Wow, a year ago!! I just looked and I didn't stumble upon the thread until October, but that's still been over 7 months already!!

I will be booking - through AAA-as soon as the packages come out. Really hoping they are out early August, since we leave for Myrtle Beach on August 15th. that will be a busy week and I'd like to have the Disney booking over and done with before then.

I've read some posts that said DDP "rumor" threads started up last June - and most of them ended up being right. So we might start hearing more on that in a month or so.

I have been wondering if they will make any changes to the dining plan. I really liked how it was prior to this year. They probably won't go back to that but I sure wish they would.

Wow, I can't believe this thread was started a year ago! 2009 seems so far away, but we are almost halfway through 2008 and look how fast it went! My plans are still a split stay 3nts/6nts, but it will either be POP/POR or POR/WL, depending on if discounts are available and how much money I can save up. I think we're going to skip the DDP this trip. It gets a little confusing with the split stay and I'd rather have some flexibility with what to order for the kids (i.e. it would be nice to get them pizza at a pizza restaurant that doesn't offer pizza on the kids' menu!!). So I guess I could book room-only now, but I think I will wait for the AAA rates to come out. I think they will come out at the same time as the packages. I'll start with booking POP/POR and upgrade if/when I can!

Oh me too!! I wish they'd add the tip and the appy back in (or at least the tip). I don't even care if they have to raise the price a good bit to do it - I'll be paying for the tip anyways, I'd rather just do it in advance!!

I was the one that set it up and I had some problems with my Yahoo a month or so ago and my account got accidently cancelled. When that happened I think the group must have also got cancelled. Not postive that is why but it happened about the sametime so that is my guess. There wasn't much activity on it anyway. I will update you with my progress though - 40 pounds lost!!!!

hello every one im new im hoping to attend disney for the first time ever on sep 09 hopefully i will be staying at the pop i just started here so your gonna have to give me a few to catch on ..cause im clueless on how to use this board it will be me my dear hubby and 6 kids 2boys (14,6)and 3 girls (11,17,9)yes big family going Im hoping that disney will have free dining again in 09 around sep.it will be a big chunck to save in food wise..ok now i hope i did this right till later..

I have become a tad obssessed with checking the availability calender on the town home we wish to stay in. We have a certain one we really want, and it fills up fast. Everyday I check it and has been getting closer and closer to my dates. That darn rebate check better come soon.....it's like a race at this point

Pop Century is awesome......it's my oldest son's favorite. We, unfortunatly have outgrown it and are moving on. We will of course pop over on a resort hopping day, my son loves their arcade

Hey fellow 2009'ers, just checking in. Haven't been around in almost a week, it's been crazy with the kids and their schedules...baseball and softball season . Just got done catching up on all the posts that I missed. The list sure is growing for us die-hard Disney fans .

Haven't done very much lately, April was just entirely too crazy, hopefully May will be better . Happy planning everyone.

The IRS has a page that shows you the time frame of when you should be receiving your stimulus check...it goes by SSN. Also, if you did direct deposit for your taxes, you'll get it faster.

We're waiting until at least May, 2009 to return... over a year. It seems like a long time, but the planning part is fun! I'm on the boards hoping to make it seem more real this way.

Our plans and dates have changed.
DS has had enough of WDW
He'd rather we have enough money to furnish his dorm room than pay for him to go on a trip he won't enjoy...
So...We're thinking we'll be going with the 3 youngest girls in September of 2009. We're also thinking that since they'll "only" be five of us we'll go to the BCV, since we can now fit in a room we can afford.
So that's the new plan - BCV Sept 2009!
