2009 Discussion-We'll make time fly by!

DISNEYmooner2008 - I feel your pain. I planned our entire honeymoon last year by myself. I asked my DH's opinion, and he said that he couldn't decide where he wanted to eat 6 months in advance :lmao:

I think next trip he will help more with the planning but I'll still do most of it.

I am not completely sure if you can book just yet. I always just wait until the packages are released. I am thinking I may have to try and book room only for now because we are now thinking of trying out a ASMu Family Suite instead of the Poly. I know! :sad2: Anyways, I think that there are only a handful of them so I may have to jump on it soon.

I like when DH offers his input when planning. I just make sure we are getting closer to the actual day trip before I ask what he wants to do. I am still not really planning yet...just dreaming of ways to make enough money between now and next year so we can stay at the Poly.:cloud9:

Me too!! We just returned from our honeymoon and had an amazing time. He didn't help with ANY of the plans  At the time I was upset, but it's better that I just do it. You know what they say - if you want it done right, you gotta do it yourself!!! For our April 09 trip he says he doesn't care where we stay, touring plans, where we eat, the UG, TGM, or anyother thing... :rotfl: I'm excited beyond belief though!!! I've already started working our our ADR's and ready to book as soon as we can. We are making one reservation for DH and I and my mom and dad. **Hopefully** there will be a new addition to our family by April 09 and we'll take care of those arrangements :)

ooo I'm so excited....When I get my income tax money back - I'm booking our stay at a Windsor Hills townhome. I've been watching the availability calenders on some, and was surprised some are already booked till May '09. I have it narrowed down to 4 or 5!!!! Hubby actaully sat down and checked them out with me  :woohoo:

I had a nightmare last night that we were at Disney and I had forgotten to make any of our ADRs!!!! I woke up in a cold sweat! LOL

Dh ask me how come I know where we are eating in 2 years but not what I am making for dinner that night. LOL

OMG! That's so true--I've never thought of that!!!

I always have Disney nightmares. They usually involve me having other people with me (non-Disney people including DH) and they ruin the whole trip!

Eating was my DH's favorite part of our last trip. He knows I am already planning for our dec '09 trip and it really gets on his nerves, but he says to me the other night "make sure we get to eat at......" and named several World Showcase restaurants. He really liked WDW, he just thinks I shouldn't be so nuts over it.

This is what I have to watch also. DH is more than happy to help plan but not too far out like I like to do. I told him this summer though when we book I need his input on stuff and then right before our 180 day mark. I just have to watch that I don't talk about it non-stop until then or he gets kind of moody about the whole thing. So that is why I spend so much time on the DIS - you guys will listen to me for the next 571 days!

Hello everyone.. I would like to join you all.. hopefully we will be going to WDW in January of 09 for DD 6th birthday. It will be our kids first trip. I just don't know where to start in planning.. so much to do. I haven't been to WDW since 1993 and we stayed offsite. I am hoping to stay at the Poly this time.. I am so happy to have found this site. Everyone is great, and the info is fantastic!!

Take Care,
Cathleen

I too am planning a trip for 2009. Thinking we will go last week September to early October for Ds 7th birthday. THis will be our first trip ever. Planning on 9 nights with 5 at BC and 4 at either Poly or WL though leaning towards Poly. Can't wait!

I don't mind the planning talk...heck, that is what this thread is for. I think we are all in the same boat. We just need an outlet for this Disney fee-vah we all have!

This is a great thread! I always start my planning with where we are going to stay, then where we are going to eat on what days. The info portion of the disboards, wdwinfo.com, has a lot of great info...as do the discussion threads. The resorts board is a good place to start.
Your trip is less than a year away! Lucky!

The time you are planning to go is a great time! I wish I could go again during that time. The place is decked out for Halloween and it is still warm to go swimming. Oooo, and MNSSHP!! That is a fun time, too!

Being on the disboards really does help to make the time go by. Reading trip reports really helps me dream the days away. :cloud9:
