2009 Discussion-We'll make time fly by!

I didn't even think about some of the flights dropping. I guess that's something that I should check out. I guess that an airline "typically" has the same flight schedule on a day of the week basis - so if it has an 8, 11 & 5 departure time on Saturday, they would normally have these times available?

Airtran used to have three flights a day out of our airport but just within the past couple of months they dropped the 3rd flight out on Saturdays which is the one we would have needed.

Just got off the phone with central reservations and 1st i want to whine about how the stupid thing answers the phone! No press 1 for resort reservations and 2 for dining (or whatever the numbers are) but TELL me what you want to do -- so i do "modify resort reservation" says I, "sorry i didn't understand can you repeat that?" says she! Then a bunch more inane questions till i finally got thru to the most HILARIOUS CM i have ever spoken to :rotfl2: .

Long story short I changed our resort from the POR to the Caribbean Beach since i realized we will be there during the Pop Warner cheerleader thing and don't want to share the resort! I am getting so excited as the time slowly marches on

I have to use automated systems all the time and they drive me batty!!! But at least you got to a good CM. That can make everything better.

I think I'm really going to do it this weekend. I think I am going to press the "book it" button this time. I still don't know if I should use a TA or not. :confused3 The whole thing just makes me nervous, but the possibility of getting a discount after booking and also not having to call to make my ADR's myself make if very tempting...

Had a dream last night that the flights for NWA were $89.00 round trip. And I was debating buying them...

Anyone else have strange dreams about their upcoming trip?

I have weird dreams all the time about Disney, but they are never good like being there all week and realizing I didn't go to any of the parks. Or in one dream we left the kids at the airport and didnt notice they were gone until we were at our hotel. :lmao:

You must wake up in a total panick!
Hey Candizfan,

My travel agent called and got my info to book dinners for us starting Sunday for our stay during March Break. I'm happy with all our choices, I think seeing as I don't really know much. My question to you is about the Brown Derby restaurant. She mentioned booking us into the 50's Prime Time Diner. We frequent restaurants with a 50's theme around us but I'm wondering about the Brown Derby. Our kids our 6 and 9. They are used to going to restaurants but I was just wondering if the Brown Derby is okay for kids. It would be nice to go to 1/2 decent place for steak instead of a diner place. Our 9 year-old daughter LOVES steak. Can anyone give me some dining ideas or tips and answer this one about the Derby?
Thanks loads.

:cool1: woohoooo we are now officially "less than a year away".......ok, so only by a few days, but hey, we are still under a year!!!!!!

Our dates for our trip are now up on the airline site so I can officially book our airline tickets but I won't be yet. They are at $580.00 round trip right now. On our last trip I booked the day they came out for $200.00 a piece. I am going to wait and hope it will come down some. I will probably break down and buy if they go under $350.00.

We don't have the low cost air carriers at our airport so I cannot get those great deals others seem to get.

Well I have never eaten at the Brown Derby but I think if they are reasonably well behaved it should be fine.

I loved the 50's Prime Time restaurant. The food was wonderful the server was friendly and funny and the price was reasonable. The pot roast was incredibly good.

:scared1: Oh my! That has to be upsetting.

I had a little surprise in the mailbox today~Disney sent me a "Welcome Back" packet :) . Nothing super special, but it had a personalized letter with tips and must sees, a packing list and a map. Just enough to boost my spirits. The economy still has me worried that this trip could get postponed, that and DH starts a new job on Tuesday and that alone has me freaking out. I'm sure they will be OK with the vacation, but you never know. It was an opportunity we could pass up, so I just hope it all works out.

I love those kind of suprises! Makes me feel like a little kid getting something in the mail! :goodvibes

I cant wait to get my packet. Waiting and waiting is all I have seemed to do. I have had this trip planned since January and the year seems to have gone by quickly.. I guess. I am soon to be down to 2 months and change. I feel so terrible for all of you guys with so long to wait.
