon or so! Better chance of getting our requests than 7 PM and we could check in, hit the pool or take naps, just relax. I'll be booking Kona dinner for that night (CM's will be our 2nd night now, but that's OK), so we'd just hang out at the resort. Get to bed early and be ready to hit the MK Saturday morning! Doesn't that sound like a better plan than arriving at 7 PM?? LOL, almost 6 months to talk him into it. (He hates taking time off, and only gets 10 days/year, this would be 7 of 'em)

Forgot to add - now I have an additional ADR so I get to peruse menus again to choose one!! Love that!

Hey Tikkipoo!!!

We were lucky enough to get in on this deal too!! :cheer2: :woohoo:

I rebooked our room only ressies, (still at POR the 1st week and POLY the second week).

Even after buying the required one day passes..I STILL SAVED 1500.00!!!!:cool1:
