2009 Discussion-We'll make time fly by!

Yeah for all the early planners! I'm so excited to go January 5-12th 2009 with my two sisters. I can't wait to start reserving our room and buying the package!

Just returned from a 6 night stay at the Poly and I can't wait to go back!

I am planning on going back the beginning of March 2009!!

Yeah! I just found this thread and am equally excited! Anyone else going the last full week of April next year? Now that I am under a year away I am becomming an overly obsessive fanatic!

Well guys, it looks like we will have a new addition to our March 2009 trip!!!! I just found out this morning that I am pregnant! Our little one will be about 10 weeks old when we go in March!

I just got off the phone with Disney reservations. I was given some pricing for April, 2009 but was told "Nobody books right now because the prices are so high". I asked if I could book now and switch to a package once they come out and the CM told me, "That would be very difficult and they may not do that for you". What????

First of all, I can't believe that Disney doesn't have 2009 prices out yet. For those going in January, 2009 - that's only 9 months away. The CM says they won't have pricing out until late summer. So you mean to tell me that some folks will be able to book their dining reservations before their accommodations? That's absurd.

Maybe it's just me, but I really don't understand the wait. :sad2:

Is it always like this? I've never booked this far in advance, but really want to (especially with my Federal Tax Credit coming soon!!!).

Thanks for listening to me vent! :scared1:

Disneymooner---CONGRATS!!!!

lucky978---I know it seems a bit nutty how things are done. It is also a pain for some 09ers wanted to make ressies now so they know how much everything will cost. Vent anytime!!

I'm going January 09 too and was hoping to book early. I was told on another board that all we had to do was make a deposit and hook up with a package when they come out. I totally agree with you, waiting till August or whenever is cutting it so close!

I'm hoping it's just the one lady you talked to and she's wrong...:scared1:

We are getting ready to book for April 2009... but we are doing Land and Sea.
I think I am adding a day or two to our land package... 4 or 5 days on land and 4 days at sea... our first Disney cruise :cheer2:

We had originally planned going back in December 2008, because we enjoyed Christmastime so much, but then we found out a cruise leaves on DD's 15th birthday and that is what she wants as her present (I am not particularly devastated :rotfl2: )

I just found this thread and am so excited. My DH thinks I'm a nut job about obsessing about a trip more than a year away. We are planning a trip in June 2009 and are staying at a Deluxe this time. We're usually at a mod, but hey, life is short and it's only money. We can make more, right?

We will be going the end of February 2009, we were there last in 2006. Can't wait to get back!!

See my DH thought I was crazy planning our 2009 trip already. I usually only have to plan for a year, but I get to pay off bills this summer. We usually go every summer, but not this summer:sad1: . My girls are like so we are not going to Florida this summer?!?! I told them we'll survive. We'll get a zoo membership and wish we were at AK.

So, I'm just planning away for Summer 2009.

chalk up another 2009er here!

although we are planning the week before Christmas 2009.......so we have a super LONG wait.......but my little one is too little to go now (6 months), so the wait is worth it for him to be just old enough to actually know a little of what is going on.

We will have a party of 11 adults and 3 kids. my parents are treating us all to a 9 night trip at Wilderness Lodge, park hoppers, dining plan etc. thanks to a recent inheritance. my parents, me/DH/son will be2, sister/BIL/niece will be 6, nephew will be 3, sister/soon to be husband, cousin like a mom to me) and her nephew (18), and a great aunt in her 60s.

December 11-20, 2009

we will probably book with dreams unlimited as I have done in the past once packages are out, which I guess will be forever from now? :rotfl: :confused3 :thumbsup2

oh and we already have some tenative dining plans too.....but still a few to make.....

Breakfast-
Crystal Palace
Hollywood and Vine

Lunch
Sci Fi Dine Inn
ESPN with dessert at Beaches and Cream

Dinner
Hoop Dee Doo
Candlelight Processional dining package- not sure which epcot eatery yet
Ohana
Whispering Canyon
Liberty tree tavern (maybe)
Chef Mickey's

I've eaten at all of these except the H&V character meal- i actually used to work there on the WDWCP when it was just a cafeteria, so should be good memories. ONce we start our family planning meetings, we might change these to make sure everyone is getting to eat where they want---but i think this includes most requests so far! Now that we have 3 kiddos, we are skipping the higher end places like Le Cellier and California Grill which we loved last time. We will also try for CRT for the girls probably or just take the Norway princess brkst.
